1. Hello there, Digiterra, it’s been some time coming. The Alternian Empire bids you, the Nations and Alliances of this little planet of yours, to celebrate our Arrival. Some of you may welcome our coming with open arms. Others may cower in fear or raise their arms in anger. It does not matter to us. Some of you may have wished to prevent our arrival. But, how can you stop us when we are already here? We have been here for some time; quietly observing your ways, your customs, your habits. Learning what we deemed necessary to thrive within a hostile and primitive environment. Now, we are ready. Now, the armies of the Empire have begun their inexorable and unstoppable march towards victory. The Empire is here. Your shit is wrecked.
2. The decision of the Nodic state to launch an aggressive war against the Sovereign Initiative proved to be its undoing, and its eventual collapse left a massive vacuum in the region traditionally known as the Sudan. Midst the disintegration of Nodic and Aeonic government control, with the news of direct South African and Athenian intervention, native Sudanese government and military officials began taking the initiative to establish an independent Sudanese nation. Working with Athenian military troops and personnel, officials under the leadership of Umar al-Jaafar established the Provisional Command Council for National Unity, shortened to the Provisional Command Council (PCC), to administer the Sudanese regions until new elections were held. Shortly after, in the city of Khartoum, Jaafar proclaimed the establishment of the Republic of the Sudan. Elaborating on Sudan's rich history and recognizing the achievements under the former Nodic regime, and lamenting the recent war, Jaafar promised to bring in a "new era of peace and prosperity" for the Sudanese people. He stated that elections would be held in due time, and that a new constitution would be promulgated. He went to state that the old Nodic police and military forces in the Sudan were in the process of reorganization, and stated his desires to "establish and expand friendly and amicable relations with the international community," particularly with the Athenian Federation and South Africa. Behind him, a new provisional flag was unfurled. It was the Sudanese flag. All former Nodic and Aeonic flags were systematically taken down and replaced with the new flag.

4. Welcome to BobBound; Cybernation's first interactive Declaration of Existence (as far as I'm aware)! Here's how it works; between now and the DoE, I will be organising a RP-filled background-laden story leading up to the official DoE. Its elaborate and entertaining nature should hopefully give some background as to the nature of the Alliance, as well as the folks within it. All comments made in an 'action'* format may be selected and will have an influence on how the plot unravels. This adventure is being mirrored offsite as well, so some outside suggestions may also be included. TLDR: YOU control the story. This will probably lead to horrible consequences, but I'm willing to take that chance. *Actions look like this: Directions like this can be used by the author (me) to select a character as the main focus, or make things happen inside the story. When character is selected or set, you can then tell that character to do things. These can be used to alter character behaviour and make things happen. That should be all the info y'all need to make this thing happen. My next blog post will basically start the adventure and bring everyone up to date. Adios, toreadors!
5. ...Is something that is eagerly awaited by all, but I’m here today to present something new: My dearest Gentlebeans and Doolywhops, You people really know how to drag a war out for as long as possible, but today, at long last, we are able to stand here and present ourselves as a collective union. After two months of careful planning and waiting in the shadows, we have decided that now is our moment to emerge. We are a group of friends who have come together to create a home for ourselves where none existed before. We are not simply an alliance, we transcend your universal norms. We are a brotherhood dedicated to a single cause, the spread of chaos and destruction. Our members come from various places within this world, a collection of the familiar along with the unheard of, and even some people brought back from the dead. We welcome all who decide to grace our ranks, and we strive forwards towards perfection. Perfect chaos. Without further ado, after what has felt like an eternity, It gives me great pleasure to present the Charter of Chaos. I am also pleased to be able to announce the first government of the Brotherhood. 6. It had begun in Montevideo, a nationalist movement amongst the common peoples determined to forge their own nation, free of foreign control. Within weeks, it spread like wildfire, reaching every corner of the territory that made up the region of Uruguay. Thousands were vocal in their beliefs for a new nation to be born, a nation for the Uruguayan people. It all culminated in a massive rally in Montevideo, where tens of thousands came together in Plaza Independencia, the most important square in the city. It was here that they demonstrated their wish to form an independent nation. It was here that one man stepped up to the plate to lead this movement, a man by the name of Victor Ontivaro, a native of the city. He gave speeches both at the rally in the plaza and afterwards, further stirring up the locals' desires for nationhood. Finally came the day that the local leaderships of the various towns and cities scattered across Uruguay came together in Montevideo to declare their formation of the Uruguayan Republic, an independent state in South America. A national election was held, with Ontivaro winning in a landslide, becoming Uruguay's first President. At the innaguration rally, Ontivaro gave a lengthy and quite hammy speech about his goals for the future of the Republic and where the road Uruguay would go down in the future, to greater glory.
