1.
That looked more like "yes" than like "no" if those two words were directed at my suggestion.
You are correct lol. I actually cut my reply short because I realized how long it was getting. The easy solution to make it a "no" against any reform/abolition would be to simply eliminate the drop down menu in-game the way it is and make it one where it is completely up to the user to specify your alliance name if you choose to be other than "None".
 2.
The sanction system is in desperate need of reform/abolition if people are actively avoiding it.
Yes, and no. If an alliance could be sanctioned and NOT have their name in the drop down menu, (for every new player who sees a funny AA they want to set without knowing the problems they cause for others when they decide to test out the war system) there would be no need to actively avoid it. Admin was approached about this and his answer left no other solution. Lets be honest, what is there really to gain from being a sanctioned alliance other than the flag in-game? Prestige? Recognition? You all know who the political movers and shakers are, who the important players are and who those are who choose to sit on the sidelines. The score is nice, but being sanctioned doesn't really give you any influence or privilege in the game as opposed to not being sanctioned. Even the in-game flag isn't so great anymore, not when you can donate the low low price of 75 bucks and with a little luck just buy one of your own through TE. Hell, lets just see a "buy a flag" link go up next to the donation link and get it over with.
 3.
Aww yeah, I busted our ghost today. All I had to do was ask him for 50 tech or leave the AA
I like this idea.
 4.
Since I was only criticising his commentary and not the race update itself... no. (nice try but you need to be a little flexible with your catchphrases sometimes)
Oh c'mon, you know you'd do an excellent job of both update and commentary. Why hold out on the rest of us?
 5.
You were too tired to comment on a +0.44 gain but not too tired to comment on a -0.22 loss? Oh, sorry - I forgot which alliances we were talking about for a second.
Ooooh, do we have a volunteer for the next sanction race update then?
 6.
[s]So what you're saying is, being sanctioned is only for people who like to go to war?[/s] Everyone has problems with ghostbusting, just roll with it and start busting once you're at 250 members.
You mean alliances who go to war right? Because I've gone to war myself before on my own and liked it, and I'm a [s]"people"[/s]. And no, before the recent last two big wars, there were still plenty of alliances who were involved in CN politically who had yet to go to war... so to say they liked it before they had experienced it, or to suggest that WTF doesn't like to and thats why we don't want to be sanctioned, wouldn't be truly accurate. What I'm saying is, if sanction was important to you, but not as important to me with nothing for me to gain, and I could avoid it in favor of you having it while saving myself some time that could spent on other things, isn't it good for both of us if I did? Winner winner... chicken dinner in my opinion. A lot of people spend A LOT of time on this game, their efforts deserve to be rewarded more than someone who doesn't no? It's no secret the political movers and shakers work a lot harder then those who don't play in that realm regardless of how much they enjoy it. Just how I see it, many will quietly agree, many won't, just my personal opinion really. Maybe my outlook is different because of the way I look at the game and respect those who put in the time they do.
 7.
Well done WTF on sanction! UPN never wanted to actively try and hold on to sanction, we just wanted the flag. Enjoy sanction, I cannot wait to see your pip. =D
Thank you, but we have no interest in being sanctioned and actively work to avoid it. Being sanctioned can be a real-life time sink due to managing ghosts (which we currently seem to have a problem with anyway for some reason), but more importantly the bulk of us feel that sanction is more deserved as recognition for alliances who work to gain it while also being politically active in-game. We just play to play. Plus, its not safe nowadays to be a "none", so we all need a place to hang out. For us, sanction was only important to get our flag in-game, if there was a realistic alternative means of doing so? outside of donating real money to try to get the top nation on CN:TE in exchange for a collection of under 1,200 pixels, we would have never ever been sanctioned at all in the past and left it for the alliances who deserve the recognition.
 8.
WTF is 1 member away from sanction
Two now, we had a ghost who needed to be educated on how things run, still 3 others on top of that one too
 9.
I fixed the UPN difference on the main post. Sorry about my math, I was very tired last night while doing the update. I also do all the math in my head really quick to get te update done faster. I get 99% of it right. I think i'll just say that I'll do the updates when Gopher can not for now on.
Still an excellent job regardless. To take time out of your personal life to serve the masses who can't do the same is often under appreciated. Thank you.
 10.
You should sanction yourselves every few days, just to keep some one from getting a pip.
That would be a terrible thing to do  I remember how anxious the 10 day countdown process got when we were going through it to get a flag in-game. To purposely do that to another group would be mean. EDIT: Funny mind you, but still mean.
 11.
the war has started before then i was kinda busy putting 3 of your guys into anarchy
Yes I'm sure... because the 15 minutes it takes to conduct three separate wars with three targets out of an entire 24 hour period is obviously terribly time consuming. I imagine the other one thousand, four hundred, and 25 minutes were terribly busy as well planning your trip to the outer regions of the galaxy right? I guess reading a factual DoW and then being asked to be held to your statement (not the quoted poster, their alliance) you made after such DoW is a tough thing to do.
 12.
we attack PU. yea deal with it. <ADude> hey <Nascar8FanGA> sup <ADude> nukes..simple yes or no? <ADude> ? <Nascar8FanGA> h/o <Nascar8FanGA> no No nukes will be used in this war.
Obviously someone either doesn't have a grip on their fellow member nations... or just flat out lied in the first place.
Loony Bun (Benny Lava) of the Red team of the alliance Catharsis was attacked with a nuclear weapon by Indigno (Kaullin) of the Black team of the alliance Purple Unity on 3/19/2010 5:54:17 AM.
Lets make a note who stuck to their end of the bargain, and who didn't.
 13.
It was a hell of a fight going against catharsis last round ... and its an honour to fight along side you all this round! Lets give em hell... o/ AoD o/Cat
The love is mutual... forward!
 14.
The big question is: Will WTF take IRON or FOK's sanction with their next member.
Hopefully not, we keep sending new nations over to TDO.
 15.
Yeah, so, I wasn't able to grab warstats yesterday, so rather than taking stats now, tonight's post will just cover two days.
I really doubt anyone will mind that you missed a day, you do an awesome job that you never get enough thanks for.
 16. I believe it's an unwritten rule to keep residency in the state isn't it? Though I do agree with someone's previous reply of a bread taste, but I have to say that I don't always get that taste myself unless the beer is a bit old. Not an aficionado by any means, but Lager is a very safe bet verses most of the more nationwide/commercial brands when I go out.
 17. Hmmmmm, funny you should say that...
 18. This is my first full-fledged knock down drag out fight that I havent been bill locked! I rather proud of myself actually. Then again, I don't have much upkeep to pay since my nation lost like 2kNS lol... silver lining... silver lining...
 19. Congrats. And this has been a good time between AoD and Cat.
 20. Special thanks to Stefano of Polska for initiating this grand time for all. Although I have to admit, the fact that hisk paid this thread any attention takes away from the fun quite a bit. Especially since there was an obvious lack of his usual brown-nosing the side who was winning at the time of his reply.
 21. Hey, we're putting on a show for the viewers here... quality entertainment is what its about!
 22. We've heard that before... Just not from you. That dragon guy never backed up such bold statements No offense, but I hope you aren't (in this case) either. Stay up there TOOL, please. One suggestion? buy lots of CM's and no one will notice at all. EDIT: Yes, thank you gopher! Its been a while since I've posted that in here, but all of you who update this race for the rest of us never get the thanks you deserve for your selfless efforts.
