1. Hi, Evilone. My name is BringMeTheHorizon, and riot Society, which I lead, had the same amount of tech deals as WFF going on when you attacked them. You, nor anyone in Fark has come to me asking Riot Society to stop sending aid, or doing tech deals to DT. We currently have more tech deals going on with DT, have not stopped, because no one has come to ask us to stop. I await your response so I know that I am not imaginary, Would make me feel better about myself knowing i'm not invisible nor are my posts calling you out as a liar. A member of the Confederation of International States was doing four tech deals himself when you declared war on WFF, and you did go to them, and I can get the logs if you'd wish, where he said he was going to keep tech dealing with DT because they were his deals to finish, and that there was no reason for him to stop; or something around those lines (i mean it was three weeks ago). So I hope this clears up any confusion on your part to why Fark has been lying since page one.
2. In real life I would never go to someones house, break in, steal a phone or a tv, then walk out after they saw me. In this game I (used to) raid all the time, as an extra means of tech/land/money. Articulate enough? How are you different from your OCC to your IC persona? There is a line we can't really see when we have a nation that is an extension of ourselves. If we run it how we want to then how can we ever say we are Rping. Unless the ruler name, and nation name are used to play a different character that the person can actually disseminate between themselves, and the character we will never have true RP in this world. It will always be a divide between IC/OCC that we see. Actually I think irc/skype/facebook is the problem for the game, and how the game was played. Sure it made things faster, but it also makes it a little too close to the real word as Instant Messaging/Texts. How I post on forums, and other written platforms that need to be posted is a lot different than irc, or skype. It creates, and fosters friendships based on your real world self. If you start talking about hey I just played this game, or I want this game, any suggestions? Oh the weather here in New Jersey sucks, very cold. It takes away from you talking about, we were raided, attacked, or finding trade circles. It's like texting a friend IRL. Skype is just as worse, I use my full real name on skype, because I also use it to talk to family members states away. I also have three friends on facebook from this game, that i've meet in real life, it's nice to keep up with them. Though if I ever needed I could still attack them, which I feel like i'm one of the few from the masses that can put aside real world friendships over a game. At least on the CN Forums you can be warned for bringing stuff up that relates to the real world, which is great. But unless that follows over to irc (self imposed or alliance culture imposed) we will keep losing the IC divide. I mean even here we have a section where we can post what we're listening to etcetc, and on alliance forums it's more informal, and there are large portions dedicated to Spam, and real world activities. Then aa's want to get people on irc for better communication, which leads to getting to know people. We live in a world where instant communication, and our personal lives are always on show (at least younger generations, and slightly older generations) where we're ok with letting other people know we're doing. It's a culture as society that we have that makes it ok to show our personal life, and to get to know people over electronic communications. Why should CN/IRC/Forums be any different just because we have a username? If we are to truly think of ourselves as leading a nation, and doing what's best for our nation/alliance, we can't also have a huge real world culture brewing on our forums, or lines of communication. Until that happens, which it never will, we keep having this divide between players.
3. I think, again, you're taking me/this way to serious. I'm not even trying to debate you, on anything. You can try to "stoop down" to my level, or what have you, especially when I just came here to say that it seems you're taking this way to seriously, more so than the other three you are currently "debating". The best/worst threads will always be subjective, even at it's heart in a rational debate. Once it delved into something not a serious "debate" on both sides, you continued to try to prove your point why \m/ was a horrible alliance, the others stopped trying to prove that it wasn't. That's when it became about you being too serious, and being upset et al. It just comes off that way when you continue to take something serious, and they stopped. It's like what I do to my gun totting red neck friends about gay loving liberals trying to take their guns. If I start having a decent debate on gun control, then once it becomes futile, I just say things to keep them going. This is what I see happening here. You can keep saying or nah, bro, it's cool i'm just joking I ain't mad, nope. Doesn't make it any less, to me at least, that you were trying to hard, and they were just posting to keep you going. But I digress, I doubt you'll get it.
4. I only find it funny because you're still taking this as a serious debate, I don't think you're bored or annoyed. It's obvious that maybe they once took it serious but that stopped some time ago, which they moved on to just messing with you to keep you posting.
