  1. Putting it in my diary now
  2. It's his turn today. I have to wait until March 25th
  3. Yes, that's why I said 'I was about to ask' and laughed. btw - nice to see more Stewie
  4. I was about to ask why then you hadn't included the CRAP Senator in your blitz... (although Mogar is correct NS is no longer relevant to Senators) Gosh, maybe Senate control is something of a maroon herring compared to just forcing everybody to change team after a curbstomp.
  5. To be fair, dominance of Maroon has basically been their aim since they moved here back in... uh... 2011? Something like that. After failing to achieve it initially they have simply waitied until conditions were more favourable. Nice to see an honest CB
  6. Kellyanne Conway writes my press releases...
  7. Hi Caustic I kinda remember that, as I was TTK gov at the time, but I had to got into our archive to refresh my memory as it was three years ago and actually pre-dated OBHF. 19th March 2014 three NG members applied for a Diplomat mask on TTK’s forum: Erwin Schrodinger (Triumvir) dane0 (Advisor) Caustic (Advisor) [ranks taken from the info given at sign-in] Erwin Schrodinger and dane0 were masked and had an embassy set up within 24 hours. However there was much gov-level discussion about your application. When you signed up at our boards one of the things you agreed to was “Always remember to respect the other members of this board” and some felt that your topic header of “Mask me !@#$%*es; Non Grata is better than you” did not meet this One of our gov contacted you on IRC to explain, and suggested that you could be masked if you changed your wording – which you did. However you then had a discussion with another TTK gov member on IRC where it was decided that the other guys would handle the diplo job. Erwin Schrodinger went on to make 5 more posts on our forum. dane0 (appropriately enough) made 0. The only detail I can’t verify (maybe you can help ) is whether I was still an active diplo on the NG forums at this point. I know I registered there at the start of one of our wars, and settled in for quite a while. I remember a lot of robust fun in the spam and discussion areas All in all an interesting start, representing as it did our culture clash between what you in those IRC chats described as “NG styled humor” and TTK’s theme of knightly honour and respect. However, for all that it was talked through and solutions were proposed and accepted, so there were promising signs.
  8. Quick question, as I do not know your nation histories - anybody actually have experience of living outside an aa for an extended period of time? Philosophising about the pros and cons of alliances to an individual nation is very interesting, but on a practical level does the theory match reality?
  9. Here since 2006. But I've been in TTK all the time, so nobody will know who I am
  10. Hmm. Looking back through the change log it was 9th June 2014 feel free to close this - though perhaps the FAQ should be updated?
  11. In the FAQ it states "The odds of receiving an event drop to 7% after the first event, 3% after two events, and 0% after three events." I currently have 4 active events:
  12. You have to look at what the 'rule-breaking' alliances have/had in common. NPO were huge, and with their treaty web were virtually untouchable. It took an unheard of level of co-operation among pretty much the rest of Planet Bob before they were beaten DBDC are essentially all the top non-neutral nations, and are thus virtually untouchable. Why do/did these guys break the 'rules'? Because they rarely have to suffer the consequences. It is usually easier for the rest of us to just let them get on with it than it is to oppose them and win. Why does everybody else follow the 'rules' - because if an alliance the size of TTK flouted all the rules we'd lose all our friends and be curb-stomped repeatedly until we learnt our lesson. And with the current bloc set-up, there isn't really a clear-cut side which is overwhelmingly superior enough to get away with it. tl;dr - 'Might is Right'
  13. Maybe that is the 'National Draft Situation' - I wonder if your population decreases?
  14. Oh. Bugger. Well that's my strategy being re-thunk :)
  15. As I understand it (and have experienced it in the past) if you launch a GA with 10-15% odds the 'underdog bonus' kicks in, and you will do damage to your opponent's land/tech/infra even though you lose the battle and lose money in abandoned equipment. However I have launched 2 attacks with 12% odds against the same opponent (one yesterday, one today) and this did not happen either time. (I can give battle reports and details of the opponent as necessary)
  16. What would be really interesting is the 'average per war' figures per alliance.
  17. Well, you've successfully summed up about 90% of the IC posts on the OWF. *applauds*
  18. So, uh, we're still here. Still a very welcoming Alliance. Still helping members to grow their nation. Still kicking arse!
  19. Hah! Our chief weapon is surprise! (and so on) Good war so far ODN, always good to be fighting competant and classy opponents
