1. "I am silent therefore I consent!" Has the ageless writer Thomas More taught you nothing?
2. deth2munkies, in regards to point number three: All 15 alliances are enforcing the terms, and the terms include a clause that 1/12th of reps must be paid per month. 14 out of the 15 agreed to suspend reps and waive the 1/12th reps per month clause. If we were to not have that particular clause waived, we would be subject to being attacking for breaking terms, ie: not sending out the 1/12th of the reps. I don't get why this is so difficult for so many to understand...
3. Didn't the NPO pay for all her sins according to the Karma War, right? Wasn't what that war was about? Paying off old sins and debts? So why do people still bring up this old history which we apparently already "paid" for? edit to clarify.
4.
If it's considered a norm, why didn't you do it?
Wait... what? We did follow this norm. You don't. But let me get this straight... You decide to break this "norm" and it is our fault?
5. @nofish This isn't the TPF war. We contacted every alliance with the last couple of weeks, and as our Emperor Cortath says, 14 out of 15 had no issues with allowing the suspension of reps. I want to thank the alliances I dealt with in the matter, as they were prompt and polite throughout it all. Try harder to make us look like the bad guys, GOD.
6. What a brave new world we live in. Most merciful terms so far this war. o/ Pacifica o/ Emperor Cortath
7. Sir Paul beat me to it. I sure hope Sooner is up to this... Congrats on peace GGA, I suppose.
8. I never said it was ODN who had the ulterior motives. You selectively quote me to make it seem as if I'm trying to dog ODN, like you want to play the victim or something in all this. You read too deep into my words, and take offense to them too easily, like you're guilty or something.
9. In regards to Orange Unity, which i spent a decent portions of my 2009 summer trying to solidify, I'd have to say IRON, TORN, R&R, TOP and FOK were major players trying to get things done. Unfortunately, I also think FOK was more concerned with LEO than OUT, but so be it. ODN mostly played lip service to it all, and Vanguard was nearly outright hostile to it all, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, my AA at the time precluded me from working with FOK effectively, since a person in TORN utterly wrecked our FOK relations and then jumped ship, but I would have liked it if I had been able to work with them in retrospect. We (the Citrus Councilors) worked hard to get FnKa and tR into OUT and revitilize it. It was a noble goal, but those with ulterior motives at heart wrecked it, IMO. As for who got hit hardest, I'd have to say TORN did.
10. A wonderful piece of literature as always, Sir Paul! o/ Pacifica o/ Tabloid Tribune
11.
This isn't my alliance anymore, it can't be. I'd rather let my nation burn than serve this monstrosity masquerading as Polaris.
The old Polaris is long dead. This new one is sickening.
12. Best of luck ADI. You hold your head high even though others try to keep you down, and there is nothing wrong with that.
13. I will respect bigwoody's wishes at this time. If you want to find me, I think you'll be able to find me on IRC. Best of luck TORN.
14. So she had a confidant outside of the alliance at the time while she was Minister of Foreign Affairs? That makes her word so much more valuable now. edited to add content.
15. Are you her lawyer now? She can answer for herself if she really wanted to.
16. You have no right to say that. You've squandered enough honor to fill a large trash barge. I think many members of TORN will see this the opposite way, but you weren't really around to see the repercussions of the actions of those months afterward, now were you?
17. This is rich considering it is coming from someone in an alliance who fought against this sort of thing. I think there's a lot more to this whole TORN getting out of the war because of MK than most people think, and given some of the names I've been seeing recently in this thread, they seem to enjoy the gray area which exists about the subject and use it to their own benefit.
18. Congrats Chey! Have fun, or else I'll coup you in another world.
19. Welcome to Red! I look forward to speaking with you all soon.
20. Catface, I was actually referring to this above quoted text. I can see how that could seem the way you took it though. My apologies. edit for clarity
21. Wait, so I suppose this would be the fourth incarnation of EPIC which was discussed yesterday? Either way, congrats Boris, just don't run out of wool any time soon!
22. All kinds of awesome going on in this thread! o/ Nevermore o/ Honor
23. the thickness has spoken in this matter I believe. Have you checked their war screen?
