OOC: Go ahead... be ready to RP with me a long and drawn out guerrila warfare suppression campaign. I won't summarily stop your RP in a single post.

EDIT: Ok, imma stop derailing now.

OOC: Can you people not read for godsake? Macarthur broke an important rule of RP'ing in a territory of an existing nation without its permission, therefore he did not exist, therefore the territory is still Mudd's therefore Mudd can claim the leaders as children playing paintball and created a paintball army since his territory. Its no god-mod. Read the rules before you post next time.

Map showing the progress of Tahoan forces so far. Most targets have been bypassed in favor of moving to eliminate the three major enemy troop concentrations, shown as black squares on the map. The first is 1,500 insurgents in Albequerque who are ruling that city, devastated by civil war, as the Commune of Albequerque, a radical anarcho-communist commune. Murder, rape and looting are common and the "Revolutionary Guard" as they are known are equipped with stolen equipment from government armories. The second group is an alliance of drug dealers in western New Mexico numbering a little over 3,000 gunmen, also equipped with modern weapons bought with their large amounts of money earned through selling drugs throughout the eastern North America.

Finally are the remains of the government in Santa Fe, with about 3,000 soldiers and police and about 11,000 militia. Two regiments of paratroopers have been dropped to the northwest and southeast of the city to prevent about 6,000 militia and 400 regular soldiers from linking up with the main body of troops in the city itself.

OOC: There were no 'private' nor 'classified' tags on that post, and you spoke in a way that was for your state, which means to every person in existence that you are making a statement for your nation. What national leader thinks in a third-person formal fashion for his nation?

OOC: He specifically STATED there was no statement.

IC: While the Greco-Soviet States would normally applaud the destruction of individuals and groups described as such by the nation of Tahoe, they were careful to say nothing as one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist. Treason and revolution were merely two sides of the same coin and given their recent strong statements about Proccintia, it could very well be that these capitalist pigs were seeking to enslave the working masses for their wallowing verocious appetite for wealth. But right now, there was no such evidence, nor even an official responce from the said nation, so they would leave let alone be and focus on matters closer to Europe... which was more then enough of a mess.

OOC: This. While I wouldn't have worded it as strongly, I can see why he'd be frustrated...

IC: "It is the right of every nation to prevent the spread of disorder and anarchy wherever it is capable of doing so, especially when it threatenes their own safety and security."

Ramon Gonzalez stood on one of the watchtowers overlooking the yard of the New Mexico Penitentiary. The collapse of the government had caused most jails around the state to be broken open and inmates freed, but here the guards had gotten together and decided that the inmates were simply to dangerous to let go. Besides, the provisional government in Santa Fe desperately needed to gain legitimacy with the people, and refusing to let dangerous convicts free was one of the only ways that would happen. So for the past six months Ramon and his comrades guarded the jail. The recent invasion didn't change anything, although a company of 150 or so militia were deployed to help secure the prison.

It was a cold morning in the high desert, a little over 35 degrees, when Ramon heard the low thrum of helicopter engines. Straining his eyes, he spotted a small dust cloud moving in his direction. Grabbing binoculars, he spotted the dozen or so helicopters escorting a large convoy of trucks. A man stood up beside him. Captain Richardson, New Mexico State Volunteer Militia. A tough old man, probably former military thought Ramon, he had orders to keep anybody from getting into the prison, just as the prison guards were to keep anyone from getting out.

"Will you fight?" asked Ramon

"Against that?" replied Capt. Richardson "We cannot hope to hold out for long. But yes, we will fight. We have to fight."

Behind him alarms started to sound, and Ramon knew guards and militia alike were running to their posts, focused on the few machine guns mounted on the prison walls, the antiquated 75 mm anti tank in its bunker outside the walls and the light anti-aircraft gun on the roof.

Suddenly the tower was rocked by a huge explosion. Capt. Richardson let out a frustrated grunt, "Predator drone just took out our anti tank gun" he said, pointing to a metallic glint in the cold blue sky, "They probably won't shoot at the prison directly, won't want to let the prisoners go."

"Maybe they just want to kill us all." mused a very startled and suddenly very scared Ramon.

Capt. Richardson laughed. "Ninety percent of the prisoners in this prison committed crimes that would get an automatic death sentence in Tahoe...I would be very scared if I were them." He stepped back from the railing, reaching for his rifle. "Well, if you boys are going to stay and fight, better get to it. Otherwise I'd get out of here if I were you."

The sound of small arms fire slowly began to pick up as militiamen and prison guards (most had stayed apparently) began shooting at the advancing Tahoan column. Richardson shook his head at the waste of ammunition...small arms would never pierce the armored skin of the two dozen or so IFVs approaching the prison. A few were variants with 105mm cannon turrets instead of the standard 40mm autocannon. Those few began firing at the watchtowers, systematically blasting them all into burning stumps. A few RPGs lanced out from the walls, all failing to do very much damage to the advanced frontal armor of the vehicles, but prompting them to set off smoke grenades to cover their advance. Richardson knew infantry would be spilling out of the backs of the IFVs, and their advance would be covered by smoke and the overwhelming firepower of the armored vehicles and attack helicopters that were circling the prison. He suddenly noticed gunfire behind him. Helicopters were dropping off troops on the roofs of the prison buildings! Shouting, Richardson gathered a few men, including a bleeding Ramon carrying a shotgun, and began moving across the prison yard, now strewn with rubble, and made his way into cell block 4. Prisoners were screaming for help through the smoke, they probably thought the building was on fire. Maybe it was. There was nothing Richardson could do for them, even if he cared. Making their way up to the third floor, Richardson saw that numerous holes had been punched in the outer walls of the prison and now Tahoan soldiers and armored vehicles were pushing into the yard itself.

He saw some dark figures through the fog running in the opposite direction. Drawing his rifle to his shoulder, he squeezed off a few bursts. Two of the dark shapes dropped. The hallway suddenly got quiet. The fight was essentially over in the prison yard. Suddenly there was a massive noise and bright flash of light right in front of his eyes. He couldn't hear or see anything. Flashbang! he thought. Then he panicked, soldiers...and death...would be following. He struggled to pick up his rifle and blindly began firing in the direction he had earlier. Ears ringing, he thought he heard screaming, but that might just be his imagination. Suddenly, he felt like he had been punched in the chest. The whiteness filling his vision slowly turned black, and he struggled to remain conscious........

"Prison secured sir." the voice of a colonel cackled over the radio. "100 enemy killed, about 50 wounded, 60 or so unharmed but taken prisoner. We lost eight killed, two dozen or so wounded. All the prisoners have been accounted for."

"Acceptable. Begin the elimination of prisoners."

"Yes, sir."

Tahoan soldiers began moving through the prison, taking the prisoners out of the cells and dragging them to dozens of large trucks. Each prisoner had a tag attached to their jumpsuit detailing the labor camp in Utah they were destined for. Or so they were told. In reality, the trucks drove into the desert. Soldiers took the prisoners out one by one and shot them before burning the bodies.

Over 1000 prisoners were executed.
