Well, that's all a matter of opinion isn't it? Perhaps the people that were attacked thought they were fabrications, but it was enough to convince our government and our allies that war was justified. If we were attacking alliances for absolutely no reason, don't you think we would have lost support a long time ago? You say war was not necessary. But how else do you punish people for acting against you in this game? And unfair destruction is not true. The wars were justified, and the alliances disbanded of their own accord. If they wanted to stay together, they would have. Everyone says it's impossible to stand up in the face of overwhelming military force. Well I seem to remember these things called 'pre-terms'.

Just because there are wars in the past that we happened to win, does not mean we were sitting there plotting who we could 'curbstomp'. If alliances screw up and stumble into the crosshairs, are we supposed to give them a pat on the back and say "better luck next time"? I think not.

Don't get me wrong, I see your point. I just started arguing about this because of people who thought that CG disbanding was funny, but that VE disbanding was some horrible atrocity. And yeah, a lot of it is because I am in debate mode, because of the other thread. So I'm not saying that you have to feel the same about every alliance that disbands, but you should not poke fun at people because their alliance disbanded.

You think Citadel would have abandoned the Gremlins? Now that is laughable. Gremlins and TOP are pretty much the core of Citadel, the others need them and all signatories know it. Those two will not be booted. The others are kind of superfluous, look at what happned to OG. So it was good they were in Continuum so they could then leave it? That's weird logic.

How did that openly make them a target? Especially when they still had Citadel, and 2/5 of Citadel were still in the Continuum. Also, how can it be a good thing that they were a part of the Continuum, and also good that they left it?

So the Continuum was all that was wrong with Planet Bob, yet it's cool that the Gremlins were a part of it?

Right, because rumors are good things to go by. Pacifica might not have loved Gremlins, and we weren't happy when you left the Continuum, but there was respect, and we weren't planning to turn around and wipe you out. Heh, nice choice of spheres there. Red was under Moldavi, Black was under GOONland, and the war was partially started because VE tried to encroach on Black. Plenty of other spheres to choose from.