7. After a long, well-ordered and well-maintained period of government under the relatively gentle rule of the Mexican government, the Mexican protectorates suddenly found themselves without Mexican patrol forces backing up the militias and police that kept order in their provinces. Fearing a sudden outbreak of instability and violence, a meeting was hurriedly called for among the leaders of the territories in the former United States. The meeting was to take place in Raleigh, North Carolina, to establish and ordain a new union for the defense and furthered security of the now-independent provinces of former Mexico. Industry leaders, contractors, politician and community figures from across the provinces flocked to the city’s huge convention center to discuss the fate of a region. Others came, too. Seeing the AUP falling down quietly around their ears, President Stratton and her people began to look abroad for new opportunities – they had turned a region around in a little over four years, bringing it from near-anarchy to a truly unified, well-industrialized region. Plans were set in motion to petition the Union of South Africa to absorb the nation, adding the older nation’s industrial might to a neutral power not affiliated with the Sovereignty or the Unity Pact. With that done, the President quietly left her office and she, along with the rest of the mercenary contingent she had arrived with, quietly made their way back to the old United States, looking to secure new, more powerful horizons. Another septet of visitors followed quietly behind her in a passenger liner, all the while changing their identities once again. That group was nothing if not careful. With the date set and the meeting called for, all there was left to do was to wait for the delegates from the countryside over to arrive. When they did, they arrived in their fives and tens, whether due to budgetary carpooling or bringing an entourage, bringing with them vast and varied opinions from across the entire possible political spectrum. One or two closet Nazis, a dozen or so Communists, a smattering of hidden Imperials, Texans, and a thousand others. When all was said and done, there were 1200 representatives from across the newly-independent territories at the convention center, and more than 300 armed guards protecting the facility while they went about the business of creating a new nation. While several nations made their presences – not unwelcome, but not invited, either – in the regions that would hopefully make up the new nation known, the movers and shakers that drove them exchanged pre-summit pleasantries, testing the political waters and furthering their own agendas. Stratton and the rest of her mercenary band made their way ashore, setting up shop in Florida while Elizabeth herself went to Raleigh, arriving just in time for the ushers to announce the beginning of the American Provinces Unity Summit. The organizer, a Chicagoan businessman by the name of James Carnegie, called the attendants to order. “On this day, July the Fourth, Twenty-one Sixty-three, the American Provinces Unity Summit shall come to order. We in attendance are the leaders of the regions left unattended by the fall of our Mexican friends and their government. We cannot allow our communities to fall into anarchy, without the support Mexico provided to us in the form of state police and troops; we must, therefor, resolve to police and arm ourselves in the name of stability and freedom. While each of the communities and interests represented here could do so on their own, it would leave all of us vulnerable to outside influence and foreign incursion. As we speak, other nations on this continent are making our business theirs. While I’m sure they believe their intentions are noble – perhaps they even truly are – I also believe that we should at least make the attempt to govern ourselves. Is there anyone among us who would contest this?” There was silence in the audience assembled before him, and James’ lip twitched, his salt and pepper beard crinkling minutely, before he schooled his face back into its former serious, professional expression, and he shifted his feet behind the podium whose mic he spoke into, before going on. “Good. With that piece of business out of the way, and without anyone contesting our continued independence, I’ll cede the floor to Ellen Richards of North Carolina.” With that, the tall, trim, middle-aged man stepped away from the podium, his hazel eyes meeting the woman’s own green eyes as he stepped away, taking a seat on a chair on the stage. Jade was nervous, beneath the makeup, face appliques and hair coloring that had changed her into someone completely else. Her red hair – hallmark of the Lithaen family – was turned a dark black, her pixie cut grown out and laid across her shoulders, carefully ironed in waves that went down to the bottom of her shoulder blades. She could have worn a false, colored contact that would make her eyes something other than the bottle-green they were, but she had rejected that suggestion of Andrew’s –after all, she wanted people to trust her, and that was mildly difficult to do when the windows to one’s soul were obscured. She stepped up behind the podium, drawing a deep breath and releasing it, careful not to let it be seen by the other attendees, careful not to reveal her moment of weakness. She