Dude i think we are looking at this the wrong way. We are thinking this is a serious thread for PR purposes. Thats just doesnt fit the picture. No one would ever think the lame PR work and faulty logic would bear any fruits, unless of course thats not the point. I think with no treaties NPO have been getting lonely and starting bad PR threads is just the only way they can get some attention and interaction from the outside world. See now that makes much more sense. They are just acting out. Perfectly understandable.

Since you mentioned Gre on several occasions i have to add that our perception of morality and the NPO (the pre-karma one) is much more multifaceted than you described. The image of Gre as "moral" crusaders is not very applicable to our current format. In certain aspects we are much more principled but not in the sense many think. In many other aspects we are very nonchalant. Overall however, we are somewhat outside the box of general moral perceptions common to this verse of ours and we dont "convince ourselves" of a certain path for the sake of [ooc]in game[/ooc] political reasons. As for the concept of morality id say Delta explained if very coherently. In the case of Planet Bob its a more or less artificial construct of precedents and imposed rules. Some people dont care for it and are here for the "lulz" while others step in and out of it (part of the convince self process i guess) depending on their perceived needs. Thus you have the conflict between those that just want to just have fun and those that want to have fun within the PB moral framework (i.e. wars are fun but we have to start them for a fake-valid reason so we are at least playing by some rules). P.S. Id have to add that in historical terms those more committed to the system usually are winners because they take the whole thing much more seriously and tend to view and organize in a more long term manner while the "lulz" groups tend to loose coalescence because at some point supporting their system becomes effort intensive enough to mitigate the benefits of the lulz. P.S.S. What a lot of the so called anti-moralists dont realize is that they can come here and cry about it only because there is a structure within which and against which to do it. Without the moral construct this world would be very much like its amorphous term based brother. The whole "moralists" tag is just a lame [ooc]Glenn Beckesque[/ooc] PR tool along with the analogous cry of "oh they are trying to take away our freedoms" (of starting random wars for fun, raiding whoever we want and doing whatever we want). Not to be a d*^k here but i have a small question. You say the community's standards are 20-15-10 man AAs for allowed tech raids. But you raid a 40 man AA (i know you guys said it was a mistake but never on the issue of the size). So in theory you didnt respect the community standards. Yet you are here holding community standards as basis for protecting Jack. I mean if you had said screw you all we do what we want cuz its our right to do it, id be fine with that. But im not getting the part where you take a dump on "community standards" one day and embrace them the next. Or am i not interpreting the situation correctly?

I wouldnt say its that clear cut. I am sure if it was just up to TOP they would have gladly sent the rest of what was agreed on but we both know the situation was not so. Some things just cant be black and white when you view them from the different points of view. In general though this outcome was the best one I could forsee given the positions of the two sides.

I am very glad to see this come to a reasonable end. I cant say the same about certain things I am seeing in this thread.

Indeed it was. Started as an IRC channel with Mike, Me and Roq or Xavii form Umbrella i think and it gradually expanded. We were getting together to see how things would break down if VE got hit.
