Kang saw the EMP. His nicitating secondary eyelids compensated for the flash. He snorted in annoyance.. and lit a fuse of detonation cord beneath him. "So much for playing with them... but at least this means no warnings from the klaxon system." The burning fuse zipped into the wall out of sight. There'd be 5 minutes til the entire complex blew sky high. He decided to enjoy himself in what little time his dreamer had slotted him to live.. He rushed along the ceiling and dropped down behind the last person entering the room with a loud hiss as he would attempt to bite them. As he fell his body charged with enough volts of electricity to kill a horse on contact via the electric eel organs he had a set up throughout his body.

(I'll let you all decide who came in last.)

Following Rhee into the darkened room, Angelika could immediately feel a terrible presence within the room. She withdrew her blade and looked around at the darkened rafters. Even in the shadows, she could make out some structure to Kang's lair and it looked as though they had entered into a mock version of a cathedral. It made sense, the Black Mass in a carnival setting with a man who had turned himself into a Dragon. The thoughts had begun to make her head spin before the sound of rushing footsteps above the squad made her eyes flash and she swung around to her back to watch as an electrified demon fell upon the body of one of the Chinese agents who had volunteered to take the back of the line.

"My...God..." The Princess said as her eyes widened in horror.

The man who had been pounced on tried to swing his gun around to attack the dragon as he felt his arms wrapped by Kang's arms. He screamed in agony as the scent of burning flesh began to fill the room. Though with the agent's hand on his gun, the spasms he began going through made him shoot wildly into the air.

"Get down!" Angelika screamed as the bullets ricocheted around them and looking through the darkness she could see the eyes of the dragon shimmering as she pulled out her rifle and began to shoot round after round towards the monster's body.

Kang had already turned the firing soldier between him and Angelica.. who loaded the Chinese agent with bullets as the agent's guns continued to go off with the spasms of electrical shock. Having quickly noticed the neat little trick, Kang was pulsing his electricity causing the agent to fire the weapon towards his friends from the rear of their line while using him as a human body shield.

He charged the back of the line with the torso held in front of him, closing the distance with whomever was to be his next victim.

Rhee spun around as he heard Angelika call out, My god.

Rhee could smell the disgusting abomination before him. Without thinking, his body spun around as he unholstered a machine pistol.

"DOWN YOU GO!" he barked.

His body seemed to move in fluidity as he opened fire at the creature. He quickly ran in approaching from the side, to be out of Angelika's arc of fire.

His left leg propelled him from the ground as his eyes flared with a blue glow. He spun around and as he scanned the dragon, aiming his katana blade to stab down right between where two scaled met underneath the shoulder where the skin would be more fleshy, aiming to intercept the dragon before he could reach the next squad members.

In the narrow confines Kang was able to pull back as Rhee swung his Katana down putting the body of the soldier between him and the assailant. The katana, however, was long enough that despite the fact Kang released the now riddled and impaled Chinese soldier he still had a gash torn out of his upper left shoulder. His human shield was effectively ripped out of his claws with the momentum of the swing of the blade.

Jesse: This is what I was afraid of. He devoured my grandfather and became more powerful.

Brian: How is that possible?

Jesse: Lets just say it was the reason Vikings and Knights killed Dragons and then ate their meat. It made them more powerful.

Brian: How are we supposed to kill him?

Jesse: When guns don't work you can either rip out its heart or tear off its head. Either way works. THIS IS FOR MY GRANDFATHER!

Jesse jumped up and attacks Kang with his sword while Brian kept on shooting at him with his gun.

(OOC: I'm still not good at writing battle scenes. Both Jesse and Brian are main characters as well so they live.)

"Flank him." Rhee said. "Keep his attention on me."

Rhee leaped up onto the corpse using it as momentum, for a quick step. Executing a flip his skin began to glow as a transformation was beginning. Rhee growled as he flipped around his blade making a slash at the back of the dragonoid. The attack was more savage and fierce than the previous slash, but it packed more punch as well.

