I've lost GA's on 80% odds. I've lost dogfights with an very large advantage, losing a majority of my Air force compared to destroying a handful of the opponents.(granted these were in TE where I primarily play but I don't think there are any drastic differences between the battle system of the two besides numbers destroyed).
