11. Miss you homie, hope all is well.

 12.
Refreshing. Absolutely refreshing.
There is a lot more of us that feel this way. Unfortunately, people are always willing to point to bad news and shout from the roof tops what they see as negative... and take the positive for granted with little recognition. Anything can be altered and improved upon, what people need to realize? is that it is demoralizing to hear negative/whiny feedback over and over again... and motivation to do so goes right out the door after a certain point. To me, there is too much deliberation and back and forth when even the simplest of suggestions is made.
 13.
Well, I think if WTF asked, they could stay unsanctioned.
Nope, we tried and got shot down a few months ago before creating the second AA.
 14.
<snip>but the level of fawning in the thread is disproportionate when you have other top quality alliances like FOK involved in this. <snip>
Both the orange team alliances (FOK, RnR) that were suppose to be in this, aren't.
 15.
Besides, it's not like Mellonhead's in your alliance anymore.
Sweet baby jesus... why is it that so many of TOOLs membership in the past have this delusion that someone named mellonhead was a member of WTF? If it were possible to be more than 100% wrong, you guys would be it. Every player who has ever applied to WTF submitted an application, and EVERY application we've ever had for the last 4+ years is still on our forums. Go to www.worldtaskforce.com, create an account, email validate it, then learn to be friends with control+f and search for the truth. When you're done, please tell your friends. Inane comments like this are one of the reasons WTF members have made it a point to not participate in the OWF community. No offense to the bulk of you with opinions of us, positive or negative, based on facts. Back to your regularly scheduled programming, good luck to everyone involved, may FAN have mercy on our souls.
 16. Greetings to you, the ladies, gentlemen, and honored spin doctors of planet Bob. The WTF has a very short public declaration to make. Many of you already know this, many of you don't, most could give two @#&^s. The World Task Force has always worked to avoid being a sanctioned alliance, often moving members from the regular "World Task Force" AA to the "World Task Force Applicant" AA to maintain an in-game membership count of under 200 total nations. Being a sanctioned alliance just isn't our thing, the slight increase in problems along with the fact we don't find it an important position to be in makes it unappealing to us and actually helps to ensure that other groups who don't feel the same as us have a chance to be sanctioned. Instead of this previously mentioned constant juggling of membership, from this day forward the WTF will be operating under an additional AA besides the regular "World Task Force" one to ensure staying out of sanction. "World Task Force 2" is going to be that second AA. Creative? Nope. Fulfilling our needs to maintain our goal? Yep. In short, from this day forward, "World Task Force 2" is the same as "World Task Force". Nations flying the AA have all the same rights and privileges as members on the original one, and after the move has been completed in an undetermined amount of time, only nations applying to join the World Task Force will reside on the applicant AA. This move from the applicant AA will begin sometime today, after this announcement has been posted. This announcement is being made not because we feel its terribly important to share... but because recently we have had questions from others about our different AAs and we feel its best to get the information out publicly as opposed to privately in random inquisitions by our fellow alliances. We thank you all for you time, and wish everyone a safe and eventful weekend. Asa Phillips
 17. You're right, its most certainly OUR fault. Or maybe, if children weren't allowed to have computers until their 14th birthday we wouldn't have a problem either. EDIT: This is assuming of course you've followed this topic regularly enough to read that people are purposely doing this to push us into sanction status, when we have always taken efforts to stay out... save for when we wanted our flag in-game of course.
 18.
I think this is honestly the first time ever when an alliance who lost five-sixths of a point managed to push the Add Line up more than two points. But either the World Task Force wants to finally make some waves on the statistical scene, or there's some ghostbusting that's gone horribly wrong. Regardless, I'll keep the Drop Line at yesterday's value until we know whether this jump is an anomoly or if it's permanent.
People playing childish games, obvious multies or ghost accounts were created and added to our AA a few days ago as well as today. I can't wait till school starts again and the bored children that are allergic to sunlight have homework to do. Who knows if this is permanent or not. We picked up a large group of ghosts on top of it once we broke 200 nations today. Sorry guys. EDIT: We're coming for you VE!
 19. Again, I ask why "quadding is a tool that should stay"? Changes have been made to plenty of other more important aspects of the game... improvement have benefits increased/decreased, resources as well, even the donations sytem. Must the attitude toward the idea of the games entire player base relying on a 10 minute window out of 24 hours be so closed minded? I proposed to admin quite while ago the idea of email notification when someones nation is attacked, he originally balked at the idea and then implemented it a few weeks later. I doubt anyone can argue it was a bad idea, even though admin felt it was at the time it was suggested, so the argument that "admin says" doesn't really mean he's right does it? I imagine that last comment in your reply was unrelated to this topic, but rensitive to our respective alliances current war? It didn't really fit into the subject matter other wise and is fairly obvious information to any reader who is even slightly experienced. I did find it slightly funny tho.