smiled, showing off a bit, dialing up the charm as high as it would go. “Ladies and gentlemen! Hello, welcome, and thank you for arriving on such short notice. I can only imagine the havoc this has played on your schedules –“ she said, though she knew perfectly well what a crisis of this magnitude could do to one’s orderly, tidy plans, “and it’s a credit to all of you that you managed to make it. Let me begin by stating my intention here at this convention – I fully intend to, hopefully, bring together a union of states, not unlike that of old, from the purviews of those gathered here today. Together, we present an amazing industrial and economic power of our own right – our communities come from across the spectrum of old American and Mexican industrial, scientific and economic communities.” She said, giving waving a hand to Carnegie, and giving a nod to the representatives from Los Alamos. “That being said, all that power and industry, all the drive and knowledge means nothing if it is not united. I believe that we possess the capability to govern ourselves – and since we possess the capability, we should exercise it, and with all due haste. I leave the details to further discussion, but this, this one thing, is critical. We must not allow ourselves to fall into disarray, or to be split among the factions here and elsewhere across the globe. Thank you for your time, and God bless.” She said, and stepped back from the podium, just in time for a blast front of applause to reach her ears. Under her makeup, Jade blushed. But above the makeup, Ellen merely smiled. The Imperial Princess made her way off stage, happy in her act. It took several days, but within a week, a rough draft of the Constitution of the Republic of American States was sent back into committee, and within the month the final draft was submitted to the communities that would make it up, outlining their new homeland in exquisite detail.
8. Capitol Building Mexico City, Mexico Citzens of Mexico, we will not stand idle while the land we've toiled to create falls apart due to a lack of a functioning government. The accomplishments of our forefathers were vast and without comparison in these lands. We built a thriving nation full of technological and social wonders that were viewed with as the envy of the world. But the days of our forefathers glorious have long since past... we've all bear witness to the gradual degredation of our nation over the last few months. We were not shocked to hear of the regimes collapse, how could we be? It is thus, that we began planning for such an event in the lower house... we drafted our plans for such an event with remorse. With the aide of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, and many others we have drafted the constitution of a new government to lead the nation into the future once again. To create a perfect Republic for the peoples of this land, and to restore the glorious history of our past into the present, and future. It is as such, that we the former members of this defunct government and prominent citizens of Mexico humbly declare this nation as not defunct; but rather reborn as the land of the República de México. We hereby assert the claims of our former government on the lands of Mexico, Cuba and extend our rights to reclaim the protectorates of our former state in Central America. We have heard word of the rise of successor states in our former Northern American holdings and give our blessings to the native peoples of those lands to forge a government of their own peoples. Over the next few months we will begin working on the restoration of our nation and opening up diplomatic channels with the nations of the world once more. Dios bendiga a México! 11. If you came here looking for either porn or a box of chocolates then go away. This particular announcement does not have to do with either of those things. But, it does involve the alliance I represent, Central Powers! You may have heard of us from the recent dealing with Tom Riddle (AKA Winner12345 >_>) in which we ever so lovingly disposed of him, like garbage. This post is not about Tom (Thank God!) so I will try to make it rather short and to your convenience. We are new, and we are dropping it like it's hot, so, there you go, we are officially in existence. Happy Valentine's Day! ...And now a short history of Valentine's Day! ...Meh, here's a link: http://www.history.com/topics/valentines-day  INFORMATION IRC: NONE, we have a chat box on our forums. I highly entreat you all to visit! :) Team: Multicolored! Like a boss! Forums: centralpowers.forumotion.com And here is a message from our sponsors: The Constitution of the Central Powers Preface This constitution has been set forth by the nations of the Central Powers in order to establish justice, maintain defense of the alliance and its members, promote general welfare, ensure economic prosperity, and above all to kick ass. Section One: Government Structure Article One The Central Powers’ executive government consists primarily of a “diarchical” leadership where two leaders, titled as kings, will have rule over the alliance. Article Two A congress of the alliance will be formed that will vote and propose new laws, amendments, etc. This body of members will be host to the majority of the alliance’s decision making. Article Three Four primary departments will be the gears of the