It probably wasn't offensive to most people. I didn't even watch it except for her clip after all the news about it...but from what I hear, the show was rated for 14+ , and I think most of the offended parties were parents who had their kids (yes 14 is still a kid) watching it thinking it was ok because of the rating. Imo, the material was not ok for that rating. It probably should have been 18+. Regardless of whether or not it is offensive, it really is silly to see someone acting like that, she really cheapened things up. I bet her daddy is so proud of the show she put on that night What a nice role model for the young ladies these days.

True that, and so many already have. Thing is, I don't think people always consciously choose a role model, we are influenced by many things in many ways. Many young girls know Miley as the innocent Disney star Hanna Montana, now she has graduated to...I'm not sure what I'd call it... XD

The judgement/gossip industry is bigger than the entertainment industry it reports on. Everything outrages them, delights them or both. Lady Gaga/whore = good. Mily Cyrus/whore = bad. The sad part about the whole thing is grown adults follow this crap at all.

But the problem is theirs still; to condemn Thicke is to condemn Miley, anyway. To congratulate Beyonce is to congratulate Miley. The idiocy of postmodernism allows them to have their cake and eat it too vis-a-vis "but there's no man on stage wtih Beyonce!" but people with brains know it's all garbage. Trash is trash is trash.

My friend, you seem to be saying that a group you labeled "American liberal feminism" and that would adhere to no morality would have decided that women "must" act like men.

I'll start by asking to you how you identified that group: Do they have an association or do they gather in some geographic/Internet place, or anything like that? Or do you group them based on their behaviour? Or how does it work?

I have this sensation that your hit missed the strawman that you had built.

And yes, condemning Thicke is condemning Miley and it's condemning Beyonce, but the point isn't about condemning the people that are on stage, it's about calling out those that selectively condemn them. You're looking at the moon when you should be looking at the finger!

At this stage, I think Justin(e) has bigger teats. I don't know who designed Cyrus' workout regime, but she went from having some nice curves to looking like a teenage boy. The hairstyle similarly isn't making it.
