2.
Not to the point of stupidity but certainly to the point of strategy. From my perspective the strategic merit of our position is obvious. You know that too; just because everybody else wants to get hung-up on buzzwords doesn't mean you should overlook the logical aspect of the demand. There is, in fact, method to the "madness" and you know it. You simply don't like it (which is understandable)
I'm not in the business of taking lessons on PR spinning which is what this statement reads like. Why attempt to distract from the real point of Ram's demands to "lay down your arms" when it's so easy to see through? To me, Ram's demands only serve the following purposes:

Get IRON's top tier our of PM putting us "over a barrel" as it where
Take away IRON's nuke stockpile limiting our ability to fight
Feed Ram's ego
Get IRON to agree to unconditional surrender allowing you to claim it must not be so bad since someone agreed to it
Now folks can claim this is all meant to "break the cycle of IRON violence toward Gramlins" which is absolute BS since you have twice declared on us; Karma which was in direct violation of the OTP clause of your Citadel treaty and now which was nothing more than an aggressive bandwagon maneuver. To claim otherwise in either case is foolish and akin to putting a dress on a pig. Another excuse I've heard bandied about is that this is some sort of "test" for IRON. Again I can't see this as anything but another weak attempt to justify one of the most ridiculous requests in CN history. How anyone can remain allied to or friendly with Gramlins at this point is beyond me.
 3.
What I stated was that I would never "accept whatever terms were offered" If terms are eventually offered and IRON does not accept them that is their prerogative. Certainly after demilitarizing it may place them in a different position as the "bargaining table" if you will and it opens them up to a different risk. But there is no reason why IRON couldn't retrain soldiers, tanks, aircraft, CM etc very quickly should they find terms unacceptable.
Again with the deflection from the real point, it's not about soldiers, tanks, aircraft, and CM's. This is about top tier in peace mode and nukes; it's rather funny you fail to mention them in your statement. You are being intentionally obtuse to the point of stupidity now.
 4.
Our coffers are limitless, unless that is Iron decides to remove people from peace mode that have been there for over 60 days and have a war chest the size of my daily income
Well, you're a big 'ole slice of humble pie aren't you?
maybe if IRON or DAWN actually came to the gremlins forums and asked the questions that Lord Brendan has they would get the answers they desire.
[17:38] <RamirusMaximus|GRE> Tell Peron that it doesn't really matter how many different people he sends over to query me (or who do it on their own). [17:38] <RamirusMaximus|GRE> I have nothing to say to IRON until you surrender and lay down your arms. Huh?
O and how do i join the Ramerious hate group that seems to be forming, and what is your irc?
I'm not sure who that guy is, but sounds fun...
 5.
Between those God-awful Karma arguments and the present-day shens with IRON, Ramirus Maximus with a bullet.
Agreed 100%.
 6.
I apologize that your information has been incorrect and/or based on speculation.
Matthew, I sort of like you so it's hard to read something like this as it's pure deflection at its finest. I'm going to assume that you are incredibly misinformed as to the actual events that led us here since I don't want to believe you are intentionally lying about the situation. I think perhaps you need a new approach rather than three vague posts designed to deflect attention from questions being posed followed by another post containing false information designed to steer this conversation on a "better" course for you.
 7.
Matt Miller is outstanding, and IRON is fortunate to have him. However, he's now in PM.
Matthew, thank you for the kind words, but I just can't let the PM bit slide. I posted on these very forums several times asking why Gramlins weren't taking my last defensive slot. You yourself promised to find someone to do something about it. I even sent ingame messages to some members of your alliance asking what was up with the lack of declarations. After several days of no response to my invitation to a spot on the carousel my wars ended and I took the opportunity to break a streak of 64 days straight of eating nukes. I'm sure I'll be back in the action at some point and look forward to seeing what Gramlins does in a war where they can't play the jackal pouncing on the already outnumbered prey.
 8.
Everyone here running around crying about Ram this Ram that should know that he is not exactly worshiped in Gre. The main reason Ram got to the top is because he had/has very interesting and innovative ideas when it came to Gre and the politics of PB in general. Ideas that would make things more interesting and fun (as opposed to the current fake mtv girly drama). Most of us in Gre went along because it was something new, a challenge and a chance to do things differently. Sadly Ram has a great propensity of eventually messing up the process. The whole unconditional surrender thing is an idea along these lines. Its new, its interesting and its got all of your panties in a bunch. I dont think its gonna fly because usually the execution is far from being as good as the idea and because of Ram's inability to get others on board due to his curt methods. However, its still something different from the whole create-girly-drama-start-penis-contest-slap-each-other-engage-in-nerdy-"peace"-talks-recycle-repeat that everyone else is doing. You can whine and !@#$%* about the evil gremlins but as long as Gre has good friends, can defend itself and is having fun trying out new things thats all that is gonna matter.
Well it's certainly comforting knowing that there are 30 or so alliances still actually fighting and damaging each other greatly just so Gre can have some "fun" trying something "new." Perhaps you'll want to find a larger Petri dish for all of us to fit into for your little experiment. I wonder how long till Ramirus realizes this is a non-starter and then decides to ask for like 20k in tech instead. He'll probably claim it's due to a longer war timeframe... as if Gre has taken any real damage for many weeks now.

 10.
a new era of friendship and understanding between supergrievances and tidtt...
Please don't make me!
 11.
Aye, despite having Gramlins on our side... they have changed drastically and it is rather disheartening.
Is it odd that I feel common ground being built here between alliances that have had nearly none before?
 12.
