not base my decisions on any fictional In-character personality or ideology. Whatever benefits my alliance the most statistically is more important. I would have said whatever gives the most entertainment value.

That is what we are doing here, judging peoples characters and how well we think they did as gov. It was the same for WAE and WPE. It has nothing to do with treating the player crap. If I can't point out that X was awful at running his alliance and ended up getting it rolled because of his own incompetence without upsetting the player then that makes them way too emotionally involved in what people think about a fictional character. Just because our forums aren't directly part of the CN website doesn't make it not part of the game.
