The way to 'avoid' events is to back date tax collection, thats something you should be doing at certain levels anyway - even if not improvement swapping. It doesn't reduce the likelyhood of getting an event when you click collect taxes, it just reduces the number of times you click collect!

If you have insufficient % to defend and your troops have to return home does that count as one of the attacks, or can they attack twice once the deployed troops return home?

When I checked yesterday, 17 of the top 20 had not been in the war, one slipped into peace and two were fighting.

I think economic effects last 1 further day, I can't confirm this though - I forgot to check when I ame out of anarchy myself last week.

Did you get nuked the day before? I can't see the 8.49am attack in the Nuke News Reports (I may have missed it though). Wondering if it is a lag in sending the message and it actually happened earlier?

I may be mistaken but I thought the idea of protcting unalligned red nations was in exchange for their Senate Vote.. The replies at the start of this make it sound like it was done as some great anti-techraiding humanitarian cause.

It seems to me that he wants to attack them because THEY didnt fulfil their duties to help HIM. He fought for three weeks after all, but hey - I'm only basing my opinion on what the guy has actually said.
