1.
800m? For shame. The war machine is a might overrated.
If you only knew... it's been like shooting fish in a barrel for me. I think all this unconditional surrender / ESA amendment nonsense was really just a way to justify being an annoyance to us and act holier than thou while they suicide in game. I don't think all of the Gramlins felt/feel that way, just some.
 2.
Not when you're the Ramlins; and if you hadn't noticed, it's currently ruining them
I'm having quite the chuckle, especially now that I'm seeing what some current Gramlins think of Ram. *Matt points to his sig quote. Apparently running some tech imports allows you some leeway in the lunacy department.
 3.
Ram, do you still wish you could amend IRON's old terms to decry my alliance?
I'm not sure what the best part of that amendment nonsense was, the fact that NSO was listed on it or the fact that "pretty much everyone" actually meant "mostly nobody". I'm sure both of those were the responsibility of someone other than Ram; what an utter joke.
 4.
I'm sorry, what is this?
Clearly a terrible idea.
 5.
Claiming bragging rights: I just ZI'd Ramirus. It's about damn time.
Don't forget we little guys that contributed a bit too.
 6. You have handled this quite well, brothers. Best of luck moving forward.
 7.
... which is pretty much precisely what I said in the "New Gremlins" thread.
Well I would say your current course of action is an equally pointless endeavor. MPK, do you have any additional information about Ramirus' claim that all of CnG has given their official support to the proposed ESA amendment?
 8.
For the record (and I may be late on this one), the only person from MK who could officially support such a statement at this point in time - that being me - did not. I've yet to even be approached about such a possibility (although I have heard about it from others in passing). That said, the victorious assemblage of alliances could have required an admission of guilt and culpability from the surrendering parties as part of their terms, but the inherent lack of sincerity - after all, they'd essentially be doing it with a gun to their heads - makes it a largely pointless endeavor.
SW, thank you for confirming yet another lie from the mouth of Ramirus when he said that all of CnG had given their official support of their proposed amendment to the ESA. I'm left wondering who if any have actually given their support.
 9.
It'd be pretty silly of them to go along with it, just as there are those of us who don't like the idea of setting precedent on something like unconditional surrender, setting the precedent that terms can be added to after they are signed is also something nobody sane wants let out of the bag. Even aside from that the offer of an amendment to the ESA is both stupid and insulting. Its stupid because gre has a self professed paperless FA, yet want a documented changed to suit their desires, har har. Its insulting because the offer acts like Gre has a bargaining position at all. A month ago it might not have been as obvious but its clear as day now, clear enough that even Ram admits it. Gre is dieing. They aren't just losing this war its killing them. The status quo will result in the annihilation of his alliance through his own ego. Ram shouldn't be demanding terms, he should be asking what they are. An alliance owed reps can forgive them without modifying the treaty, if the treaty establishes a "debt" the owed group can simply forgive said debt, adding to a surrender term after the fact is a far different proposition, worse what if everybody but the defeated party likes a new change, they agreed to surrender terms already and now they are going to change? Is it ok to go back to war to force an amendment on them? who would ever surrender under anything other than white peace if they could not be sure the terms wouldn't change on them? It opens a can of worms nobody should want to deal with. Its another attempt by Ram to introduce ridiculous political maneuvering with no thought what so ever on how it might affect anything other than what hes looking at right now.
This is a very good summary of why Ram's current idea isn't going to happen whether he likes it or not. It is also Day 91 of IRON/DAWN offering White Peace to the Gramlins.
 10.
There is a possibility of course that the voice of reason from friends has finally registered with the Gremlins and hence the slight change from the previously stated position. Whatever an individual nation's stats chart may look like.
I wasn't implying that my war with Ramirus had anything to do with this whatsoever. Perhaps the voices of reason should talk to him about a complete cessation of hostilities without any sort of amendment. That would actually be productive and bring this war to an end.
 11.
I went and checked a PM exchange between Ram and I on 10 May and here's what he had to say about my suggestion at the time:
No, an amendment to that silly peice [sic] of paper would be even more of a mockery, because IRON would only be paying lip service. There is no way, of course, to guarantee they actually mean it when they apologize. Unconditional surrender however establishes a formal and concrete admission that they deserve to at least have their allocution compelled.
So why the change of heart? Why was it a mockery back then but not now?
Why doesn't that laughable piece of backtracking surprise me in the least? Pathetic.
 12.
You do know that some of us are actually adults with a little more knowledge than the average college kid you seem to mistake us for? Since you did not answer my initial question, I have another. Why did you consult virtually no alliances on the losing side about your proposal to amend the surrender terms and, instead, wasted days (weeks?) consulting with the winning side? It comes to reason that your former coalition partners wouldn't oppose an additional term meant to further humiliate us. What you needed for this term to ever see the day was exactly what you never attempted to get: our approval.
