Each war has significantly altered the political setting of its time and influenced succeeding wars, and there is no clear distinction as to which one is the most prevalent. However I might make the somewhat abstract point that the defeat of Pacifica during GWI (deal with it, Vladimir) inspired a sort of subconscious rage which led it as a whole to commit the acts of the last 3 years. But this is just a suggestion; by no means is it my opinion.

NADC, Vox, Cult of Justitia. I choose not to include the few micro-alliances I joined when I began playing in June 2006. Although I remember briefly carrying the 'Cross-X Alliance' AA, most were nothing-alliances I was too noob to know any better.

I like to think my moral compass is in particularly good nick. It always has been, if I do say so myself. This is why I rarely back down once I have made up my mind on a particular issue. Whilst I do not believe that the ends always justify the means, I have concluded that in this case, they do. Most of you were quick to decry Vox and spent most of our existence denouncing us and our methods. However this mindset seems to have changed with the advent of Karma, which would indicate that Vox's methods have gained at least some kind of acceptance from the establishment. I would like to say that if this community is moving towards a post-Pacifican political structure, then those who fought for it, those who supported it from the beginning, and those who risked everything for it, should be congratulated and respected by those who have recently picked up the sword. Leave Francesca alone. She did what she thought and knew to be right, and actions like hers are what have saved this game from the 'Pax Pacifica'.

Fran, it sucks that I'm getting to this just now, when it's already ten pages deep. Though I already knew most of this, it was interetsing for me to read your experiences summarised. Regarding Pacifica, the current loss of NS hardly offers enough satisfaction for two years of tyranny, aggression, immorality and humiliation. But I have decided to put my qualms with Pacifica in a tightly sealed box buried deep within my mind, in order that we might all have a fresh start. God knows, that is exactly what I have been craving. But I remain first and foremost a member of Vox Populi who has witnessed first hand the horrors of Hegemony. That box will remain dormant, but not dead; should it ever be needed again. For Pacifica or any other. Mark my words: We broke the ice by creating the first resistance movement. Few of us will be so slow to create the next.

No surprises here. The nullification of this treaty officially opens the door to a new era in this game's history. This is the event I have been waiting for.
