I am not taking a side in this, however, I read this exact OP (poor grammar and all) two weeks ago when they were talking about how to handle the situation. And it was said (I think, if I recall correctly) that they would have it straightened out in 2 weeks or so. So the timing is really a coincidence.

NSO didn't make anyone look like anything other than annoyed. A poorly informed FARK leader mouthed off and embarrassed himself. Somehow this will probably actually turn an NSO PR disaster (Corinan mouthing off and Ivan having to cover his $@! by saying nothing Corinan says means anything, ever, followed by infinite posturing with DF) into an embarrassment for us because NSO got the last word before the fireworks started. Amazing. Excuse me, I have to go talk to people concerned about an actual war. NSO can continue to sit on the sidelines and snipe at 20-member alliances.

So in other words, "we have a legit CB against you, this is war worthy, if you'll let us not get too badly hurt... hey CSN will you let us not get completely reamed if we declare war on you? Pleeeaasse?" Got it. I have learned literally nothing about NSO that I didn't already know from this incident. And for future reference, we are not a lulz alliance. If you have a gripe with us, you can raise your issue with us. Or you can run your mouth on the OWF. Or you can declare war on us. But if you declare war on us, you're going to bleed hard. We're not going to play pretty pink princess with you because you want to save face. I'd say something about backpedaling, but I think that's been covered to many hearts' content.

True, but to be fair, alliances shouldn't be started by people who have been playing the game 2 weeks. If I wanted to start an alliance, I could go to any number of alliance leaders I know very well and who know me and get a solid protectorate agreement. If you're starting an alliance, you should already have experience and established contacts in this game.

Ejay, Wolfpack did what they were supposed to. They provided mediation, diplomatic support, and tried to arrange a peaceful agreement. There isn't much need to carry a treaty on when the people you hold it with belligerently ignore any attempts at contact and diplomacy with their treaty partners. It should be patently obvious that Wolfpack isn't in a MADP agreement, and doesn't have to blindly follow Justice on a suicide charge. And based on Justice's behavior in the past 3 or 4 weeks, they shouldn't have any treaty arrangements in the future, either. Therefore, you get threads like this. They could've waited until after the war to cancel, but what's the point? Honestly, if you read the thread, this is all pretty apparent, in my opinion. It appears that you don't know the answer at all. You know what happens when you assume...

They just chose the wrong little alliance to attack. Justice: Maybe if you had involved yourself in the game a little more, maybe gotten into some of the politics of it you would a) not be bored with just collecting taxes and paying bills, and 2) know that just because an AA doesn't have a lot of people in it doesn't mean they aren't well connected. You couldn't have pulled this off if there were 500 of you. Or probably even 1,000.

Not a real question. There are two aqua alliances in SF and four maroon. And I'm not sure when any of the maroon alliances in SF have deferred IC decisions for OOC reasoning to aqua interests. Smear squad? haha I suppose it's fair to lump me into CSN. But I'm not government. You probably won't hear the same direct criticisms from them. Though given Cora's recent, even more appalling behavior, that may not be the case anymore. Hard to say. I collect more in a day than you will loot in a week. Hell I collect more in a day than you'll probably lose or destroy in a week (hell I probably collect more in a day than you'll collect in a month; especially this month), and I'll be happily filling up the coffers of the nations at war with you. And I'm not the only one.

Someone needs to point out to you that the treaty web these days is very multi-sided. There aren't just two sides. If we declared war on GPA because their government wasn't on at 2am to kick out someone with a mean name, we'd probably catch some criticism. I promise.

USN has been an enormous disappointment to me (and many of my friends on here). There have probably been bigger falls from grace in this game, even in recent history. But I just happened to be closer to this one as it fell apart and turned into something I didn't recognize. And it took a few really good players I had a lot of respect for with it. All because of personal crap. What a disappointment.
