Trust me as a former ONOS member I know what it is like to go through the death of an alliance simply because we (GUARD) was beginning to be seen as the counter bloc (with VE leaving init and applying and all) but in all truth GUARD was scared out their minds that they would be seen as a threat knowing they would be powerless to stop it This being said I don't think there has ever been a point in history where a transition occurred from the oppressed to being in power where they didn't abuse their power and come to regret it in some way. The power that has been instilled in Karma is quite a large responsibility and while it may be important for some to achieve retribution this does not portray the image of changed world. If you hate the NPO for what they did to certain alliances do not become the group you hated so much. Bring justice to the world but make sure you fall short of the dangerous slope of persecution.

Peace mode is not really useful anymore... only time this stat would really tell anything was when an alliance knew it was going to be crushed, not as an offensive/defensive strategy

Had these posts been made on the OWF they would then be relevant and could be taken in context. Unfortunately by pulling random posts from an environment you do not understand you can not maintain their full context and any post will undoubtedly be misconstrued. Seeing as these posts were placed on a private section of a board with limited access they were meant for one audience and not another. Imagine if everyone around you could see your innermost thoughts, we all know this wouldn't end well because you are able to control what other people hear from you through the thoughts you decide to voice. There is a reason such posts were not made on the OWF and quite frankly anyone could be portrayed in a very negative manner when someone else is given the ability to control what speech of this person is heard (think of the daily show, while greatly entertaining it often takes advantage of this factor and portrays people as desired for humor) When applied to political forefront with political motivation this action is often underhanded and is especially so when it singles out one particular person. In short, don't try to understand citadel from an outsiders perspective, the ability to hold thoughtful and sometimes brutally honest discourse is something that brings these particular alliances together more so than any similar alliance goals/stats/or political leanings. Citadel is not for everyone and I can guarantee this thread will not have an effect on members of citadel speaking their minds freely.
