Some alliances consider an AA of 20 or more to be an alliance. We consider it to be 15 or more. Umbrella considers it 12. There's a reason people have these distinctions. One nation is not an alliance. It's one nation. A Two-nation AA represents some kind of cooperation between them and some can argue that it should be considered an alliance, but it also sets a precedent that any two nations can team up to nuke someone and be forced to be seen as an alliance. This is why most sane people set a lower limit. In any case, 20 or more is pretty-well universal. If there are any huge AAs out there that consider a 50-nation AA to still be rogues, they would have a lot of political scorn. 15 nations is fairly standard.

You know what? This is the most hypocritical thing I've ever heard Methrage say. Let's examine this. He's saying that it's unfair or unsporting of us to use sanctions against him. First, it's war. We're going to use everything at our disposal. If we can get sanctions against him on so many colours it's clear that nobody with any sort of actual influence is on Methrage's side so that should tell him something. Obviously, it doesn't. But in any case, he's bragging that we can't beat him without any such unfair advantage. I guess Methrage would be above such tactics. We're fighting Methrage, who actually believes he is worth being considered a full-fledged alliance and in the past has argued until everyone involved gets tired of debating and some people out there actually take him seriously. In our last conflict with him people sent him lots of secret aid for some reason. So given the circumstances, I think making a public declaration was necessary just to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Yes, he is a rogue, and yes, aiding him will be an act of war.

To get things back to the original topic, Methrage, please for the love of Bob, tell me why you're advertizing 15 government positions in an alliance with two people. Do you really think that the promise of government positions will make people flock to your disaster of an alliance? Here's a metaphor: You're running a small business out of your basement. The business is really just you and a friend you roped into helping you. You treat it like a multinational corporation and announce the open positions for senior vice presidents, junior vice presidents and senior management staff, except the positions are unpaid volunteer positions and your company is known for making disastrously bad decisions and treating its membership and clients like they don't exist. Can't wait to see those resumes come flooding in!
