While the research project got off to a good start, it has unfortunately been canceled. This is partialy due to the fact that the military can already target enemy food supply with its Agent Orange, which can kill off entire fields. Additionally, the cost of producing Botulinum is far too high for the military's budget to handle. It is expected to be a massive base covering some 73 square kilometers. It's capabilities are expected to include the interception and decryption of both foerign and internal diplomatic, civilian, and military communications, as well as the jamming of said signals. It is expected to be manned by 1,000 to 1,500 operators. The main targets of this base originate from possibly hostile nations, but it will also be used to moniter the communications of subversive elements within Belarus itself. The base is in many ways based off of similar intelligence gathering sites built by the Soviets, such as the one in Lourdes, Cuba. This project is estimated to cost billions, and will take some time to complete. The base's code-name is Pierachopnik. The MCC, like most large companies in Belarus, is state-owned, and thus can be expected to keep quiet about the construction of the base. As the site is located in the countryside, a temporary housing unit for the workers will have to be prepared. Additionally, plans have been made to provide increased air defense coverage for the base, to ensure that hostile forces are unable to missile or bomb the base. So far, these movements hav eproven not to be hostile towards the Republic, and discussions are being held with their leadership concernign possible independance. Polish Authority offices in the Masovian and Podlaskie regions have been cleaned out, and personnel moved beack to Belarus, where they will recieve their new assignments. A government spokesman has stated that the KGB had arrested twelve men who it believed were behind the assassination. The spokesperson also said the assassins were operatives that had worked for the former Polish Military Intelligence, and that the assassination attempt was intended to remove what they had believed to be a Belarusian puppet government in Poland. In other news, all soldiers in Hungary would be ordered to wear NBC protection while on duty. The soldiers would be told that the reason for this was to protect them from possible chemical strikes from Alvonia. However, the real reason was that the Belarusian Military Command didn't want its troops to be wiped out in case the Belarusian Army had to, for whatever reason, use it's own chemical stockpiles.