alliance. They will be the engine inside of the machine, so to speak, and will consist of Defense, Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Internal Affairs. Section Two: Government Functioning Part One: Overall Functioning Subsection One: Departments Article Four Departments and ministries are the engine of the alliance and are what keeps it going. The default ministries (Finance, Defense, Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs) of the alliance will be set in place and cannot be removed. These ministries will be run and organized at the discretion of the minister that is appointed with a unanimous decision by the Kings. A minister may be removed from power at any point if deemed necessary by a single king, but it is highly encouraged to have the will of both Kings. Article Five When the time comes the alliance will need to expand, so, if the time and set of circumstances require it, a King may make a proposal to the Congress to create a new ministry or department. This will only need approval of one King and will need the approval of at least 2/3 of the congress to create the ministry. The created ministries will run like the basic ones, with a minister to run them, but the difference is that they may be removed with the approval of at least one King and at least 2/3 of Congress. Subsection Two: Congress Article Six The congress of the alliance will be composed of nine members, providing for 2/3 votes. Congress members are elected in once every two months at the discretion of a public vote. The votes will take the length of 48 hours and will be set in place 48 hours before the start of the new month. Any number of members may run for a position as a congressman, but those who don’t run will vote for up to four candidates. Candidates will not vote for themselves. At the point of the poll’s closing they nine candidates with the highest amount of votes will be automatically elected into the congress. Any congressmen may run any amount of terms after their first, if their popularity will support their vote. Article Seven A congressman cannot be impeached or anything of the like. They may only be suspended from their duties by a King. Their terms will only end when the two month expiration date arrives and the new congressmen are elected in. Subsection Three: Diarchy Article Eight The diarchy consists of two kings who will run the alliance and make all executive decisions. They serve for life or until a formal resignation. If a King resigns then he will name a successor whom will take the place of King. If he does not name a successor then the other king in power will name a successor. Article Nine If there is serious incriminating evidence of a King committing crimes against the alliance or making unrespectable actions in the view of the alliance then a king may be removed with an 8/9 vote from the congress and a successor will take his place. Article Ten If and when the alliance goes into any sort of military war with one or more alliances then in an emergency situation a single King may make decisions within the boundaries following: Organize any military attacks, and give approval to any nuclear attacks upon the enemy alliance. If a king decides to make such decisions and 8/9 of the congress sees that what decisions he made were the wrong decisions to make then he may be removed from power and a successor will replace him. Part Two: Decision Making Article Eleven All decision making of the alliance (with the exception of departments, See Article Four) will be made by the Congress and the Diarchy. This will include decisions such as inter-alliance diplomacy, large-scale domestic issues, etc. Subsection One: Foreign Affairs Article Twelve If the alliance seeks to sign and put into place with another alliance a treaty then they may, but only with the approval of both Kings, 2/3 of the congress. However, the ministers’ approval is highly suggested. This pertains to all treaties. Article Thirteen If the alliance is provoked and is in the mood to go to war then they will do so at the behest of both Kings, 2/3 of Congress, and the approval of the ministers is highly suggested. If Central Powers wishes to go to peace then the approval of 2/3 of the congress and one king will be needed. Subsection Two: Domestic Decisions Article Fourteen Expulsion can take effect to anyone besides the Kings. To expel a member from the alliance (which consists of entirely removing their membership status) requires 2/3 vote from congress for it and the approval of one King. Expulsion of a member may be proposed by any member of the alliance. Article Fifteen Any member may propose a policy or law to the congress. This law may not interfere with any standards set forth by the charter or any higher law. For it to pass it must have approval of 2/3 of congress and approval of both kings. Article Sixteen Any member may make a proposal to the congress to add an amendment to the Constitution of the Central Powers. In order for it to be ratified it must have at least a 2/3 vote from the congress and approval of both Kings, no exceptions. Article Seventeen If a member commits ghastly crimes unto the alliance or its members then that member may be placed under ZI, or PZI (Zero Infrastructure, or Permanent Zero Infrastructure, respectably) with the approval of both kings and 2/3 of the congress. Section Three: Membership Article Eighteen Any member of Cyber Nations may apply to become a member and will be accepted into the alliance depending on their history, reputation if any, and any other information that they can provide to the alliance. Article Nineteen Every member of the alliance has their rights. They have the right to speak their opinion, and the right to any starting level jobs the alliance offers. Discrimination is not allowed and any who discriminate will be punished, depending on their actions. All members will be treated equally and fairly. Article Twenty If a member so chooses they can leave the alliance at their sole discretion, and with no opposition. Closing This constitution is of highest importance in the Central Powers and may not be changed in any ways, except for the addition of amendments. It renders all other laws below it null and void. There will be no other law higher and the alliance must always run according to the constitution, for it is our only hope on Planet Bob. Signed by the Kings of Central Powers, lordofdeath96 and Emperor Wilbers

13. Hi! I'd like to announce the creation of a new alliance called the League of Nations! The League of Nations was officially founded on 1 January 2013. The alliance was formed to promote free trade, economic growth and global security. It works towards developing the economies of its member nations, securing resources through trade and providing security for its members. The League of Nations is protected by the New Polar Order. Forum: http://cn-leagueofnations.webs.com/ The Charter I - Membership Admission • Any nation may apply for membership. • Nations that are involved in wars and apply for membership are not guaranteed military or financial assistance until that war is over. This will vary in different situations. • Nations that are granted entry will receive a starter pack of 3 million dollars to assist them in their growth or needs at the time. • Information relating to nation growth and alliance policies will be provided to each nation within the first week of their admission. • Nations will be expected to complete a very simple application process. Soon after they are expected to sign the alliance Charter, thereby agreeing to the alliance's policies and committing themselves to its obligations. Expulsion • Any nation may be expelled from the alliance, if a policy has been breached. • Nations that have violated a policy will be asked to justify their actions but in most cases the nation will expelled. • In some instances nations that have violated alliance policies will be allowed to negotiate the terms of their expulsion depending on the circumstances of their violation. • In rare instances the League of Nations will declare expelled nations as an "enemy of state" and may declare war upon these nations depending on the individual situation. II - Government • The government's decision making process is largely democratic. • Every nation has the right to put forth an idea or express their views on issues/problems. • The President of the alliance is the head of the government and leads the executive branch of the government and is the commander-in-chief of the alliance's armed forces. • The Vice President is the alliance's second in command. The Vice President works closely with the President and fulfils his duties and responsibilities when he is unavailable. The Vice President is the first person in line of the President's position and would ascend to power upon the resignation of the President. The Vice President is chosen directly by the President. • Any decision that the President makes, must be met with the consensus of the Secretary of Domestic Affairs, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of Finance or the Secretary of Defense, depending on the decision or policy that needs to be made or changed. • For an issue to be brought to the attention of the executive branch of the government, a nation needs to notify the Deputy Secretary of Domestic Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Finance or Defense depending on the issue. These members will then notify the Secretaries of each area, who will bring up the issue with the President. The President and Secretary can either ignore it or bring it to the attention of the legislative branch of the government (which consists of 3 elected members). These 3 members are the final step of passing, changing or repealing laws. When an issue reaches this branch of government it will be dealt with on a fair voting system in which the majority win. • Each Secretary, Deputy Secretary and the members of the legislative branch of government each serve a term of 4 months before being able to apply to be elected again. Elections last for 4 days and each member of the alliance can apply for leadership or vote. • The number of terms an elected official of the government can serve in a row is 2. • As well as the positions of the executive government there are several other lesser positions available. These officials would serve under a particular department. In order to take up this position nations must contact the Deputy Secretary of the particular department they wish to join. Depending on the department these officials take up roles such as recruiting, diplomats or bankers. III - Defence • An attack on one member nation is seen as an attack on all. • Each nation commits itself