Rhee breathed at a slightly increased place, keeping his mind focused as much as he could. So far he was able to remain in somewhat of control, but only letting a bit of the drug take over his mind, if he could end this fight quickly he would stand a chance of doing so without risking the lives of the others.

"Come after me you over sized iguana." he said landing and challenging the creature provocatively by extending his arms widely and snarling. He wanted to make himself appear to be the biggest threat, knowing his endurance could hold out a lot longer than anyone else's in the fight.

Brian: What the heck. Is he a Dragon as well?

Jesse: No, he is something else.

Brian: Why are you not in your Dragon form?

Jesse: If I was in my dragon form the others may not be able to tell the difference between me and Kang so I am not taking that chance here. If Kang somehow defeats Rhee then I might change, but only if Rhee fails.

Brian: Oh.

Jesse [to Rhee]: THE ONLY WAY TO KILL HIM OTHER THAN BLOWING HIM TO PIECES IS TO RIP OUT HIS HEART OR RIP OFF HIS HEAD!

"Yeah, it's her," Mikhail yelled back to the other two. He turned back to Bridgette. "Miss Victoria Kismet, what happened to you? They say that one night you randomly went insane and fled the nation in the..."

"That is enough," Viktor yelled, "Dmitri, take a seat, you have earned it. Mikhail, you have not! You will stand!" He then walked up to Bridgette, shoving Mikhail out of the way. "We just burrowed out of a filthy Korean POW prison and torture chamber. Left for dead, we emerge yet again, thanks to him, Dmitri Petrenko! As long as he lives, the heart of this army cannot be broken!"

Everything had descended into chaos now as Angelika stood in wonderment at the battle going on over her head. The Dragon creature was making quick work of all who attacked him and the bodies of many of the Federation agents already lay across the misty ground, still pulsing with the electric volts running through their system. Rhee and the two Noverian strangers weren't having too much luck either. Through some strange mutation, Kang had become so much more than a human and it seemed that a true battle of the titans was being waged, all the while through a room where one could barely see in front of them except for the flashes of gunshots breaking forth from the rifles and pistols.

Then in the darkness she saw the reptilian eyes dart to where she stood and she felt a gulp form in the throat. The dragon was in the air suddenly and she began moving as fast as she could away from the wall. Pumping her arms and clutching her blade tightly as it was the only think to defend her from his grasp.

"!@#$..." She muttered under her breath and swung around with the blade slicing through the air.

Bridgette nodded at the Marscurians as their envoy slowly made its way around where the amusement park was. Marscurians always amused her, like playful puppies at a child's birthday party. She loved picking them up and toying with them in any way she could.

"That would be Doctor, my good man, and I guess I should have told His Majesty. I do suffer from some bouts of Schizophrenia, but it's nothing to be concerned about. Though, I would love to congratulate you gentlemen for making it out of Korean prisons alive. I've heard their nasty things."

She smiled cruelly but with the eyes of a seductive siren. "Tell me, are you gentlemen looking for work? I could use a few extra hands."

"Well Doctor Miss Victoria Kismet," Viktor said, "we look mainly to get home, but the journey is so long. Anything that will help with that goal, you have our full cooperation, especially Private Mikhail Kamen over there." Mikhail opened his mouth to say something, then decided that it just wasn't worth it.

A warped sense of Destiny..

Kang cleaned out just about all the escorts... all the guards. The other ones whom he had not slain.. he began to notice were different. Especially the one Chinese Man, the European who had no purpose in Korea, and the other two strangers.. who he could not even place. But one vaguely smelled like the other dragon creature thing he had just eaten for dinner. Despite his many wounds, he managed a back flipped over Rhee.. but instead of moving to kill the man he spoke while backing up momentarily towards the altar, "The rest of you are like me. Dreamers will be done. Avatars of hidden gods, you may have my head now. My role is played. My purpose served. I am your reward. I hope you enjoyed our.. game. Be warned, taking my blood.. can change the way you see the world. You'll then understand me. Most importantly, you'll understand yourselves. The more you can perceive.. the more obvious the veil is." He had a deranged smile to him even as he bled and grinned. He knelt before the man with the katana, his head down and his arms out-stretched even as Rhee was beginning to turn to face him. It was the perfect position for a clean beheading.