5. You're getting played with, and toyed with. It's p. funny. Maybe you know this, maybe you don't, all I know is that it's pretty damn funny.
6. I actually think it wouldn't lead to what your advocating, and has lead to what it would lead to now. This is a game, and I think most people know this, so even when we RP anything remotely close to an RP, in the back of our heads is "this is a game". In any game you can run forward start shooting, die then respawn. IE go nuke rogue go to ZI, then come back up again. If people say this as real life, or an extension of themselves (then we wouldn't really be RPing) then maybe we can have something like what you are saying. But then... Even if we Rp'd on a set of real world beliefs; I'm an anti-gun, liberal, who is accepting to subcultures of varying views. Even if I RP in CN what I believe in real life, do I stay away from FAN? Do I stay away from small government AA's with only a few installed (non-elected) governments? Or do I accept them, as I accept others in real life? We are all taught to be accepting in real life, or most of us are. Unless you are to completely suspend what you believe in real life to be acceptable just to RP a game, it doesn't really work what you want to see. Because if that was the case none of my friends would own guns, non of my friends would be conservative, and none of my friends would have disdain for subcultures. That is not true at all. My friends fall on the scale from communists, to new-age hippies, to gun totting wanna-be red necks. Even if I RP'd with an ideal to be an idealist that I follow closely, such as tech raiding, or freedom of choice / freedom over your nation to do what you want. So that means tech raid if you want, but what if we become friends, as well as share the same path/situation in the game do I say no i'm sorry you have your nations offer peace after every GA. Just because someone doesn't follow a strict moral, idealist guide line that my AA was founded upon doesn't mean I shouldn't interact or ally them. Which in turn doesn't bring down the level of discourse, politics, or game play. It's just simply not attainable to have something like that in this game, to have absolute moral, and ideal set guidelines for you to RP. Or even loose morals/ideals to RP. Or no morals to RP. I have a question. In your example of speech. Would you ever talk to, look at, help, or hold open a door for a person from that country that disallowed free speech? What if you were talking to them one day because you bumped into them on the subway, train, or store; then found out that they were from that country. Would you be like 'or nah', and walk away from them forever once you became friends? What if that happened on irc, or a forum. That when you were a diplomat sent over to a random AA's forum, and started making friendships not really looking into their ideals, morals, or out look in the game/life. Then what if you became FA gov, then high gov. Would you suspend those friendships you made before you knew what they were all about? Or would you look past that, and say hey I like you, you are good people, let's defend each other should someone come attack you. Even if it's over you having gag orders on the OWF.
7. You have a decent idea, which many AA's used to do. Though I think it falls flat especially when we don't all have the same definition of role-play. Are we supposed to RP like all the folks do in the sub-sections of these forums? Or are we simply RPing by default once we make a nation? What's the difference from RPing yourself in a cyber game, or RPing some fictional character. Even if we take the definition of role-play, albeit searched on google, "participation in a role-playing game.". Aren't we, as i've always felt, automatically RPing as soon as we make a nation? I'd like to think that i'm not alone in saying i've never played another "RP" game except cybernations, so how can we expect people who don't RP to RP at someone else's definition. Also, while we're at it, does aligning yourself (if you don't tech raid) with all those who don't tech raid make your alliance more secure or less secure? Just because you have morals, doesn't mean you can't, or don't have to ally yourself to someone who doesn't share the same morals. As long as you are keeping your alliance safe, secure, and growing; is that really wrong?
8. As Sarkin has pointed out, Riot Society are doing tech deals with DT (odd but I digress), and I have not been approached to stop, cease, or discontinue said deals, we also have a tech deal with Umbrella. Fark can sit here, and say that they've gone to people tech dealing with DT (albeit we only have maybe 2 deals with them) but I've yet to hear from them. I only know one other AA who was approached by Fark, and they told them to shove it that they were going to keep dealing with DT, yet they weren't attacked, So from my own dealings with another AA who was approached, said fuck off, who actually has nations 50k+ ranges, and nukes; were not attacked. I was not approached about our deals with DT, maybe not as many as WFF, but still on the opposite side of Fark. This is just very silly for Fark to continue to claim anything else other than we targeted them because they were weak, and wouldn't fight back. Which I don't have a problem with it, but don't hide behind saying you've talked to others, and the others have said they'd stop, when that's simply not true.
