Now that a large part of the old players are in the realm of future technology, I would like to propose a new system: Unique Technology. Basically, each player will be allowed to have 3~5 technology that will be unique to the player only. It'll be something like a patent, where the developer has sole rights to the new technology. This should help force players to be more creative in thinking of new stuff to make. On another part, is there any suggestions as to how to RP technology sharing? You pitched an idea, another idea was found favorite and was accepted. END OF MATTER. Now if you want to review this, point out any faults etc, give this idea some time to be tested and verified in RPs, or basically make the request After around 6 months. Tech is done, leave it to RP. By the way, this is a game based on content created by players. It is not a simulator where the software creates the content to interact with. A huge part of a player created content game is keeping players interested. In this context populism for more than just the top 10 players is something that is in everybody's interest. I'm aiming for a complete OOC blockage so that we don't have cookie-cutter militaries. How would you like it if most countries have railguns, anti-air energy beam weapons, microwaves, etc? How can we determine if someone's unique tech is outside of their actual technological range? Let's say, for instance, I fully RP a working lightsaber.