Two minutes had passed since he had lit the ignition fuse on the C4 charges throughout the complex. Three remained in the countdown. They were at a point of no-return... the main fuse had broken off to burning to each individual fuse on its way to each individual cap and charge. There was no real way to prevent at least some of it from detonating.

Rhee's eyes followed the dragonoid as it jumped around. He spun around to engage it but rather saw it seem to adopt a suicidal attitude. Something was up, and he wasn't going to give it the time of day much less a chance to be amused.

"Yeah... well $%&@ that I've had about enough of you scaley mother $%&@ers." Rhee said as he spun the blade around in his hand and brought it over his head.

"I'm done with you and your whole god damn cult!" Rhee declared. He brought the sword down, to take the head clean off. Slicing through he watched it roll on the floor.

"Lets let the janitors pick it up... preferably with napalm. I've had enough dragons for one lifetime." Rhee turned backed to his companions his skin returning to its normal pigment. "Lets get a move on." he sternly said, before a slight grin came to his face, "Personally I found that rather anti-climatic, but hey Angelika... at least I didn't try and kill you this time."

Just after the beheading of Kang.

Brian: Jesse, something is up. Remember that training mission back in Noveria. How we were able to capture the enemy General but then he detonated some explosives and basically got us as well. I think Kang might have done the same thing.

Jesse: Maybe. He did seem to give himself up easily after he killed the guards so something is up but still, why would he give himself up if he was just going to kill us anyways? It doesn't make sense. There is more to this than just him and the cult. How could he have even known that my grandfather was a Dragon so he could be lured into that trap. When he said he was pinned he also said it felt like that trap was specifically set for him. Like Kang new he was a Dragon beforehand, that could have been the whole reason he did all this. To lure us here, but why?

Stitch in time saves 4..or 5 or so?

A fuse which had been poorly timed would alert them to the fact they were inside a huge bomb. At the 3 minute mark, instead of 5, the front of the building which they had entered through... detonated with the force of 500 grams of the C4. Fortunately, safety regulations for civilian buildings even under the worst governments required some emergency exits and there would be a few in the fun house. The challenge for the "heroes" in this case.. would be when would they find them.. and the fact they'd be bolted shut when they got there. The fuses had 2 minutes left to burn.

About this time a recording of Kang's laugh began to play over the sound system...

"We go now." Rhee said seeing the explosives' fuse. Rhee's eyes moved around to grab two of the survivors, and began daring out of the facility at top speed.

Chakri meanwhile had hacked into the feed of the optical sensors of the entire team and could see that they would have trouble getting out. "Well I guess I just gotta make an exit." he said.

Loading HDRM bullets into his rifle he took aim at the mirrors in the fun house. Firing shot after shot with expert precision he blew them down to clear a path for the party to be able to escape at a faster pace.

Jesse: Come on people! Lets get out of here.

Brian: It still does not make sense that he would do all this to lure you into that trap. Could he have been working with someone else as well.

Jesse: Too late to ask him, but I think I have an idea of who might have gave him info about us. After we get out of here we are gonna pay Lee a visit.

When Kang was beheaded and the explosive fuse began to burn, Angelika from the floor looked as Rhee ran over to her and picked her up off the ground in his arm. In one fluid movement he blew a hole in the wall with an explosive and then they began running through the smoke towards the fresh air on the other side. Time seemed to stop for a moment as they reached the threshold of the fun house and then just as they crossed into the air, all the oxygen around them seemed to vanish being pulled back inside. Suddenly everything went quiet and Angelika felt herself hurled forward as a gigantic explosion rocked the entire amusement park. Rhee kept her close in his arm as his body expanded, most likely from the incredible rush of the explosion and when the smoke cleared and her vision began to clear, she saw herself covered inside the gray beast while bits and pieces of the fun house rained down on top of them. In addition to the ashes and cinders, the blood and innards of Kang Lung fell around them as well and the entire area stunk with burning reptile carcass and rotten blood.