9. Since when has respect, and not knowing the facts stopped the majority of the people here from posting, on any topic?
10. Not that it'll ever matter, but Riot is Aqua.
11. It's actually if I click any link on-game.
12. every time o try to click message while on my phone I get. No matter if I click open my messages. Or go to another nation and click message. lemode-mgz.com/sc/gm722-2310/special-report.html?voluumdata=vid..00000005-b5a2-4bdf-8000-000000000000__vpid..db2b3000-984a-11e4-89cf-f42b254979c6__caid..421c6fa2-56dc-4806-b48a-6b536e9f021f__lid..24bb0db4-e6fd-4742-9d58-2c48118090fe__rt..R__oid1..2442d6b4-fafa-4d60-94ec-f51682a627dd__oid2..df4cad13-52ea-4672-b3cb-f9a20f42ec87__var1..adwynne__var2..us__var3..1__var4..728-90__var5..1420842291282__var6..http%3A%2F%2Fgoogleads%5C.%5Cg%5C.%5Cdoubleclick%5C.%5Cnet%2Fpagead%2Fads%3Fclient%3Dca-pub-9338475562447655%26output%3Dhtml%26h%3D90%26slotname%3D4142116991%26adk%3D1985403348%26w%3D728%26lmt%3D1420860290%26flash%3D0%26url%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww%5C.%5Ccybernations%5C.%5Cnet%2Finbox%5C.%5Casp%26dt%3D1420842290638%26bpp%3D18%26shv%3Dr20150106%26cbv%3Dr20141212%26saldr%3Dsa%26correlator%3D769000652801%26frm%3D20%26ga%5C_%5Cvid%3D644949683%5C.%5C1414860755%26ga%5C_%5Csid%3D1420842135%26ga%5C_%5Chid%3D142267845%26ga%5C_%5Cfc%3D1%26u%5C_%5Ctz%3D-300%26u%5C_%5Chis%3D28%26u%5C_%5Cjava%3D0%26u%5C_%5Ch%3D736%26u%5C_%5Cw%3D414%26u%5C_%5Cah%3D716%26u%5C_%5Caw%3D414%26u%5C_%5Ccd%3D32%26u%5C_%5Cnplug%3D1%26u%5C_%5Cnmime%3D34%26dff%3Dverdana%26dfs%3D11%26adx%3D126%26ady%3D2714%26biw%3D980%26bih%3D1591%26eid%3D317150304%26oid%3D3%26ref%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww%5C.%5Ccybernations%5C.%5Cnet%2Flogin%5C.%5Casp%26rx%3D0%26eae%3D0%26fc%3D8%26brdim%3D0%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C414%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C980%2C1591%26vis%3D1%26abl%3DCS%26ppjl%3Du%26srr%3D1%26fu%3D0%26bc%3D1%26ifi%3D1%26xpc%3DpbBo0YOUru%26p%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww%5C.%5Ccybernations%5C.%5Cnet%26dtd%3D217&account=adwynne&campaign=us&adgroup=1&banner=728-90&it=1420842291282&refurl=http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-9338475562447655&output=html&h=90&slotname=4142116991&adk=1985403348&w=728&lmt=1420860290&flash=0&url=http://www.cybernations.net/inbox.asp&dt=1420842290638&bpp=18&shv=r20150106&cbv=r20141212&saldr=sa&correlator=769000652801&frm=20&ga_vid=644949683.1414860755&ga_sid=1420842135&ga_hid=142267845&ga_fc=1&u_tz=-300&u_his=28&u_java=0&u_h=736&u_w=414&u_ah=716&u_aw=414&u_cd=32&u_nplug=1&u_nmime=34&dff=verdana&dfs=11&adx=126&ady=2714&biw=980&bih=1591&eid=317150304&oid=3&ref=http://www.cybernations.net/login.asp&rx=0&eae=0&fc=8&brdim=0,0,0,0,414,0,0,0,980,1591&vis=1&abl=CS&ppjl=u&srr=1&fu=0&bc=1&ifi=1&xpc=pbBo0YOUru&p=http://www.cybernations.net&dtd=217
13. Creating a tech buyers paradise right now, a ton of sellers coming in. Join us, and come get in on it.
14. Are we all required to be relevant to know someone was hasn't played the game for five years then comes back asking if anyone missed him? More than likely there is a whole new generation that has never heard of him, nor care to know who he is. It's just an old player returning, who was seeking attention by asking on the forums if anyone missed him who has been gone for five years, and assumes anyone cares that he is back.