Because that's how Ramirus works. He probably started working with those on his "side" that he felt closest with, once he gained their support he slowly worked on others. Now he'll start putting out feelers to people tied to but not actually part of the alliances on our "side" that he wishes to see sign. He'll hope to convince them slowly, in private query of course promising the whole world is behind his wishes (or at least the weight of certain large alliances). He'll continue pedaling his !@#$%^&* to anyone that will listen until finally he hopes to convince TOP then IRON/DAWN. Feel free to see if this is how things play out. I may be completely wrong, then again maybe not.
 13.
Most of our allies have privately congratulated us for keeping them all beat up and in shambles. That wasn't and isn't our goal, but it's no skin off my back.

Top 7 Day Smallest Nation Gains 1) -38,627 Strength Change - Ramirus Maximus of Anthraxia - Aqua Team
The irony may kill me.
 14. I just love the irony in the fact that a supposedly paperless alliance has now turned toward wanting a host of alliances to not create and sign a piece of e-paper but to alter one that is already in place. So which is it, are you paperless or not? Also, trying to use the "we're not signing it, you are" argument will not hold water should that be the next item on your talking point list.
 15.
It does look that way, but it's hard to believe that anyone could be that craven, even after the last three months of idiocy...that IRON's strategy of attrition would end up at his doorstep has been evident for a month and a half or more, so you'd have to think that he'd have had plenty of time to consider this eventuality rather than having a change of heart within 24 hours of being declared upon. But if it really is a single Matt Miller nuke -- not the departure of many long-time members nor the deletion of several others, nor watching fellow Gramlins held at ZI for weeks at a time, nor a threefold reduction in strength, nor the utter destruction of Gramlins' image -- bringing about the epiphany that unconditional surrender ain't gonna fly, it would be a pretty fitting end to this nonsense.
I don't think him starting to back off of his position (of almost 3 months now) has anything to do with me. I don't give myself that much credit. Ramirus is many things, a coward is not one of them in my opinion.
 16.
Why are Gramlins top nations just sitting there doing nothing? I thought they were at war with IRON & DAWN. The good news is ramrod is in a war now, for some reason he wasnt in a hurry to attack someone himself even though this is his war and the war that will kill his alliance. Bye bye RamWedge.
I'm seeing the Gramlins war policy of do not attack, only defend yourself if attacked as predictable behavior now. It's much easier to claim you were only trying to help IRON find forgiveness for our "sins" and "redemption" through contrition if you use these battlefield tactics. The crosses are nearly finished and ready to be comfortably climbed upon in the near future.
 17.
Best war declaration ever! ROFL One key nation on the way down I'm saving up nukes for the next two on the hit list. I love the bright green glow in the morning. All is right when your enemies are alight. .
I hope to read someone give me a history lesson about the fiddle not being invented until hundreds of years after Nero's death. Use your imagination on this one guys.
 18.
At least ram was finally attacked.
We'll see if his tune changes, I doubt it.

 20.
Perhaps I should have said "in the past month" or however long it's been. But yeah, you did your fair share of fighting.
My last wars expired 4 days ago, details here. I'm still very much involved in this.
 21.
Indeed I am! Wonderful news that once your attack comes, final ending will be reached faster than before this very useful intel! I am only fearful that your (over?) carefulness will become your doom
In a weird way you are growing on me...
 22.
Between now and the time I made this post, another nation left Gre. IRONically, it was one of their active ones, albeit a smaller one. Gre total NS on 5/21: 1,950,000ish Gre total NS now: 1,405,364 Change: -544,636ish Another one is 24 days inactive. It kind of appears like Gre is taking all the fun out of CN for their own members. Can anyone think of another reason why so many perfectly good nations in such a small alliance have been letting themselves get deleted? Their deletion rate seems far higher than it would be, statistically, for such a small member count.
I have talked to many former Gramlins that left since the signing of the ESA as well as some current members. Most of them think what the Gramlins are attempting is ridiculous and want nothing to do with it. Some of the current members even claim they will not fight this war at all even if ordered to do so. Lord Gobb should be most happy for IRON/DAWN in this regard. Additionally, FH merged into the Gramlins several months ago and soon the last of them may be gone from CN. I wonder how it feels to essentially be responsible for disbanding and deleting an alliance that was your friend and ally. Perhaps someday Ramirus will give us the answer.
 23.
2 more nations down, kindly update your blogs.
At this rate Ramirus is bound to back off his unconditional surrender stance (which has made him the laughingstock of CN) very soon. I'm sure he'll come up with something else that he'll claim is exactly what he wanted all along and have his cronies try to spin it like a Gramlin victory. I just hope he's man enough to do it himself instead of sending someone else while he sits in the corner with his tail between his legs.
 24.
Well at least there'll be 1 IRON nation in the upper tier that's actually going to declare.
Hey, hey, hey I beg your pardon sir.
 25.
Why this thread still exists?
This thread still exists because DAWN and IRON refuse to surrender unconditionally to the Gramlins and the Gramlins refuse to accept white peace from DAWN and IRON. We are at an impasse thus the warring between our alliances continues.
