I'd join in but have done it many times before due to mostly being on the losing side of wars and IRON always conniving their way onto the winning side no matter the gymnastics required to do so. So, farewell NG, I'll enjoy the fireworks of your goodbye tour and seeing the third worst alliance in the Cyberverse burn at the same time.

Again, just my opinion and you are more than welcome to do as you please. However, if you do not believe that the mutual defense treaty is warranted then I question whether any treaty is warranted at all with regards to defense and aggression. Getting to know other alliances can be done in back channels and developing a friendship comes from that. There is no harm in announcing an optional defense-optional aggression treaty but as I said, in my opinion, it is a redundant exercise. Anyway, best of luck to you both. Thank you. I am just occasionally calling in to see what is going on in the Cyberverse. It is certainly a lot quieter these days. As for my fall. I take some consolation in the fact that my fall was via parachute rather than being tossed from the ramparts.

I wasn't judging any alliances at all. Good or bad. Just commenting that it seems a rather redundant exercise to announce an optional defense-optional aggression pact as this, to me, is the default setting between all alliances.

Yes, the great log dump of Sponge's "OOC attack" on Moo that gave the NPO the green light to attack the NpO. Something they and their allies were planning on doing anyway whether this log dump occurred or not. Sponge went AWOL and Random asked me to assist in a semi-legal passing of the crown from Sponge via himself to me to appease the NPO. Unsurprisingly the NPO were not enthused by my appointment so I then appointed Grub as my successor. In all honesty, it was probably my one regret in the game. In hindsight we should have raised the middle finger at the NPO rather than trying to appease them and left Sponge as Emperor, even in absence. NPO and friends were going to roll Polar regardless of who was Emperor and it would have been far more dignifying to go down with middle finger raised than what actually happened.

This is true, Oculus had nothing to do with STA's decision to disband. I'm not sure Lord Hitchcock even implied they did. I took his comment as a general observation rather than an accusation. But, if we are talking of drawing long bows, then I'd say calling the STA or TPF "failed alliances" is drawing a particularly long bow. Both alliances have gone out on their own terms albeit in different ways after the best part of a decade of existence. With regards to my agenda, it appears it was a small clump of cat fur and an empty twinkie wrapper. A great mystery of the Cyberverse solved.

Siberian Tiger Alliance Announcement After over nine years and discussion among our membership it has been decided that the Siberian Tiger Alliance will disband with immediate effect. Our allies at the Orange Defense Network will be protecting the Siberian Tiger Alliance alliance affiliation in perpetuity. I will remain on the alliance affiliation until I am the last nation carrying the alliance affiliation after which I will turn off the lights and close the door on what has been an enjoyable and eventful nine years. I would like to thank all our members over the years who have each contributed to the culture of the alliance. With so many great people having been involved in the alliance over the duration I don't want to name names for fear of forgetting someone important and causing offence. Without the community at the Siberian Tiger Alliance I am sure many of us would have departed the Cyberverse long ago, myself included. So thanks to all of you for your efforts and commitment to the alliance. To our allies over the years from the early days under New Polar Order protection through to the repaired relationship with The Phoenix Federation to today with a single ally remaining, the Orange Defense Network. I'd like to thank all our allies, past and present for making the Cyberverse a more interesting place and for standing by us through thick and thin as we stood by you. I think it was fitting that our final act on the world scene was to go to war one last time to defend an ally against great odds and I am proud that our members, many of whom had a foot out the door of the Cyberverse, rallied together and did the alliance proud once again. I don't recall saying I cared. As for rebuilding, I think I'm able to rebuild and point out nonsense here at the same time.

I don't recall anyone saying they were. But, if people are commenting on the activities of IRON then I would assume they would base those comments on what IRON as an alliance has done rather than what an individual believes should have been done.