15. We are looking for a replacement nation for a trade circle on aqua, that's Fast Food, Beer, and Construction; with Fish, and Uranium. Must be allowed to change resources. Please, message me in-game here.
16. Why would GPA nations even run GA's, it's useless. It doesn't benefit them at all. Why give him more land/tech to be nuked away. If you Just sit at 0 soldiers, run Air, CMs, and Nukes, you'll damage his land, and tech without him gaining anything. Even if they are 13 days+ trying to run GA's really does nothing to help GPA. Having three people declare once a day in succession and running everything besides GA's will be great for GPA to do. Keep him in anarchy, cycle people in, and out. Drain his nukes so he can't attack you, because he can't GA you if you have no soldiers you even mitigate damage that way.
17. You can continue with TCSS as the already changed the name, so it's not like they have it anymore. I think everyone who left, or was forced out would want their name, and home back.
18. Did chow win? Also, from what ti looks like is a merger into Sandstorm Confederacy?
19. Don't care about your other stats, but it should be noted that CSS isn't really in the war, they're "attacking" DBDC because chow, and company raided them, then moved to the DBDC AA (in my view, to get away from people hitting them in turn for raiding CSS) so CSS declared on them while on the CSS in defence of their raids that have been going on for months, prior to this war. So, I don't think they should be included in this war, but then again, I guess you can include them in the worst military, but when you're getting nuked by nations in the 15k range, and you have no nukes, for months, the numbers will be skewed. Though using the same Atlas excuse that nations with wonders, and nukes at the low tiers that were beaten down shouldn't count against them does well for CSS too. So if we say CSS is doing the worst, using the Atlas theory of military, they aren't.
20. I'm not sure what is really false. Riot didn't even nuke Guinness it was over before Nukes could even be used. They also lost half of their membership/gov a few hours before the war. Though but do you really expect someone with no nukes to do fairly well when they can't even pick, and choose their targets? Atlas has so many more positives this war than Guinness was ever able to have, but I digress. Maybe in exact pure numbers it;s skewed for Guinness, because we quaded what was left, and had peace the next day, or couldn't attack because they turtled, or were too inactive to hit back. NSF, from my two wars with them, despite nuke coverage actually tried, and were declaring on Riot the first time, and the second time they just attacked LT, and I believe they have a better damage ration than Atlas has on Invicta. But I digress, as I said in my original post you aren't the worst military, you're just doing the worst this year. The two are vastly different, but can be construed to mean the same. They tell a good portion of the story, it shows that you are doing vastly worse on a winning side. Doing slightly better than those on the losing side. As I said all along, you don't have the worst military of 2014, you actually had people on at update, can declare on people, do some damage, you have a half-way decent MoD etcetc It just irks me that you're using excuses to make your point. When every AA has excuses, it's easy to make excuses. Franz, and Kiloist actually tried to address problems, even Kiloist is saying they knew they were going to do horrible, and so did Franz. I just feel that you're better than excuses, and wanted to push you to see that it's not up for us to change your mind, it's up to you to change our minds, not by using excuses, and reasons why. I don't want to beat a dead horse, but every AA has excuses, when you remove said excuses, you have the pure numbers, as Doch showed. First point, just look how far MHA has gone, and lasted. Having the worst military doesn't mean you'll fail. Just having people on an AA performing badly in war doesn't mean you'll crumble. As long as you keep trying, there is no crumbling because people fight badly. I mean NSF lasted over a year? I actually like you, and you know that. So your last point doesn't really hold water for me harping on Atlas doing the worst in 2014, not that they have the worst military. Not that people can tell the difference around here.
