Peoples of the Cyberverse,

With the announcement earlier tonight of a defense pact between Ragnarok and Polaris, it has come to my attention that Penguin (hater of cute puppies) has attempted to unceremoniously remove me from my rightful position as Imperial Regent; opting instead to replace me with the pretender Dajobo.

The Emperor of Polaris holds no power under the Charter of that alliance to dismiss the Imperial Regent; he merely holds the power to appoint one. Therefore, I hereby denounce Penguin's actions as wholly illegal and in opposition to everything the New Polar Order stands for. In light of his actions, I decree that Penguin is an enemy of the Body Republic, and am therefore obligated to declare him removed from the position of Emperor.

It is not a decision I take lightly, but the Emperorship of Polaris is a mantle I must nevertheless assume, if only to keep it safe from those who would abuse its powers.

(PS. Penguin hates cute puppies like this one)

Having not read the charter myself, and seeing that you are an expert, may I ask whether the document restricts the number of people who hold the office at one time?

"The Emperor is empowered to appoint an Imperial Regent to conduct affairs in his/her absence and an Imperial Liaison to represent his/her interests on the Council and abroad."

That means Penguin can appoint one regent. The big question here is did Penguin appoint Gopher, or did Gopher appoint Gopher? If Penguin did, we've got a problem. If Gopher did, both should be considered regents.

I also hope no problem arises that requires Penguin to appoint a new regent to replace Dajobo, since he can only appoint one and has already done so. Appointing a replacement would involve appointing a second and that can't be allowed.

You're all wrong. I'm the Emperor and Penguin is really a remote-controlled robot Penguin who does my bidding. :awesome:

Also, I gave this version of Penguin the ability to fly. It makes him happy.
