Sargun II
New AGS flag and insignia At midnight, July 1, 2009, Artemis Global Services re-entered the world as a public company. With the use of trillions of dollars from an older Nordic deal, Artemis has continued to fund projects through our older territory Palau, including one of the largest stadiums known to man. We also contributed billions of said trillions to the White Cross, and used the remainder to keep ourselves afloat while burning through cash like never before. However, after months of intense internal debate, restructuring and legal proceeds through the world, Artemis has decided to emerge public again. CEO Evan Hiley and CFO Sargun Peaceheart, the two most powerful men in Artemis, have taken on a new direction for Artemis. Artemis has already secured bases in the Hanseatic Commonwealth and Bavaria, along with pursuing bases in the UMS and the Dragon Empire. In addition to "mercenary" services, we now offer diplomatic, humanitarian and excavation services. Edited July 3, 2009 by Sargun

SpacingOutMan
"We deny these accusations that the UMS is looking to harbor mere mercenari--" the voice was immediately halted and whispering ensued. ... .. . . .. ... "We look forward to pursuing business with Artemis as we discuss possible options in the future in regards to bases." A slap could be heard in the background as the whimpering of the High Envoy could be heard as the communication link cut off.

Acts of war by agents not comprising forces of a recognized, independent nation state (such as mercenary work) is an act of terrorism, one of the acts which Glorious Aotearoa defines as a war crime. So, let it be served, that your presence near our borders will indicate your wish to enact such actions, and so you will be removed as quickly and violently as we see fit. LeVentNoir
Hm, has Artemis shown any tendancy to committing 'war crimes' and 'terrorism'? Yes. We have explained that mercenary activity is a terrorist act, under Aotearoan law, one of the War Crimes punishable by death. We have explained our laws and logic already. A trial from Aotearoa - one without a chance to defend yourself - is about as valid as a statement of peace from the old Nords. This is a trial on the charge conspiracy to commit terrorist acts. Advertising for mercenary actives from their own mouths was found to be damning evidence, and the defense did attempt to portray this company as a nation state, however, 4/5 judges moved for a guilty verdict. Subtleknifewielder
Being a mercenary, in and of itself, is a dubious profession at best in Promised Land. However, it is not an outright forbidden profession. That being said, we warn Artemis that entry into our lands is at your own risk.
DeSchaine
We fail to see how mercs, being paid to fight battles for a nation/state amounts to terrorism. For our part, we welcome AGS and invite them to talks for possible rendering of services.
Subtleknifewielder
A nonexistent trial that Aotearoa only mentions when convenient is still a nonexistent trial. Undoubtedly they tried you in absentia, though if they had really been trying to be fair, they would have at least tried to notify you to send a representative to such a proceeding. We are professionals - if we were to back down at the first sign of an unimportant nation throwing its weight around (such as Aotearoa) we wouldn't be where we are today. Justinian the Mighty
As I recall Artemis Global Services was one of the forces involved in the invasion of Slavorussia. Paid by Nordland, working side by side with Nordic soldiers during one of their last unjust wars. We will be monitoring this group’s activities in Europe very closely, and we hope you choose better friends this time around.

OOC: Unrealistic RP is still unrealistic. IC: When within our territories, all people are under our jurisdiciton. Perhaps Artemis doens't know the basics of law? Given now the company believes itself to be such professionals, it would be wise enough to avoid our territory.
