I'm particularly excited to be making this announcement, as today we happen to turn TWO, count 'em, two years old. Last year, our first birthday was overshadowed by war, so this year, we have even more cause to celebrate. Well, we can actually celebrate this time. And let me tell you, we have a lot to celebrate! Now, the reason a small handful of us broke away from our Ubercon roots so long ago, was simply because we didn't have the same wish for isolation and neutrality. To that end, we wouldn't have ventured so far from those roots without the support of those we call friends and allies. I'd like to thank our steadfast allies for putting up with me almost as long as some of my members have: NOIR in its entirety, Ragnarok, Asgaard, The Shadow Confederacy Empire, Octava Orden, Through Yggdrasil's Roots, Order of the Black Rose, Pax Corvus and Ubercon. And to our protectorates, I also thank them for trusting me to guide them and keep them safe, and to bat for them when things get a bit sticky--Sajasabie, Weveria, United Incorporated Republics, and in the works for this eventful new years day, a promising young leader heading up a new project under the name Forte. You will likely be seeing a more formal announcement regarding that very soon. To those alliances we considered friends but are no longer able to celebrate those ties in their former incarnation, we fondly remember Blackstone Commission and Monos Archien--but we also look forward to a promising continuation of friendship with CSN as a result in the year(s) to come. And finally, as those of you who have already established Embassies with us already know, I have never, nor will I see myself in the foreseeable future begin to clear out embassies for any other reason than disbandment. I'd like to thank those who have reached out to communicate with us in this manner, and invite you to continue to grace us with the presence of your diplomats, even if it has been a while since your last visit. I've had the pleasure of chatting with the Exodus representatives during this situation as they appropriately made the effort to clarify relations between UN and my protectorate, UIR. Given the background information I've been privy to, I can't agree more with the stance Exodus has taken, and I've already made the necessary corrections regarding UIR's previous relations with those crazy UN folks. I just wanted to say cheers and good luck to Exodus, it's been a pleasure working with you guys.

Far as I'm concerned, it is.

I do regret not insisting on being the one to post the initial announcement, simply to avoid the ensuing confusion. Our friends in Sajasabie deserve to set the record straight, as no one here would appreciate their own good name being dragged through the mud, either. The credit for the peaceful resolution goes to BEazy, as without his own willingness to compromise on behalf of his own protectorate, the end might have been somewhat different. Thanks again, OTS, and cheers, my bloodthirsty little Sajasabie.

I've seen the general favor leaning toward the nuclear rogue, for whatever reason. That's all fine, I have no love or hate for either side--or any great knowledge of either, for that matter. Sajasabie enters into this of their own free will, but rest assured, while RED appears to have no allies or protectors willing to step in on their behalf, Sajasabie is still under the protection of the Amazon Nation. In such capacity, I will be happy to assist in any negotiations for the cessation of hostilities if the need or opportunity presents itself. Cheers!

I've been getting closer and closer to writing off TE completely, myself. If there's no viable option for the underdog than to turtle, it's not very likely that the player is going to want to come back after having to turtle for days. I've been on both sides of the underdog attack in the many rounds I've stuck around. When I was not the underdog, I expected to take that damage and was glad when it happened--it meant my opponent was still engaged and plotting. When I was the underdog, it kept me logging in to take that chance to do a little damage on my way down. Having the ability to pull off those attacks is the only reason to even keep trying. Without it, there's absolutely no consequence at all for picking a target less able to fight back, and I'd hope that we could see the ability reinstated. I hate to say especially in SE, as I'd prefer its return to both, but there's a lot more time and effort to lose in SE, naturally. That's the venue I worry about more, as I've put quite a bit of time, effort and cash into it, and have built a reputation for being willing to fight tooth and nail to the bitter end if necessary--not to get to a certain point and just stop trying. If these wars turn into a simple matter of trouncing a target without having to worry about sucking up a little damage in the process (there's enough of that anyway, regardless of the underdog attack), more will simply stop wasting their time, and poof without so much as voicing a complaint.