Angelika groaned as she pushed Rhee's arm from shielding her and stepped out into the barren amusement park. Everything was in ruins behind them and the fires of Inchon behind them still burned brightly, though now, without the Cult's leader they would slowly begin to disappear back into the depths of the Earth; hopefully to never come out again.

"Rhee?" She turned around, "Rhee are you okay?"

Rhee's body had reacted on instinct as he counted the time down in his head. As they charged out of the room, he felt the transformation take place forming a natural barrier around his body, his muscles expanded to form a shield around his vital organs. He reached out to grab Angelika as he saw her fall to the ground out of instinct.

Running as fast he could, he cleared most of the area before the shock wave erupted sending them both flying forwards into the ground. He was felt sharp pains as much of his back was cut to pieces by debris but the damage was superficial, much like a severe whipping.

As they left and headed back towards an armored transport, he felt the transformation slowly recede, something he wasn't particularly eager about as it would mean a lot more pain to endure.

"Rhee?" She turned around, "Rhee are you okay?"

He looked at Angelika as they stepped onto a transport that would bring the two back to Li's office.

"I think so." Rhee said. He looked down, "This was... something else. This has to end Angelika... the death the killing... Korea needs to stop being home for mad men and experiments. I am sick of it. We've got one down, but two remain... after this is all over... after we nail Ming, Bridgette, and whomever else I would very much like to speak to your sister and brother in law." he stated with a seeming new strength in his voice. He then smiled, "Hey I didn't try and kill you aren't you impressed?" he said.

Static...

A very static filled image that looked like Kang, but was not him, appeared in empty space and stood before Rhee and Angelika. It appeared to be clapping its hands. Mouthed the words, "Good show." It then appeared to be walking away... and faded from view. Unenhanced eyes nearby, would not notice it.

"Very impressed." She smiled and sat down on the transport as she dropped her sword and gun onto the ground and fell back looking at the ceiling of the transport. Within seconds she had fallen fast asleep.

---

Sometime later, Angelika was woken up by Rhee being told that they had arrived back at the Deputy Imperator's Compound. Hoping off the transport with Rhee, the Princess was guided towards the inner chambers where Li and the rest of his associates were meeting. Ryu had returned, along with Chakri. Angelika had to laugh, every man in the room now had helped keep her alive in some fashion as she slid through the Korean countryside and to make herself feel a little better about the situation she reasoned that at least she had kept Rhee sensible throughout the last phase of the adventure.

Coming in, she saluted and smiled at the Deputy Imperator. "We killed the Dragon Cult leader, I'm sure your men are picking up his body parts now. However, now that Rhee is able to talk and not a mass of bumbling words on the ground. If we might talk about the Special Projects Department, Your Excellency. As you promised."

Rhee followed Angelika into the office, but before he could say anything, Li's eyes wandered to their side and raised a hand to Angelika. Chakri and Ryu were already standing there. Both dressed in the bright red armor, with same as Angelika's with Imperial Guard insignia's prominently displayed indicating their presence on behalf of the August Imperator.

Rhee turned to see the two men. Li smiled, "We have company, and a report..." he said.

He looked at Rhee, "Before your start, I should tell you these two gentlemen have been telling me some interesting things..." he said.

Ryu nodded, "As I was saying reports from the hospital are conclusive, Director Ming was undoubtedly involved in the synthesizing of the drug, in a way not authorized by either yourself or August Imperator Jia. There seems to be equipment rented out of Astrid Corporation throughout the hospital with at minimum has dual use purpose, and seems to have little medical utility. With this in mind, I feel that we have proper authority to place Ming under arrest and round up all Special Projects Division personnel in Korea."

Li sighed, "Rhee anything to add?" he asked.

