Wrong We never planned to leave this early until we were ASKED to leave instead of doing the staggered resigning by the overtaking MCXA government. I can even remember Francesca being among those Also, we are not crying, we are trying to correct some misconceptions, you seem to hold even now. This is where you are wrong. Forming parties was strictly forbidden within the MCXA, thus it does actually amount to a "mild coup". The HC elections at the MCXA were personal elections, you did not get elected for some party you stood for, but for you alone.

I will not engage in the discussion within this thread, simply because I happen to respect the MCXA and do not want to involve them while they are busy rebuilding and used to like and respect Francesca. But I just wanted to adress the DoE and our split-off, once again, being the one who is largely responsible for it. The DoE in the way it happened was never supposed to happen and it is my fault that it happened, could I turn back time I would probably change it, but I cannot, so we will have to deal with the cards we were given by fate and coincidence. Francesca, I like you (ooc at the very least), yet I find spying largely distasteful. The difference between us and you was that when we no longer liked the direction the alliance (mainly internally, as in atmosphere) was going, left it for the alliance to go it's own way, while you spied from within it trying to "change" things, I for one was closely considering quitting the game when I first heard of the idea of TSO. The TSO idea was really only about 3 days old when it was leaked, I dont know wether the P91 boards got deleted yet, but their creation date should point to that fact

Thank you I agree that some behaviour during the Coalition war were borderline (on both sides), emotions were running high for some, and in retrospect one can only apologize.

If we cared about the opinion quite some people have of us, we would have disbanded and left Planet Bob a long time ago, as much as you might want it

Firstly: Would you support an ally who declares war for you without asking you? Secondly: Is it not every members right in an alliance with "freedom of thought" to leave in pursuit of a different place to call your home? I am not saying that our Creation was a glorious thing, our DoE and everything were in fact the greatest mistake I have made in my time in CN, but you cannot blame us for leaving, only how we did it. I thought a break of Q would eventually come, but I gave it a few more months. Oh, be assured we would have liked to sign some other treaties at the time, but the alliances we signed treaties with wanted nothing to do with us, often not even giving us a chance to explain. I think that is what gave us the final wake up call to how treaties should be like. I personally wont sign a treaty with anyone I don't know and like enough to go to ZI for, and seeing as it is within my powers to veto a vote, that means TSO will not. I am not going to comment on the TOP part, as I have not witnessed TOP as being opportunistic aswell, and to the MCXA part, I was in government even then, and while yes, it could now be seen as opportunistic what we did, it was really necessary, from a democracy point of view. The membership of the MCXA wanted to see blood (I am talking about the Polar War). Even if it could be seen as opportunistic, the Government had no other choice on the matter, and I personally felt the emotions that lead to the split between NpO and MCXA aswell. I respect the new NpO government now, and in retrospect would probably do some things a lot different, had I had any power other than being one of 13 High Councillors back then. But meh, in hindsight you are always wiser. That's it, and if you don't mind I wont respond anytime soon again, as I got some things to do (ooc: RL )

This topic is not about The Sweet Oblivion. Did you know this war would happen in exactly this fashion 80 days ago? That was when TSO was founded, TSO was first discussed about 10 days earlier, that makes it three months. Seriously, three months ago, would you have considered Q going up in flames? Without all of the departures (except Gre and FOK)? TSO has no other treaties because we only want to be treatied to those we consider friends we would go to hell for, TOP is that friend for us, TOP helped us when noone else would listen, and risked their own PR for it? Does that look opportunistic of them? I don't think so, it would have been a lot easier for TOP to just give us up and watch us go up in flames, instead they stood by us and that is friendship. We have this friendship, symbolized by our treaty to TOP. We want no treaty without this kind of friendship.
