Foundation of the Republic of Merida

Recommended Posts

The Malay Federation is aghast at the anglicization of the Malay peninsular, we find the trampling of Malay culture to be abhorrent and refuse to recognize the Republicof Merida until Malay language and culture are protected and nurtured by the Meridan government.

While no one can accuse us of favoring the Europeanization of Asia, I think we should wait and see about the degree to which they have retained their culture. With the large amount of English speaking nations in North America as well as Scotland it may be to the benefit of Asia to have a English speaking nation in economic matters so long as they have not forsaken their Malay roots and may speak that language as well. We also hope that the significant Chinese population in Singapore remains in tact.

The Isara Alliance is run by much the same type of government, and there is nothing wrong with it.
We welcome the Republic of Merida, and welcome your government to establish an embassy. May our relations always be favourable.

"By Anglicisation, we mean who there are many more Anglos within Peninsular Malaysia than before. We still have a substantial Malay and Chinese population, although Singapore is empty at the moment and off-limits to civilians."

What exactly do you mean Singapore is empty at the moment?
[/quote]

Following a nuclear reactor accident, Singapore had been heavily depopulated. The island has never been fully populated since, and Merida does not intend to have it filled with people for the time being.

Koryo condemns the Malay Federation for instinctively thinking a country is racist against the natives. We recognize your wish for reclaiming lost land, but know what the other side is like before saying anything.

Koryo offers Merida its protection against the Malay Federation.

Nowhere was there any threat to Merida from the Malay Federation, nor did they state Merida was racist against the natives. Your offer for protection is quite unneeded, and nowhere was it implied that the Malay Federation plans to conquer Merida, as you imply.

Japan advises Koryo not to involve itself in cultural conflicts. Allow the nations in particular to sort it out themselves.

...nowhere was it stated that the Federation planned to invade Merida there. And we mirror Japan's statement.

While Merida thanks Koryo for its offer, the government cannot accept it. We will try to settle any disputes with Malay Federation through discussions.

"What is your form of government? Is it possible, or even likely, for people who are not military officesrs to rise to the leadership position?"