Ram made sure that people that like him (or let him do whatever) are in power in gremlins/ can give him power/ side with him. This is a log from a few days/week after BobJanova left the gremlins. Most of the people that disagree with Ram, are now out of the gremlins. So... not much to stop him now.
Yet allies and "friends" of Gramlins still cling to a memory of Gramlins built long ago when they were literally a different alliance than they are today. That must make those folks feel all warm and fuzzy.
 13.
We were heavily engaged in the conflict; and we could be even more so. It's solely on IRON et al that we are engaged in few wars at present.
Yet here I sit with an open war slot and 25 Gramlins in range. But please, do tell me more about it being solely on IRON.
 14.
I might be naive, but is difficult for me to believe that GRE position will be sustained if it is not in agreement with all the alliances that are fighting TOP/IRON.
I tend to agree with you here. However, here we all sit still tossing nukes at each other day after day. I personally could do it forever, but I think this war has certainly run its course for both sides. I look forward to an actual conclusion soon rather than simply words. However, asking DAWN and IRON for unconditional surrender is not productive in the least.
Lol, no i wont be there. It would be irresponsible of me to take up a slot that could be filled by someone with more tech and military/mil wonders. (boy do i sound cowardly) And this just reminded me of something i read earlier, i believe Ejay said that most, if not all, Gremlins had respect for their IRON opponents in Karma. This is true for the most part in this war as well, I have respect for every IRON nation i've fought, and every Old Guard nation i've fought. I'm sure those who fought Zenith and DAWN as well also have a level of respect for their opponents. I think this will be my last post in this thread, i feel like i've interacted with the OWF too much for one day.
Perhaps this guy could do it then since he's in range. Unless he's busy captaining the Exxon Valdez or something.
 15.
The one IRON nation in my range not in peace mode is Matt Miller who currently has his slots full, and if asked, Gre would gladly supply a nation or three to fill up his slots, i know we have in the past months.
I have a slot opening up at update so I eagerly await your personal declaration. Although I seriously doubt you'll be there. Also, for the love of admin don't send Marc Aurel for a fifth round, I don't have the heart to tell him that if spying away someone's last 5 nukes doesn't work the first 40 times you try it, it probably won't work the 41st either. Also I'd like to say thanks to all the patient folks out there that are currently caught up in this situation we all find ourselves in due to some ego-tripping. To that end, I'd also like to say sorry to Ramirus for not acquiescing to your never-ending demands for IRON tech farmers post-Karma. I'd like to hope that has nothing to do with where we currently find ourselves, but crazier things have certainly happened around here.
 16.
Firstly, he isn't doing the bragging. Other people are commending him. Secondly, the people who are commending him are doing so for kicking $@! in 6 wars against much stronger nations. I'm sure the damage he's dealt far exceeds what he's taken.
I made sure I commended him for being willing to fight but I'm sorry kicking $@! is just false. Stats of the only attacks that are really interesting from he and I this round: My GA attacks on him I won 13 of 16 (11 of 12 after the first night) My Air attacks on him I won 12 of 16 His GA attacks on me I won 5 of 9 His Air attacks on me we split 5 of 10 each Though he did fairly well I'm not sure there was much kicking of anything.
 17.
Meh, Ima have to get some more Oyababy reports in here.
I could help with that, but I'm not so sure you want me to. o ya baby certainly deserves some respect for spreading himself around as he did with 6 wars. For that I give him props.
 18. Seeing Orange alliances part ways never looks good to an old-timer like me. Best of luck to both FOK and TOP.
 19. Oh no, the spelling police are in town! On a serious note, congrats to ODN on gaining admission to CnG. I know this has been a long-term goal of yours for some months so it must feel good to reach it. Also, congrats to the rest of CnG on gaining another member into your ranks. I have little doubt you are all a good fit and I expect this block to last for quite some time.
 20. I'm quite happy to see this and I'm looking forward to helping foster Krynn's growth.
 21. Welcome to the neighborhood, let me know if IRON can do anything to help you out.
 22. Almost 24k infra and 7k tech were destroyed during the one month of war and I then spent 3.5 months sending out rebuilding aid and reps funding with almost no incoming tech.
 23. There was a time when I was a young IRON member that I actually looked up to you. Since then, I've seen you reinvent yourself again and again through your time in the Orders, Vox, TJO, etc... and I'm left wondering if you even know who you are as you sit there passing judgment at seemingly every turn. Honestly, Doitzel, don't you ever get tired of pretending that your opinion is somehow more relevant than any other rulers in this game? Shan Revan was and still is one of the great members of IRON and is a great friend of mine. He will be missed on Council, but is certainly not irreplaceable. Shahenshah has gone through some growing pains of leadership just as the rest of us have upon our ascension to a government position. He is better for it and IRON is better for it. I have no doubt that you care to do anything other than belittle his ability in your newest attempt to poke at IRON. Take a look around most alliance government members and you won't find many that have never regretted a forum post or IRC comment; I know I do. I would think you of all people should understand that. I am extremely excited to have dvd joining Council and I look forward to working with him as he will no doubt be a top notch Secretary of State. Why thank you very much.
 24. I've lost 30k infra and 10k tech via war over the years and I think I'm doing fine these days. I've never once requested any sort of war aid or rebuilding aid (which would just be ludicrous at this level). It's pretty easy to rebuild once you have all the wonders and as my Mars wonders keep aging I guess it will just keep getting easier. I'm not sure I'd still be here were it not for the Karma war, but if I were I'd be over 250k NS with near 30k tech and approximately a 12 billion dollar warchest. All of these things may not have happened since like I said I may have been gone by now. The Karma war definitely served to keep me interested in the game so I'm glad it happened on a personal level.
