Return of the Reich

*Private to the Reich*

You have a considerable amount of land, which we think is enough. What do you say to a non-aggression pact?

Private reply:

No. We would gladly give away our Mexican holdings for our true homeland, the Greater Reich.

Private message to Viniland:

Our moves are calculated and are thoughtful, but we rely on your position for our next. We are unsure of where you lie now. We do humbly value your status as a former ally and we are still saddened to see this conflict between us, but we cannot simply give up our claims to our Greater Reich.

Private reply to the Reich:

Given the Reich has been granted a wholly new territory already, we see no reasonable means to solve the dispute other than a war-less solution - that is, either a diplomatic settlement between both claimants (yourselves and the Commonwealth) or a monitored plebiscite. We warn that in case an invasion re-occurs, we shall intervene in the Commonwealth's favor.

Private Reply:

While we are grateful for our new land, it is not the ones we desire. If we had our Greater Reich, we would denounce our lands in Mexico. But it is good to know Viniland's current stance.

Private:

Such a shame. We were hoping that we could achieve some peace in Texas to hold the election.

Private:

Democracy fails and brings failure with it. We do not believe in such a system.

"We believe that you are confusing the head of state with the head of government. More proof that News 8 cannot even get the facts right."

**News Channel 8 at Night**

"Reports from Disparu now say that the head of state and head of government were actually worked for the same pimp, who is now a Disparu legislator. Many are now suspecting bias..."

"Unbiased, my $@!," replied the head of the DUNES network. "That is pure fabrication. The only thing preventing us from suing this channel for being an embarrassment to the media community is that there is no international law covering these situations."

--------

The pipe and the marijuana was stopped at the border, and returned to the sender without reaching the intended recipient.

"We are sorry, but this drug is illegal in Promised Land."

Attached was a note informing the sender that they were being fined £10,000 for attempting to get an illegal substance through customs.

OOC: Take THAT! :P

Also, thanks for relieving some of the tension in this thread. :lol1:

"Mr. Christian, you have a fine from Promised Land," Alexandr's secretary said, handing him the note. Alexandr read it and dug into his pockets for change.

"Let's see...that would equal... £10,000.24. Send it to their authorities and tell them they owe me £.24 in change."

OOC: :P

OOC: Possibly, but the basics of Cold War-era RL should be present on Planet Bob as well, as a basis to build a nation on. And among those would be commonly accepted laws as well... If Drakoria has a law against it they're 'sueable' for it

OOC: No such law. Work out a deal on your own to make the news channel shut up. :P You can try to sue, but the judge would laugh, and the channel would do a counter-suit for attempting to block a constitutional right.

OOC: Hmm...good point (though it's Caucasia now, not Drakoria ;)). I'll wait for Drake to log back on and tell us if he has such a law.

No more OOC from me in this thread, or at least I'll try to make this the last one.

We all know it won't be the last. :P

OOC: Ah i see, didn't know he changed his nation name. Though it'd explain the Caucasian comment, i thought you were talking about actual caucasians (as in skin tone) rather than Drake's population

Last OOC from me also btw.

*facepalm*

I knew someone would eventually confuse the name. <_<

Ok, well how about a truce? No, there's not a war between us yet, but we think it's a good idea to try to aim for peace right now.

Private:

A state of war existed between the Commonwealth and the Confederacy, seeing as the Union has now taken place, the state of war is between us now. We will not sign a truce.

OOC: A war that could remain open forever

OOC: Oh good god, I'm not leaving a full division and a half in Texas forever, North Korea. :(

Message to the FRA

Consider our nations in a state of war then.

All that was returned was the following sentence, and an abrupt silence of communique to the Confederacy:

You will change your mind when the streets of your cities run red with hot sauce and blood, fiends.

The DE begins to mail propaganda fliers in bulk to Texas' allies and to post them all over their own states... they look kinda like this:

OOC: :awesome:

IC:

Indeed, the propaganda fliers were received and is set to be distributed throughout New England to bolster and strengthen support for the Commonwealth of Texas.

"After much careful delibration Sandra Klein the leader of Helzan has decided to place its support behind Tahoe. We apologise to the Dragon Empire, Texas and its allies but they have maintained a sense of stability in Northern America for quite some time now and we will thus support them in their actions with all our support that we can spare".

"Apparently the Channel 8 News Network is on some kind of drugs if they believe the things they are spouting. What we ant to know is...where can we get some?"

"It's been done before. There is precedent. But we have already stated we are not going to, sho why the need to defend such a slanderous station if they are protected from lawsutit?"

"We are not obligated to return anything over the original fine you send us."

A copy of the relevant tax laws was sent back along with the note.

"This issue is not about the dragons, it is about one STABLE government being threatened by another. We only supported you because the Islands of Ice was an unstable regime."
