How easy do they clog up. I was thinking of them being used to slice tendons and skin rather than actually cut some one in half or cutting a limb off. So it would be a quick slash with the chainsaw like a blade rather than digging it in and slashing someone in half.

The same thing can be done with serrated combat knives, except without batteries.

Yes but the pic doesn't have a serrated knife on it and I go with what you see in the pic is what you get. So it has to have the chainsaw unless it is impossible for it to work.

The Gears of War chainsaw gun is not compatible with real life (Similar to ODST pods). Just because it works in a video game does not mean it has a hope of working in real life.

Any reason why it won't work the only problem is I can't find a lancer pic without the darn chainsaw being attached and I hate saying this is the weapon but ignore this part or that part.

Hmm it seems something like it has already been made though it looks weird and yes it really works acorrding to the website and no I won't be making these for my nation.

You could use that "Pimp my gun" application and make your own using existing guns.

Thing is they look too clean and modern in that application. I kind of need a gun that looks battered around or scrap made you know to represent the fact that my nation has only one or two factories running at best.

Qucik question on low-flying satellites:

How low does a low-flying sateelite go, and how low would it need to be to produce the pictures in this post and be shot down by a missile/airplane?

Some of the lowest flying modern satellites orbit at 700 or so Km. Most fly much, much further away, between 20,000 and 357,86 km. So you really can't just shoot one down without specialized weaponry. It's not impossible, but a third world Nation couldn't do it, and you would be able to tell where it came from with a certain amount of ease.

Use MS Paint or a photoshopping program.

Would Marquis Chris have the means to do it?

How effective would a fixed barrel be on a modern day tank, assuming it only needs to attack in one direction/fire at one target. The cannon can move up and down.

-Would it be effective in a charge?

-If the cannon/cannon-mount could move slightly left and right, would it be far more effective and worth the additional cost?

-What options would it open up if switched to this? In other words, what advantages would it gain, if any, over a normal tank.

-Because its fixed, could it be more useful having two cannons, or just other weapons (like missiles or RPG's)?

The tank would be preferably useful in long range attack and close range assault, withstand close range fire better than a normal tank, and good to defend with (because it can move backwards and still be quite effective). I'm mainly doing this to figure out if I should bring back the Diberian tank or not, which had 2 fixed cannons to fire forward.

The only issue is if the enemy tanks attempt an ambush and attack your dual fixed cannons from the sides or the rear.

I'd suggest placing regular tanks behind the dual fixed cannons as a protection.

This is assuming that it is an all-out attack. Diberian forces are/were trained for guerrilla warfare and making/uprooting ambushes (the foot troops mainly), but they lacked a really good offensive vehicle (until they made the first Diberian tank). The troops can 'easily' defend the tank at close range and from small-arms fire (the tanks won't be in the immediate front in tactical circumstances, with infantry all over the place in WWII Russia style); the tank just needs to destroy other vehicles at a longer range than the other, while still tanking a beating.

Yes, I'm aware of (some) of the disadvantages to it; I just wish to know exactly how bad it really is from a knowledgeable person on this subject (i.e. Voodoo Nova).

However, I may just end up building B1 Centauro's.

Anyone know anything about Wankel Engines? For my latest vehicles, I've been using 1100hp engines in groups to get ~3300hp for the Steinhammer-G. Il Terra told me on MSN that there were some problems with it that he couldn't wrap his head around, and that I should ask the community what they think. It runs on natural gas, and he says the main issue is just the RPM, but I think I can just use gear ratios to solve that.

Let's just assume that CNRP magic fixed the sealant problems. :P

What would the effect of a H&H .375 full power round have on the human body compared to a 7.62 or 5.56?

I know the H&H is designed to punch straight through the densest part of an adult African Bull Elephant skull, I also recall a round punching further and exiting out the back, but I'm unsure about that...

Also, what if the victim had body armour? What about if he had Lynneth's or Lavo's body armour? :P

Which one is/will be better, Israel's Trophy or the US's Quick Kill system?

Israel's Trophy system is more "mature", aka more developed than U.S.'s Quick Kill system. Unless if you want to RP the development of the Quick Kill system and allow it to be in full combat uses, I'd go with Israel's Trophy system.

I am planning on RPing the development of a type of AA missile that doesn't exist in RL. The missiles use chemicals that will generate extremely strong flash of light to blind enemy pilots instead of the typical high explosives. The AA fireworks missiles are designed to increase the chance of other AA missiles being able to neutralize their targets.

The missiles have small containers of high explosives inside the larger containers of the quick light generating chemicals. When the missiles reach close enough to a target or a cluster of them, they ignite the small container of explosives to spray the light generating chemicals in all directions.

Three types of chemicals that I will be RPing:

1. Flash bang: Instant powerful light generation means instant stuns if the enemy pilots are close enough.

2. Slow flash bang: The chemicals linger in the air, rapidly reacting. It will last between 3-4 seconds to extend the time the pilots will be blinded, but the light generation isn't as strong.

3. Sticky flash bang: The slow flash bang's chemicals are combined with another type that is extremely sticky, distort light waves, absorbs some of the light that passes through the windshield, and will ruin enemy aircraft's engines by clogging up the intake fans. The end result is extremely bright globs that will last between 4-5 seconds. If they land on the windshields, it will extend the time the enemy pilots will be blinded and will give the enemy pilots a more difficult time seeing through the windshield. If they are inhaled through the aircraft's engines (which will mostly will occur), then the end result will be clusters of falling aircraft with engine failures while being chased by AA missiles.

The AA fireworks missiles are not designed to be used around allied aircraft. They are only used in AA defense activities when allied aircraft are not present.

For 3, if you you can hit a plane with sticky-globs, why not just hit it with a missile?

The fireworks/sticky goo missiles only need to fly faster than their targets and be in front of an enemy aircraft before exploding. It is harder to dodge missiles that will explode around 20 meters in front of you than missiles that need to slam into your aircraft.

Besides, seeing your buddies struggling to pilot their aircraft and massive flash bangs does a good job of demoralizing enemy pilots, especially when their windshields are going to be messed up, blinded repeatedly, and struggle with clogged engines.

Though I just realized that it would be cheaper to load the explosives dumb missiles that simply ignite at a random height during an enemy's massive aircraft attack rather than using the active homing missiles.

--------------

Here is another type of AA missile I plan on RPing the development of:

Revealer: Just like the sticky slow bang, except without the quick light generating chemicals in them. Instead, it has a much weaker light generating that last up to 24 hours in a total darken room before running out of reactants to generate light. It glows neon green during the dark, the darker the surrounding area is, the brighter the glow in the dark chemical glow. The brighter the surrounding area is, the darker the sticky goo gets. It also has the ability to reflect radio waves very efficiently and can even emit its own radio waves due to small radio wave emitter capsules in the goo, giving other AA missiles or allied aircraft a better chance of tracking and shooting down the marked enemy aircraft.
