  1. I've always been of the opinion that the HNMS is overrated, but that's just me. If you want the biggest effect, i'd do pentagon with WRC, but that is obviously really expensive. If you don't have the cash to spare or you don't feel like spending that much cash, take the anti-air, I have it and it is great.
  2. Although the admin may see this, I doubt he will answer things like this here. I would try PMing him and talking privately with him if you are offering something like this.
  3. Well there are two answeres to that question. 1. Let's assume there is still extortion. If it did take place offsite, it should not matter anyway because it is outside of admin's and mod's jurisdiction. If it isn't in the official CyberNations surrender terms, then it effectively does not exist in character...as we are not allowed to refer to Real Life or OOC things in an In Character forum...which is where the surrender terms would be posted...correct? 2. Let's assume that no extortion happened but it was an agreement between the two parties. Then this is up to the interpretation of admin and his mod's..which seems silly considering they are not involved in the actually agreement and therefore can not possibly know whether the losing side willingly went along with this or was extorted anyway... So enforcing this would seem to be very difficult unless the surrender terms specifically stated it, which would be stupid to do.
  4. That's my point... If it isn't in the official surrender terms, then it isn't a part of the agreement dictating what is needed for peace. Therefore if two leaders speak on IRC and agree that the viceroy will get admin access as a part of the viceroy process, then admin can't say this is against the TOS...because it wasn't officially a part of the in game agreement and therefore doesn't have anything to do with the game. But what the mod was stating above was that even though it's not an "official part of the agreement", that it still could be extortion...which would therefore be against the TOS. And my whole point is that the only people that can decide whether this is the case are the mods and admin, who most likely would not have been present for any talks that took place outside of the game between the 2 parties and therefore would not be able to make a sound judgement on it.
  5. It seems to be very vague and unclear. You just stated So donation deals are therefore against the TOS as money is an asset that is not a part of CN. But even if we go with your last statement, determining whether there has been a "threat" or extortion is completely based on personal perspective of people that aren't actually involved in the surrender agreement...which to me seems to be a little odd. And the opinion of people involved can be changed based on whether it works to their advantage or not. ie In the beginning it wasn't extortion but now that they want the forums back, it is... It seems to me that the only way to enforce it is to make sure that it is not apart of the surrender terms officially, and therefore anything else given has to be assumed to be volluntary.
  6. There is a very easy way around this. If you agree to a Viceroy, then couldn't you just give him admin access and an account as a separate deal? It would be very hard to link someone getting admin access and surrender terms as long as the admin access/account was not listed as a part of the official terms. But if you want to be stringent about it, aren't donation deals against the TOS now? Trading someone's $20s for in game aid?
  7. I'm looking to fill 2 of my slots with regular dealers. I had 2 of my regulars quit the game. The normal 3M for 100 tech will do..every 10 days. Do not respond here, pm me in game. I am looking to BUY tech.
  8. Don't interact and don't sign in from her network and don't let her sign in from yours and the 2 of you should be fine.
  9. But is that the case? From my experience, the good events can be very good, whereas the bad ones aren't completely terrible. Like +$10 income compared to all of the stupid -10% land events...
  10. It shouldn't make a difference. If there are an equal number of bad events as there are good, in the long run things should even out.
  11. Tech doesn't directly effect battle odds, it simply makes your soldiers kill more of the enemy when you battle each other, IIRC. And as to your 3rd paragraph, this isn't true. A nation with 10k infra and 1k tech compared to a 10k infra and 5k tech nation will have a terribly hard time trying to anarchy him. The tech heavy nation when attacked will kill many more soldiers than the attacking nation and will hardly ever be within range to be anarchied. I'm not sure if i agree with raising the damage caps. I just think that tech should directly effect your odds of winning battles as well as having the effect of killing more men like it does now. This way people will still want tech because winning battles is what war is all about.
  12. Those first two suggestions are just ways to let younger nations catch up to older ones...which isn't necessary. The older nations have been playing the game longer, you won't ever catch them..get over it. But as to your 3rd suggestion, what if instead of decreasing the expiration rate, it simply upped the amount that either A) you could import (tech i mean) or B) if a nation sent you 50 tech, it would turn out to be 60 tech on your end because of those gold and microchip modifiers. The really large nations that aren't trying to build infra as much anymore would benefit from being able to get more tech. Also imo, tech should directly effect battle odds, but thats just me.
  13. You most likely won't have problems. I have been playing CN in the same situation as you for about a year and a half and have never had a problem. The mods say that they have more than just IPs to compare in seeing if someone is cheating. Most likely they can tell if you are on a large network and other stuff like that.
  14. I don't think anyone is pretending it makes sense for it to me this way...but yes you can attack someone, kill every single one of their soldiers, and they won't go into anarchy. You have to send a defeat alert to anarchy someone. It is nearly impossible to anarchy someone with a 3 on 1 attack unless one nation is vastly bigger than the enemy.
  15. But that would be a huge bug IMO. Meaning that I can have 70k of my 100k troops deployed and not worry about it because i can't be anarchied with them away from home? So someone hits me with an attach which killed 30k troops and brings me to 0 defending, then my deployed troops get brought home and he has to deal with all 70k of them as well before i'm anarchied? Doesn't make much sense.
  16. So I attacked my enemy today along with another NPO nation, I won both battles, put him to 8k soldiers and 0 tanks. I know he had about 17k soldiers and 1.7k tanks deployed as well. So the other guy attacks and im refreshing my screen, he loses the first attack and the enemy is now at 4k soldiers and 0 tanks...shouldn't that be enough to anarchy him anyway?? But he's not in anarchy. The other guy attacks a 2nd time, this time winning and it brings all his deployed soldiers and tanks home...yet no anarchy again. Back in the day if you brought someone's troops home, it was an auto anarchy. This has to be a bug no? Unless now you can have as many deployed troops as you want and once you hit 0 defending soldiers they are brought home and given another chance to defend. But i'm pretty sure that isn't how it works.
  17. As others have stated, this game is all about politics and social interaction among nations and alliances. If this interests you, look up some possible alliances that you wish to join and do some research on them. There is an alliance out there for everyone, many different types with many different goals. IF there is one piece of advice I can give you it's this...don't stay unaligned for long if you are not in peace mode. You'll get raided fast...or come on the red team for the NPOs protection.
  18. Team: Red Nation Name: Itally National Leader: Guido Link to Nation: http://cybernations.net/nation_drill_displ...Nation_ID=97698 Your Resources: Sugar and Spices Needed Resources: Marble and Water Any team is fine and I will pay.
  19. no one is going to just give you money so join an alliance or start doing tech deals for it
  20. i don't understand then...you can't dismiss troops after not paying taxes for 3 days + right?? so youw ould do this every 2 days?
  21. Its not worth it bc if you did this 100 times, the money you would make could be erased by 1 idiot that decided to attack you and give you a defeat alert.
  22. If you have friends in dorms, log in from their computer. Myself and 2 other roommates played CN for a while from the same dorm room but the school gives everyone their own IP...So that would work.
  23. I don't understand how you would not be ready to attack someone... I mean you are making the decision to do so. It's not like when someone attacks you and you aren't ready, because you didn't know it was coming. But when you are on the offensive, of course you know it is coming, and therefore you would have the proper resources at your disposal. Otherwise why would you be attacking in the first place?