to protecting each other. • Nations will not attack other nations or alliances without direct permission from the Secretary of Defense and the President. • If the government decides to go to war nations are expected to play their part and follow orders. • If a nation feels that its orders are unfair or unachievable it can contact the Deputy Secretary of Defense who will negotiate the terms of their orders. • Nations are prohibited from attacking on or spying on other nations without direct permission from the President and the Secretary of Defense. • Member states who decide to go rogue and don't follow orders will be expelled and dealt with in a severe manner. • The Defense Department will attempt to provide all nations with assistance when requested. • Nations may only use nuclear weapons if they are targeted with them by their opponent. When this occurs nations are expected to communicate with the Deputy Secretary of Defense immediately and hold off further attacks until spoken to. IV - Trade and tech deals • The alliance works towards developing the economies of its member nations and securing resources through trade. • Nations may trade with any nation of their choice, apart from sanctioned nations or nations which are considered as an "enemy of the state". • If a nation is after particular resources which it cannot secure in the global market it can join an alliance trading circle or trade directly with another member nation. • Nations can also join tech circles which allow them to sell or buy tech for a negotiated price. V - Aid • Nations who are damaged through war, or feel as if they would like some financial, technological or military based assistance can apply for aid. • Nations can apply from a range of aid packages depending on their needs. These packages can be negotiated with the Finance Department. • Depending on the nation's situation and the aid deal it chooses it may or may not be expected to pay back the aid it received, during an agreed amount of time. VI - Roles/Positions • Nations can apply for government roles/jobs at any time. Jobs such as recruiting new members for example, will always be in need and provide good financial rewards. • As well as this, nations can also apply to join the executive branch of the government, during elections.

Their elected leader General Bambang Hendarso Danuri will serve the first term as the nations president with a small cabinet of advisers at his side. The party has gained the support of the people of Sumatra and Borneo in the name of Communism and workers rights. The first thing the government will be focusing on is the industrialization and restructuring of the two islands which have for long gone unattended to. We prefer either. Both are perfect in their own way. Please join us... we welcome you into our collective. Together we are stronger, more perfect. Resistance is futile. We are currently protected by Viridian Entente, and through them, we will gain further perfection. Public Charter of The Borg Preamble We the nations of The Borg come together as one, with the will of creating a great alliance in the Black Team of Cyber Nations. We understand that only through assimilation to The Borg are we able to achieve greatness and perfection in the universe. In the spirit of this creed, the principles we promote in The Hive are those of friendship, mutual growth and defense. With this document we set the foundations to this great journey. Assimilation Any nation ruler may apply to be assimilated by The Borg. Applicants should not have active wars nor belong to another alliance, they should not be on a ZI list or have debts not settled. The applicant should register on The Borg Forums, which can be found here. Once the ruler register to the forums, signing up for assimilation is accomplished by following the instructions given in the assimilation thread, which can be found here. After receiving approval, the nation sets its nation AA to "The Borg Applicant". During the application period, the applicant will receive information on the specific nation requirements The Borg sets and will accept those or end the application. The nation will be assimilated as a Borg member after a period of no less than one week and no longer than one month or alternatively, if the nation doesn't comply, the membership will be refused. An assimilated nation sets its AA to "The Borg". Government The Hive Mind is the ruling body of The Borg. It is formed by The Borg Queen and The Overseer. This body is in charge of all the decision making in The Hive. The Borg Queen is the embodiment of The Borg. She serves for life or until resignation. The Queen is a permanent member of The Hive Mind and she supervise for the well being of The Collective. Under special or rare circumstances The Queen can use the Royal Prerogative to appoint or demote members of the government, accept or expel members of The Hive, void treaties, and nullified electoral decisions made by The Hive. The Overseer represents the will of The Borg to evolve and achieve perfection. He serves in that position for life or until resignation. The Overseer is a permanent member of The Hive Mind. In coordination with The Borg Queen he supervises for the well being of The Collective. The Units consist of different groups of drones assigned to serve the various needs of The Hive. Each Unit is administered by a