Over half your alliance are useless nations that don't even bother fighting back.

Plus you should always declare at least an hour before update to get an extra day of nukes in. If you are attacking an hour before update it's not likely you will get quad attacks in anyway. Not that quad attacks are even useful when you can just nuke your target the next day. Update attacks are a relic of a pre nuke era when alliances would blitz as close to update as possible to try to put their targets into anarchy. Anarchy used to be a big thing in the days before warchests. Remember, wars only lasted 1-2 weeks. I always found it funny how people still use the update blitz.

We thought it was our best chance at winning a war with the odds against us. You see, that's the difference between TOP and Sparta. When we saw the cards were stacked against us our first thought wasn't, "man how can we avoid damage and hope for our situation to improve?" Instead we went directly after the bloc we disliked and blew up as much !@#$ as possible. We may have lost, but at least no one will ever doubt that we put forward our best effort. I guess that's why people fear fighting TOP and treat fighting Sparta as a glorified tech raid.
