  1. I'm pretty sure there are several threads in the gov archive with multiple people saying they want to roll Umbrella.
  2. Well it's probably one of the milder things said about me in Umbrella.
  3. Is this what passes for a juicy leak these days?
  4. This DoW is second in strangeness to only NPO vs. NpO in this war.
  5. No terms except an unconditional and immediate surrender can be accepted. We propose to move immediately upon their works.
  6. My memory was a bit off on the exact terms, but looking back the tech was required to be sent from nations with over 1000 tech, which would have included a disproportionate number of peaced nations and nations able to send monetary aid. And I know for a fact that a very large portion of the reparations were imposed as an alternative (I vaguely recall at NPO's request?) to forcing the peaced nations to fight.
  7. I'm pretty sure his point was just that this has been a "thing" for a very long time. If he hadn't posted that I might have pointed out that much of the reps for NPO in Karma were directly on and imposed because of NPO's peace mode nations.
  8. I addressed this point here: If the aid component is the biggest issue for you, negotiate towards something that hurts those nations without inhibiting their ability to give out aid post war. In any case the idea that only nations that didn't fight can send out aid post-war is very, very outdated.
  9. Assuming a NS threshold of 50K NS or infra of 5K, this would keep about 40 of your nations in peace mode out of 291. Looking at your total stats, about 200 of your nations have at least some economic wonders and around 150 have close to a full set (excluding the high infra wonders.) Excluding the 40 peace mode nations, you still have at least 100 of your nations that should be able to rebuild quickly. Many of those nations should have enough left over warchest to rebuild themselves and start aiding out immediately. The others, if they are competent, shouldn't take very long to get there. Speaking personally, if it were up to me (it's not) this war would end in grey peace (just an admission of defeat / surrender) across the board. But I think y'all are greatly overstating your case here.
  10. Congrats to Overlord Shinnra! And welcome to (semi)-retirement Os! You've been a good friend and done a lot of good things for ODN. It'll be weird seeing ODN without you at the helm.
  11. It must be Stewie's diabolical influence.
  12. Not that it is mine or any of the OWF's business (though it has naturally piqued my curiosity), but I seriously doubt that NG would just kick someone for the hell of it.
  13. Not surprised by this at all. Your post made me think of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lco9Ki-5qfQ
  14. It seems like right now the major difference between the two sides is not over what the final terms should be (I doubt many expect or want anything other than a grey peace) but in the process used to get there... separate peace for each front or a coalition wide peace. It's a pretty minor difference, but that doesn't mean that it can't hold things up if sticking by their guns on this issue becomes a point of pride for both sides.
  15. Not to mention that a 150K Nation trying to take on a 300K nation will be out of range after a round, while that 300K nation won't be dragged down much at all.
  16. It was. http://www.cybernations.net/game_update_log.asp?theyear=2008
  17. The point is that a standstill over an issue like this hardly indicates that our side is opposed to peace in the near future. In other words, you're right, and the last part about it not being 'elongated indefinite' is important, and probably something that people are going to try to gloss over for propaganda points.
