Some of the resources still haven't changed for me but have for others. Also, some changed then went back to the original... I like them but it would be nice to have some consistency. Hopefully it will sort itself out over time.

This has been a very interesting thread LMC and one which all recruiters should learn from. It shows a need to be different whilst not sacrificing basic essentials for a message. I would send you a message but I fear that most of the more established alliances have a better chance of securing your services.

Your message is a good start however it needs to be made different! I'm sure the people who are in no alliance get 20+ of those messages so it needs to be developed into offering something else. If anything you go into too much detail about tech deals to people who don't actually know what they are! Also, where is the forum link?? Also, put a space between paragraphs. The aesthetics of a message may improve it's chances of success.

You're right that it's a very basic announcement but what I hope Kait was referring to in her post was that she was happy with reading it due to our two alliance coming together. Her actually enjoying reading it means she was lying bout reading the post

In another DoE I asked the question of what they would say if a friend posted a DoE and they answered that they would show similar hostile views about another new alliance being created. However, this has not what has been shown with IS actually applauding this creation. IS do themselves no favours.

Punctuation and capital letters are your friends, use them. Good luck although this hasn't been the most promising of starts, your charter will need to be adapted if this alliance is to go anywhere.

Jack has obviously created this alliance for the shock value it would cause. If he wanted it to be successful he would have called it 'The Disco' (unless he really is naive). I can't see this going further than maybe 10 people who are Jack's friends due to the obvious issue of recruitment to an alliance with a name like this. He seems to have a pretty good set-up (nice flag and forums) so I will watch with interest with what happens here. Also, I find it highly unlikely that all the people who have expressed distaste for the name are actually offended, they're just being offended for other people who might be offended. I find it highly amusing that IS are quick to heap praise upon this DoE, they certainly should get a treaty going with AD as both alliances seem to crave attention.

After a long discussion with the TOS government the result was inconclusive with no-one paying attention to the question at hand! Therefore I would now like to announce that all foodstuffs are welcomed and enjoyed within the alliance.

First off I'd like to thank TTK for granting us this protectorate. They've been great people to work with and I hope that this relationship can continue to flourish long into the future. I also have other announcements to make. TOS has some milestones and new government to shout about! Well there's a Straw Man if I ever saw one, picking on possibly the one weakest bit of my post. I bet that if one of your friends on CN made an alliance you'd congratulate them and wish them the best of luck.

I feel like smashing my head against something. Just listen to yourself! All the alliances were new at one stage, even yours! *shock horror* Stop bleating about how new alliances are bad. Yes alliances will disband when people realize they don't have enough time or skill but that should be up to the individuals if they want to try it out. Just let people make their mistakes. The new alliances aren't cluttering up CN if 90% of them disband and even then their are 10% who make it somewhere!

You really are a hypocrite. a) You had a protectorate with PC B) I don't wanna look it up but am sure you currently have or will have an MDP c) If an alliance did DoE without a protector you'd probably be the first alliance to raid them. CN has developed where it's essential to have allies in order to survive. You are heading towards alienating your allies if you carry on in the manner you are.

Who says your alliance is not "overcrowding" CN? You're the 144th biggest alliance in the game! That's not exactly one of the big players on Bob. How would you have felt if your DoE had gotten trolled? (and don't say that you wouldn't have cared)

Maybe the people setting up their own alliances are just trying to have some fun!

Not quite grasped the concept of sarcasm either I see. I'm interested in your thoughts as your alliance was only set-up 3 months ago. Just because there is now a sudden influx of new alliances due to Rulers being released by their alliances after fighting in the war, doesn't make them any less valid.