 20.
Well, quadding is a tool that should stay.
Why? if this is an online nation simulation game, and no such thing exists in the real world? then why is it a necessity that it should stay? I've quadded more than my fair share of players in the past, I've even set my alarm to get me up after having been asleep after only an hour to do so with little concern at all. I can honestly say rarely ever have I been on the wrong end of a quad, so supporting it should be something I too would be for, but I'm not... because its not any type of simulation of anything in the real world, and I've seen what I've done to others using it. To have a completely mauled nation by the time my opponent logs on again I can imagine is more than a little disheartening. If quadding is a necessary feature of the game, then I don't understand why you have to wait 24 hours between launching nukes.
But the problem is in the fact that update is really inconvenient for the majority of TE's player base. In SE it's not so bad because wars happen less often so you may be willing to rough it out for a little while.
Truth.
As for donations, it is very possible to overcome them, I've never donated in TE and have been a top 10 nation a few rounds, top 5% majority of the rounds I played actively. The problem comes when a nation donates who actually knows what they are doing in building, as there are probably 5-10 in TE currently who know how to use donations and could effectively build up such a huge disparity in ranges that you can't attack them. There was one round where the OP nation nearly managed to do that but they couldn't anarchy me to keep me from hitting him.
Theres no +/- 250 range on TE? Even the top nation should have 250 nations able to hit it regardless of strength. The only things stopping that should be political positioning in regards to allies. Also, top 5% is nothing special, I've regularly reached that myself without ever donating and rarely ever even going after a perfect trade set, and even reaching top 10 ranked (position, not percentage) isn't special... unless you actually hold it. Were there any rounds you finished in the top 10, because we see the top ten nations turnover frequently during the course of a round and I'm sure most of them haven't donated, but you can be sure that all of the nations that finish in the top ten, barring any purposeful attacking of the top 10 at the end of a round, have donated at least once.
Point is, I think TE needs to have a variable update if you want to increase the number of participants so that they don't have such a huge disadvantage of being quadded and likely anarchied and destroyed within 2-3 days, once you're dead in TE once, the fun is usually gone for the entire round unless you're really prepared for the fight, or aren't looking to be among the top nations.
I agree with this 100%, if the idea of quadding has to stay. But a means to come up with a more fair update time for each individual is going to be tough and will more than likely promote rerolls like we've never seen before if its generated randomly. Especially if people are dissatisfied with their update time with one roll and their resources with another. Which is why getting rid of quadding is the more fair and easier answer and just making it 24 hours between attacks instead. Collaboration between members of an alliance will still be important because of ganging up on targets and coordinating attacks, it just makes it more reasonable for more people to be able to do so if update isn't part of the equation.
 21.
Have you guys fought anyone before us...? Your nations are pretty tiny for having a full round to grow.
Who are you asking? Nothing about your profile suggests you are a member of either side in this topic, or even playing TE for that matter. Makes it kinda tough to figure out who you're talking to.
 22.
To be honest, I'd rather enable a variable update so that each nation's update is hidden without spy ops and if you update strike someone then they could very well update strike you when you aren't paying attention. The advantage gets reversed.
Doing something to do away with the quad attack update advantage is a good step in the right direction I think if you want to take a military aspect of improvement, and doing away with donations or lessening their impact is one when you take a non military aspect. Lets be honest, people are competitive by nature. Some keep track of casualties, some keep track of nations put into anarchy, some keep track of how their alliance does, some keep track of tech and land raided... but the majority keep track of how they stack up compared to everyone else. Someone who may suck at the game, only need to donate once and they have a respectable set up, donate twice and they're bad $@! compared to nearly all of the players who don't. What do those non-donating players have to look forward to? doing well in the non-donators bracket?? No, sooner rather that later they're going to figure out they can't compete in the way they want to and they stop playing. The first round of TE ever had a tremendous amount of players, something like 6k I believe, and there was no donations.
 23.
They aren't doing it for you guys.
They know that.
 24.
That'd be reform.
Perhaps, but I consider sanction and the AA drop down menu to be separate entities myself... since the AA field has always existed in some manner for nearly as long as I have been playing, while alliance score and being sanctioned has not.
