Peter Ilyich
So while I was thinking about Uberstein's idea on the lower tech, I though why not go even lower tech on yet another RP? I mean, not we have 2 rp's for modern/future, 1 for past, so why not make another one from the past? Medieval times is what I am thinking. Set it around 1492-1500 tech so that it is right after Columbus discovered the Americas/West Indies. We still have swords, sheilds, etc. Empires. British, Ottoman, Roman, we can have empires like that rather than republics(Yes, you may have a republic if it pleases you, I personally do not think about republic when i think "Empire"). Kingdoms as well. I guess you could say that this will start within a week(ish) if we rally enough people. I will post "pre-claims" here if you are feeling like saving a specific area although I will not post mine or anyone elses until the end of the day today 'cause i got stuff to do. Note: Please do not go phsycopathic on your land claim(Like, depending on your location, no larger than the USA at first) Edited September 15, 2014 by Ferdinand Foch

Triyun
The argument I've always made is that before the age of steam, telegraph, and railroad, it was so hard to get places RPs don't really work, because people in different geographic regions are isolated by months or years of transportation, it makes an interactive game onerous if not impossible. Peter Ilyich
How about a Jurassic period one? I would be the T-Rex nation. Not sure if you are joking, but i actually considered doing a Pangea-Style with Neanderthals. The only issue was i could not find any good maps of Pangea that would work as well as the Q-Bam. Peter Ilyich
Ok, if you are in for this RP taking place in 400AD, you may reserve your claim and i will post Map thread if we get enough people. By enough i mean like more than 5 or 6. Edited September 16, 2014 by Ferdinand Foch
Peter Ilyich
Ok people. F.Y.I, What do we think about the time being between 1815 to 1835? Directly after the War of 1812 I believe is appropriate. If so you can make claims and I will post them in the OP for reference. A world map thread will arise once we have enough people and GM's will be elected. We may use an adapted version of the point system in CNRP40. This is my final pitch at this idea so if it does not work out this thread will fall into the depths.
