1. Have fun getting rolled, I guess.

  3. You could apply this to anybody on this forum, not just NpO. EVERYONE lies.

All those alliances caught up in war over a tiny insignificant incident... Damn, we're pretty awesome.
  5. Leeroy vs. the Dragon Whelps certainly has a nice ring to it.
  6.
Your argument is much like saying that you can stay at home with your doors locked, but that if you walk down the street, a thug has the right to mug you.
But the street wasn't made for the purpose of mugging people. War mode IS. Stop repeating the same arguments, it makes you look dumb.
  7.
If CnG wins it will be at a terrible cost. TOP will inflict massive losses in this scenario and CnG will take months to recover. And if TOP wins then TOP will be in a similar position. I can see this war as being mutually destructive with no clear benefit for the victor regardless of who they are. A minimum of ~10k nukes is most likely going to be dropped onto the victorious power in the course of this war if it is allowed to play out to the bitter end.
Quoted for truth. There is no "winner" in a war like this, except perhaps everyone else who wasn't involved. I forsee a massive drop in NS/Score for both sides, possibly even to the point where a sanction is lost... Though maybe not, looking at the huge gap.
  8. I do hope you realize that the only possible outcome of this is more of it, right?
  9.
Being in war mode does not compel you to go to war, especially not against someone that has done nothing to you. Justifying tech raiding by saying war mode exists IS like justifying rape because tube tops exist.
But that's what I'm saying: War mode was created by the great and almighty Admin for the SOLE PURPOSE of going to war. The rape analogy is silly and ridiculous, because tube tops and short skirts were not made for the specific purpose of being raped, as far as I'm aware at least.
  10.
I have to say, i am sorry dear TOP/IRON but you are at a political disadvantage, you and all you friends raise really good hypothetical points, you try hard to compare your situation to Japan (nice try but... NO) and to other historical events in CN, but unless you can present a screen shot or a hard piece of evidence which suggests that C&G was going to attack you, you are at a disadvantage and you are the offensive player. It's rather simple.
Pretty much this. Completely unwarranted attacks get people in this world upset, for whatever reason.
  11.
If you're out of popcorn, is that a good reason to start a new war?
Always. In fact, I make a point out of preemptively striking people who have popcorn when I'm afraid of running out.
  12. Hey Legion! Happy birthday and all that, and good luck in the future!
  13.
So it is the fault of the victim of a \m/ugging, for having the audacity to own a wallet, knowing full well that it could be taken by force? I suppose the girl in the short skirt is just asking for it as well.
If the wallet came with a big warning label that says "BY ALL RIGHTS, IF YOU OWN THIS WALLET YOU MAY GET MUGGED BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THIS WALLET IS FOR" then yes. Again, war mode is for war. If you don't like it, there's a very feasible alternative. I don't understand how people don't get this.
  14.
Polaris as a result of PC, \m/, and FOK lost around 2 million of their NS in those 8 days. Eh, whatever.
Totally worth it, imo. That's a whole, what, 8 score? Good stuff!
  15.
This is the most complicated war I have ever seen. but once the dust settles there will be a totally new political paradigm on Planet Bob, what it can be will be anyone's guess, but the winners will get to define the politics of the post war era.
Or it will just be more of the same, kinda like how right now is just more of the same from a year or two ago. Try again.
  16.
I hope (both of) you and your entire alliance gets burned to the ground. With that out of the way, congratulations!

This is a terrible treaty and I, for one, hope you two weeaboos get cratered.
17.
Athens, \m/, PC, and Goons have made it clear that simply joining an alliance isn't enough anymore. You have to be in an alliance bigger than whatever group of thugs they can get together. Peace mode has it's uses, but playing while constantly in peace mode isn't a very good plan. New players, in particular, need a little time to find an alliance. Sure, you can easily join one on your first day, but if you do that, you essentially know nothing about the alliance. Even experienced players may leave the alliance they are in, and need a little time to decide where they want to go next. Tech raiding is simply bullying people smaller than you. And that wouldn't bother me so much if the tech raiders didn't cry and whine every time someone fights back.
You're approaching this the wrong way. You can either have no threat of war (peace mode), or you can put yourself at risk to gain a bonus to your income. Trying to say you have a right to not get attacked when you're in the mode that was designed for you to be at risk of attack while improving faster is silly. You can't have your cake and eat it too, as they say.
  18.
Uh, actually they fight because you attacked them.
Most intelligent post related to this war I have ever seen.
  19. Grub's Xanathos Gambit War. No other title is acceptable.
  20. This was an entertaining break from the norm of this forum, and thus I give you +1
  21. Eh, I'm more of the opinion that it was just an awesome coincidence. I mean, NpO and \m/ both dropping out of war immediately prior to the whole thing exploding and getting most of the 'verse involved isn't something that possibly could have been planned... It just turned out in such a way that it makes the current massive war effectively being fought over absolutely nothing.
  22. As much as your alliance's name makes me want to set people on fire, this is admirable. Best of luck, because with the way this war is going you'll certainly need it.
  23. Didn't you hear? The Optional Defense Network is rubbing off on them. I kid, of course (Because I do <3 ODN) but I understand that conflicting treaties DO get frustrating. My only suggestion here is this: When you (and this goes for everyone in general) go to sign a treaty with another alliance, make sure their other treaty partners are people you can see yourself getting along with and having similar views to when it comes to wars. That way, situations like this one can be partly mitigated. Hope that helps. :/
