...An Idea Who's Time Has Come

Disclaimer: The opinions expressed in this blog are solely those of Loki Laufeyson and not those of my alliance, House Baratheon, or any other entity.

For the two years I've been a part of the CN community I don't think I've seen this amount of stagnation, degeneracy, and decline. The continued oppression of micros and neutrals at the hands of the upper-crust alliances, the downright hypocrisy that runs rampant in CN politics are all things that drive valuable members of the community away. I sadly admit that I am also guilty of these things, and before I go any further I would like to apologize. The only thing I can ask myself and my fellow players is "how did we let it get this far?" "How did we fall from a prosperous and thriving community, to a dreadful place where trolling and idiocy are the order of the day?" If you ask me, it truly is a shame.

CN needs a revolution. Point blank, period. I cannot be more serious. The overthrow of the upper-crust alliances by the underprivileged in CN society, is a necessary action that must be taken. Now I know the same hypocrites who claim to want to bring change to CN, will read this message of revolution and scoff at it. I do not know whether or not it is because they have nothing better to do, or if it is because of the person delivering the message. Regardless, I laugh at each and every one of you (you know who you are) and I think that your type are pathetic.

I seriously hope that each and every one of you, especially the micros and neutrals, are able to figure out who your true enemy is and unite before it is too late. Rest assured, a storm is coming to CN. With all the power TPTB have, they will not be able to stop the idea who's time has come. Thank you.

The thing you need to understand is that the micro's, neutrals and the players with no alliance are there for a reason and it is not because they're super active.

You're not going to rally people who don't want to fight into a fight against impossible odds.

While the idea is cute. it is a fantasy situation.

CN is a virtual environment and that restricts how much you care and how it effects you.

In a real world situation I'm sure you could raise support for causes if there was good enough reasons being supplied.
But a real life comparison of what you're doing is comparable to trying to start a revolution by inciting disabled and brain dead people.

Loki, you have to play the game to win and what you're doing (or attempting to do, Im not entirely sure) isn't playing the game.

waving his pitchfork and lantern at the tanks rolling over the hill

lol just as I pictured it

Basically all the upper-crust alliances.

Kind of a cop out answer, but okay.

You still have not answered the more important part - what would you want done (i.e. changed) after we won?

Don't give me a basic BS answer this time. You want a revolution - you need a clear vision of what the fight is for other than "lets get X or Y" out of power.

Basically to bring about equality among the upper-crust alliances and the micro alliances. So that the micros get an equal amount of respect, that the upper-crust do. If the upper-crust chooses not to give us that respect, than we'll take it via revolution.

So GPA, the largest alliance in the game who also happen to be neutral, are not active? This literally makes no sense at all. Regardless this isn't IRL, so nice red herring but it is irrelevant.

...You literally just stopped making any sense there.

Seriously, how doesn't this make sense? Shouldn't there be equality between micros and the upper-crust? Don't micros deserve just as much respect as other alliances?

You forget that Cybernations is a POLITICAL simulator. That means that it's not about what you deserve, it's about what you want and how much of it you can take, and right now, you are in no position to take anything.

Loki's heart is in the right place, but micro-alliances could only truly be united through conquest, and since they are micro-alliances in the first place I don't see how that would be in their interest.

Revolutions are simply an exchange of power from one set of hands to another. Successful revolutions have strong ideologies to vindicate their actions, but more importantly, leadership that is capable of holding all the disparate revolutionary interests together.

Thus, a successful revolution of CN MUST include the "upper crusts" and powerful alliances, and the direction that would take is towards a new hegemony.

No mention of the goals of this new revolution of course.

Can you seriously not read?

I saw a bunch of stuff about new hedgemonies etc., but nowhere did I see the specific goals of this revolution. If anyone cannot read, it is you. You haven't exactly been flooded with support here you know.

They may be active but I specifically said "super active".

That was not really a remark about a particularly alliance but more of a observation about neutrality and such in general, TDO was not exactly super active either.

The other part is actually very relevant.

As human beings, we should be trying to change any environment we're in. Be it the real world, or a virtual one.

Read the actual blog, I think I've stated the goal of the revolution several times.

So we have a goal that is in no ones interest, led by someone who has no experience and definitely no idea what they're doing and simply ignores anyone who points out the flaws of this fantasy?

You're a joke. People are gonna read this, laugh and go on with their day. That's it.

In case you didn't notice, I was talking to Tywin, who I had thought was proposing another revolution. It turns out that he was speaking hypothetically.

Uh, let me see..

NO

You get respect by earning it, you don't gain it simply for existing.

Even if this "revolution" actually happens ( and I bet my right arm it won't) and it actually succeeds (bet my left arm it won't) then what? All that will happen is the lower class will become the upper class and the upper class will become the lower class.

No, there will be equality and mutual respect.

NO You get respect by earning it, you don't gain it simply for existing.

Which is why we will demand that respect, even if it means fighting for it.
