  1. Looking like this is my total for the war. Props to Black Rose and TBRaiders for a fun and well-fought war. Especially TBRaiders - he exploited my postwar collection to get an anarchy before I could counter. Cost me 10M and probably cost him a fair amount more damage, but also saved three of his colleagues from counterattacks at a pretty significant infra disparity.
  2. But I didn't even collect after the last war. :(
  3. Yeah, I had a great time this war, and a shout out to all my opponents. Sorry i couldn't be quite so active this time - I'm in the middle of moving halfway across the country. I promise more split-second coordination and instant rebuys next time!
  4. No matter what happens, I think we can classify all participants in the current ongoing war as winners. Also, I think you're 10 days off. Today is day 56. (Please keep up the excellent public service though!)
  5. There's a puppy attached to the nose of every cruise missile I launch. I hope Clash will find that sufficient? You're on your own for the chili cheese fries, though. Vile concoction.
  6. :( I'd like to thank everybody for a fun war. Sorry I couldn't be more active - work travel always comes at the worst times, and my mad scramble to get out of Hawaii during the tropical storm didn't help. TBRaiders, Black Rose, Devil Dog, and DZE landed some very nicely coordinated hits, and made very good use of update attacks to stop us from using our nukes effectively.
  7. I predict that if Swazz makes enough predictions, he'll eventually get one right.
  8. Conclusion being that...Swazz wears dresses? OK, sure. This is the 21st century. We're cool with things like that.
  9. For example: Largest Single Tax Collection 7/4/2013 Byzantium $17,814,494 I know that I pulled down well over 20M a few days ago. Not that I want people to have more info on my nation, but bugs tend to have unexpected consequences, so it's still better to track them down...
  10. The educator in me just died a little inside. Funny - after dealing with America's youth, I didn't think there was anything left to be killed. :/ And even funnier, I swear I remember you wishing us the best of luck, but stating that you didn't see any point to destroying your nation in a lost cause. I guess you have forgotten such choice quotes as: (With another six months of context, we can see why your lofty position in the learning alliance didn't last long. You seem to have trouble with the learning...)
  11. If you consider the top 31 nations (by NS) among our opponents, they had a pre-war ANS of 6797. If you prefer infra as a metric for strength, then the top 31 nations (by infra) had 48,024 infra. If you prefer "balls" as a metric of nation strength, then I'm afraid that Swazz has none. :( (I am disappointed that Swazz has already forgotten how TPC handled the last war we found unsatisfying, given that he was on our roster at the time. That said, he ran away to protect his own nation instead of joining our guerilla campaign, so I can understand why he might not want to dwell on it...)
  12. Also, a strategy to consider is going 1v3 with updeclares. As an example, if Zulqarnain/Fishbolle/Virginia had hit me at 1v3, they could have overwhelmed my defenses and done a ton of damage. Even just coordinating with their own alliancemate (Custard), they would have been dealing close to 200 infra damage from air attacks and another 60 from CMs every day. They probably could have snuck most of their GAs past too, adding another 200+. Add Urasia (who I know is looking for RE nations to coordinate with), and you get another 100 infra destroyed per day. I was expecting our top nations to get pulled down by these kind of coordinated human waves, rather than just being left to gnaw away at their blitz targets.
  13. There are four keys to success in Cybernations: 1) Guerilla camps 2) Nukes 3) Spies 4) Warchest Forget any one, and your life gets a lot harder. Forget any two, and you're hosed. And if you forget spies, then you might as well have forgotten nukes too. I've already taken 15 nukes this war, and I only stopped because my remaining opponents don't have enough spy slots to run them out before the wars end anyway.
  14. o/ war o/ blitzing while blitzed! (AFK, getting more alcohol)
  15. TPC started to have that problem with our forums. At peak, we had perhaps 100 spambots active at any given time, and we still have about ten bots knocking on our door at once. We solved it by requiring a CAPTCHA even to submit a new account request, combined with manual approval of new accounts by an admin. We now only have one spambot get through the CAPTCHA every few days, and they're easy to filter out based on the profile.
  16. I'm almost certain that one of the new additions to TE was that whenever you have new messages, you see a red notification - i.e., "(1)" - beside "My Messages" in the side menu bar. I've now confirmed that while you still see this for unread Alliance Announcements, you no longer see this for unread messages to you. Is this a bug?
  17. Stats as of 11:45 (post SO buildup, pre target buildup, pre most of the blitz, ignoring lowbies under 1000 NS) Specify Other: 40 nations, 181968 NS, 4549 ANS, 41338 infra, 14 nukes Mume + Aftermath: 41 nations, 159580 NS, 3892 ANS, 40283 infra, 0 nukes *shrug* If you ask me, you should have hit those infrahugging bastards in TPC.
  18. I predict that SwazzTE will make a rather underwhelming effort at stirring shit up.
  19. Already ahead of you on this one! As of 6 hours ago: :) Also...
  20. Aside from desperately needing a vacation, I'll say that I'm very happy with the way this round turned out. I decided to mostly stop worrying about flagrunners, and just went for lots of wars. I think my count is six alliance wars and an extra police action that involved nukes. I fought a lot of good opponents and a few great ones, and if I hadn't deferred to Chess Tyrant and his WRC o' Doom in the final wars, then my nuke launch count would have been closer to 70ish than 60ish.
  21. I agree with this. I've been on the edge of quitting for a couple of rounds now due to difficulties making update. The playerbase is geographically distrbuted enough that you can't change update without hurting somebody, so the answer is to move away from game mechanics that reward update attacks.
  22. The suggestion that occurred to me a while back was that you could change someone's SE nation name/bio to anything you wanted. That would probably get some people interested. :)
  23. Yeah, I have to admit that I actually totally fumbled it. I was going back and forth F5ing windows with my messages screen and the all-TE nuclear purchases page, and was like "oh shit oh shit nuke!" and misclicked the wrong link, and then was like "oh shit oh shit wrong link" and had to go back and reclick. Total amateur hour. :( As an aside, those GAs destroyed almost as much infra as a nuke would anyway. Ouch! Sauropsida's WRC-boosted nukes are really going to start hurting in another 23-odd hours...
  24. This spy report was brought to you by the letter "F" and the number "5".
