I honestly kinda agree with the OP, there is a culture of ease that COULD make alliances/players more willing to "express" how they feel and lead to more conflict, which is what people wanted anyway, more conflict, less boredom I don't think for a second though anyone has the will power for that possible future shown in the OP to see the light of day. People will eventually drive others to the point "exceptions" will start being made on the EZI of people and other groups, believe me people have the tenacity to go on for years (I have seen it go on for a maximum of 10 years in another world) harassing alliances/people; that will cause many to break down into old punishing ways.

I'm convinced I saw you in Vox Populi in the past. Vox has parodied NPO members in the past and you fit the MO perfectly. I know you guy's still fight them but its probably time to just do that with bombs and tanks at this point. You have already convinced everything that NPO are "evil" & "oppressors" and spying especially this bad to make the NPO look worse just looks bad at this point for you guys since they are already pretty much defeated and its just unnecessary.

I would say it has increased since Karma thought the NPO would begin to show guilt but instead went the opposite in attitude. Now the NPO I think resizing its situation is getting angrier and the other side just wanting the NPO to loose faith is getting even angrier that its not happening. Its boiled past the level of yelling and trolling, I would call this time the eye of the storm before the really bad aggression starts showing.

two weeks is still not enough to get that high up, they might break 19 points but to get about 24, that's going to take a lot of POWs and the war is just not that big anymore with most surrendered and out of it.

once the 10th comes around this war will be a month old, meaning nations will be leaving it in droves if they remember the terms. I don't see it getting large enough before then.

naming events is not democratic, no matter how many of these are made. voted no, WW1 was a term used for a war in this game, it was the first war ever I think and involved CATO.

You got to remember what happened with the NpO, It had around 600 members or more after the last war and went down to almost 300, alliances do decline drastically after wars, sometimes even if they won the war.

its got to be at two weeks now, at least a majority of hegemony will be gone if not all but NPO and IRON, at that point it will probably turn into a VietNPO if they still fight on since the large war would be over.

Its his loss, he will be casted out and left in ruin long after you guys rebuild.

Names for events are not something voted on, people come up with a name during or after and if enough start using it becomes popular and eventually the name. People did not vote on what to call WW1/2, Great depression, Cold War someone just uttered those names and people not having another thing in mind went with them. Its pointless trying to change that. This could have been called the Vox Retribution war even though it was not about them, and all the voting in the world would not stop people from using it once it become the name of it in there mind.

There is group think in every alliance and coalition, I fall into it alot, just look at my change in personality and attitude towered the NPO from my time in DT over to Polaris.

I would probably start my own allaince (probably on red like I tried in the past) which would not work out.. if I had knowledge of the alliances playing but nothing else would probably join Fark since that's a name that would be familiar (I visit the site a lot) I would probably still be a communist too and that would be a deciding factor. If CN has effected me in RL in anyway the biggest would be my now large dislike for communism after being around them in SE. So if I had no been in CN yet would probably still like the ideology.
