HHAYD
Our military forces have reported sighting of Sri Lanka's soldiers, equipments and vehicles on our soil and conducting hostile actions against us in support of the dangerous radical communist rebels. Their cargo aircraft that dropped off their unwelcome stuff were identified as belonging to Sri Lanka. Currently their forces are on a rampage in Michigan or Wisconsin and our nearby forces have been unable to halt them. There had also been reports of Sri Lanka's aircraft flying toward our airspace or have already entered our airspace, and they are obviously not peaceful. Sri Lanka is well aware of the consequences of dropping their military forces on us uninvited with violent intentions, or so we hoped. Midwest Republic is now at war with Sri Lanka. ------------------------------------------------------ A few minutes later, an international broadcast from President Natas: "Vice President George is not at his best mental shape currently. He just lost two of his top generals and was unable to accept that fact that his forces are doomed to be defeated. It doesn't help the fact that there's no one available to stop his delusional actions from destroying what remains of his little super-ultra-capitalist la la land. Oh, try not to level our country." Lestari
We wish it to be known that the Eastern French convict known popularly by the nickname 'Sir Lanka' remains in high security containment in Marne and that any attempt by the Midwest Republic to attack him in his prison will result in a flower being sent to the Republic and a note thanking them for saving us the time and money of executing Sir Lanka ourselves. comrade nikonov
Finland inquires as to whether this 'Sir Lanka' could in fact be a Mrs. Lanka, for we have in the registers of our Punjabi population a 78 year old widow, Mrs. Lanka who was married to a certain Sir Henry Lanka who passed away 16 years ago. Finland will honor any arrest warrant or extradition request that the Midwest Republic may make on this Mrs. Lanka if significant proof is found. It went through all legal hurdles needed to be recognised as non-affiliated with the Sri Lankan government, purchasing an aircraft carrier as well as all their other equipment. The number of forces they have is regulated by the government, but what Vanguard does with these troops is outside our jurisdiction. Now, despite your uninformed declaration of war, we will not be pursuing any sort of action against the 'loyalist' Midwest Republic government. We also request Selenarctos to stand down. Only when a MR navy comes within 500 kilometers of Sri Lanka will we ask for a heightened state of alert. The same applies to our good ally, the Kingdom of Cochin." - President Rajapaksa "Vanguard has been contracted to defend TriOptimum and Xanatos Enterprises assets in the Midwest Republic. Kevin Kingswell
Taken by surprise by this conflict in the Midwest Republic Katrina fired her whole intelligance agency members before ordering that only qualified citizens apply. Hopefully this would be avoided in the future. In the meantime the majority of the Missouri armed forces were mobilised to the Midwest Republic/ Missouri border. Five thousand soldiers with transports were ordered to sit tight whilst new orders were planned. With only very little firepower in the form of infantry heavy weapons and towed anti-tank and artillery pieces it was hoped they would'nt have to be used.