Rhee shook his head, "If you're arresting Ming I am happy, but you should know, it is not just Ming, it is also Bridgette Saenger who is behind this, they seem to be working in collusion. She was last sited in the docks but moved around a lot, I doubt she'll be where Angelika found me."

Li sighed again, "Alright, their arrests are so ordered." He looked at Angelika, "Well cousin you should now be finally happy. Is there anything you have to add to this?" he asked her his face weary and tired.

Angelika sighed as she looked up at his haggard face. Li had been through as much hell as herself and while she wanted to say that all of this could have been prevented earlier, she couldn't bear to say something so emotionless. He was, after all, her cousin and in Korea the only thing close she had to family. Everyone else was far away in China or across the entire planet in Europe. Instead, Angelika bowed her head gently and smiled. "No, I don't have anything else to add, cousin. The only think I ask is that if we go after Saenger, that I be allowed to arrest her myself. Since she's fled Austria, Miss Saenger has made it her life's goal to destroy my family and since we are related cousin, yours as well. She is a madwoman who will stop at nothing to see Austria and China burned to the ground and I'm sure her work with Ming is solely for some influence in the East."

Then taking a long breath, the Princess staggered forward just slightly. "Though before any arrests are made, unless they need to happen immediately, I would give anything for a nice warm bath. I think we could all use the rest and relaxation actually, we've been through hell and so has Korea. This will be the last fight for the country and if we're going to give it all we have, I'm going to need a nap."

Then, without waiting, she turned away from Li and walked out of the conference room sitting down on a bench just outside. She leaned her head back and smiled. Everything was finally looking up all she needed was one more push and then Bridgette would be her's and this reign of chaos would stop. "Soon. Just as soon as I remember what sleep feels like."

Two months had past, both Ming and Bridgette were MIA. Ming had seemingly made it out of the facility moments before Ryu had arrived to place him under arrest and vanished into thin air. As predicted, Bridgette had moved locations. The man hunt for both was now intense... but so was the problem.

The uprising of the Cult had created an environment of desperation. The fragile services which supported the refugees were still broken. Since the arrest of special projects personnel everything had seemed to explode. Likely some combination of Bridgette and Ming's machinations.

These past few months had been the hardest on Li yet, he was now drinking very heavily. Despite Lt. General Zhou's urging for him to take a vacation though, he had stayed at his post, attempting to tighten his grip even as more areas of Incheon slipped through his fingers. Even a visit by his sister Xuehua, earlier in the month had failed to contain the downward spiral of overwork and drinking that had overcome Li.

The one bright spot of this was that Jia had kept his best agents in the area... and Rhee was now the Hero of Incheon for slaying the Dragon Cult leader. This status among his fellow Koreans and his respect by Ryu and Angelika in particular had made him a potent symbol for order in Incheon.

Rhee once again entered the office of the Deputy Imperator as he had many times before. He was dressed in red tunic uniform of the Imperial Guard, but unlike the others due to his transformation he did not wear full armor. "You summoned me, Deputy Imperator?" Rhee asked. He could smell the stench of alcohol in the room... a smell more and more familiar.

"Yess." Li replied. "Ryu, Chakri, and Angelika are on their way I believe. It sseems our unitss have reported that there iss ssomeone matching Bridgette SSaenger's description in the dockss, and there iss a lot of activity around her sship."

Rhee's eyes narrowed, "Are these men trustworthy, we can't let her get away like the last two times."

Zhou then interrupted him, "It comes from our elite units, this is our best shot at her."

-----------------------

Ming's hologram moved across the room on the ship where his scientist had been using as a secure contact site with his master. He seemed annoyed, "Dr. Chen, it seems that you've failed to keep Saenger from producing this on her own... that is most unfortunate."

"Y seems to have completely betrayed us Director... I am sorry." he said. "I should have suspected something."

Ming snarled, "It is no matter I am sending the R-XX models to assist you... cooperate for now, if Bridgette thinks she can get the jump on me, she will find herself quite mistaken."

With that the transmission terminated. Dr. Chen gulped, this was becoming a worse and worse job by the day.