drone who has proven his/her capabilities by doing different tasks. This drone is elected by The Collective by a simple majority to serve for a term of six months. The drone once elected can select another member to serve as his/her Proxy. The Networking Unit is managed by The Engineer. The Unit is in control of all the inner aspects of The Borg. This include but is not limited to assimilation efforts, inner-communications, the forums, graphics and the collective state of mind of The Hive. The Regeneration Unit is managed by The Scientist. The Unit is in charge of the regeneration and evolution of the technical and biological abilities of The Hive. To comply with their mission, they audit, trade and administer the transfer of technology and aid to the drones. The Enforcing Unit is managed by The Enforcer. The Unit's responsibility is to defend The Collective of inner or foreign threats, and to destroy all type of resistance to the will of The Borg. To fulfill the various needs of The Hive, The Resistance will audit, prepare and train the drones. The Unit would also supervise over the expeditions and would coordinate with allies in the event of wars. The Exploration Unit is managed by The Pioneer. The Unit's purpose is to explore the Universe in the search of new species. Even though it is in The Borg's nature to assimilate other species, they can also open channels of communications with the intention of establishing alliances that could benefit The Collective in their quest of perfection. The Unit is responsible but not limited to establishing new alliances, maintaining existing alliances and managing the channels of communication with other species. Brain Trust are drones who serve as advisers of The Hive Mind. This group of trustees consist of drones who previously served in the government or drones who have great experience of The Borg and/or Cyber Nations. Even though they are fundamental for the operation of The Borg, they don't hold any actual authority over The Hive. War Policy Declarations of wars are made by The Hive Mind. 16. Greetings nations of planet Bob! I come before you to to announce the rebirth of the North Star Federation, the NSF was originally founded by Gabriel Carver and Dre15 back in July of 2007. Since then there has been 2 other versions of the NSF, each one of them having very different communities yet managing to keep the same values and traditions. The NSF began to reform after most of my citizens within my nation started committing mass suicide due to extreme boredom. Since then we have managed to gain a member everyday and we've been lucky enough to pick up some returning nations who were available to fill in the government positions. So we are finally back and we plan on sticking around this time. We have a great new community that still sticks to the core values of the previous incarnations of the NSF, comradeship has always been an important aspect to the NSF and we are here to prove that we are not a bunch of nations together under 1 banner, we are friends who are wanting to get through this challenge together and turn the NSF into something grand. 17. Her Majesty Queen Laura Stuart stands today, to declare the existence of the Kingdom of Pasloe. Her first declaration was one of Free Trade - a request that other nations engage Pasloe with trade, so that both may prosper. Economic barriers were low, making it a great opportunity for all to prosper. Her second was similar to the first - a request for open diplomacy between Pasloe and others, so that all may bask in the grace of Paslonians. Thus ended the declaration. Queen Laura Stuart
18. (OOC: Per EM's approval, I will be RPing in Botswana, Angola, Namibia and Zimbabwe as the Confederacy of West Africa. Please wait to post until after I've posted the public DoE with the flag and declaration in it. This first post is merely backstory.) Gaborone was a wasteland, a shell of what it had been a hundred and sixty years before. Few people bothered trying to live in the city anymore, as the gangs which haunted the place made scratching out a living as a scavenger or salvager almost unbearably difficult. It was into this environment that a quartet of slightly-oversize Stryker APCs rolled, into the outskirts of the ruined city, passing burnt-out husks of cars and buildings on their way inward. Every so often, a gang would get the bright idea of rattling off a burst of gunfire at the APCs – which promptly blew them away with autocannon and machinegun fire. The gangers quickly learned that to travel into the range of the convoy of black-and-red vehicles was to die a horrible death at the hands of the gun crews, if one was stupid enough to fire on them. The quartet eventually arrived at the former Botswanan capitol building, debarking from their transports in a clunk of semi-powered armor, a particularly large specimen of a man exiting the personnel hatch with his visor up, a lit cigar perched between his lips and a GPMG held in one hand. “Well hell.” He muttered, a distinctly American Southern accent issued with the words. “This place ain’t anythin’ but a ghost town.” “Yes, but it’s our ghost town, now.” Said a particularly black woman wearing a less massive version of the same armor, helmet exchanged for a dark navy beret. Her accent was something more Australian, revolver GLM cradled in her arms. She quirked a slim, dark eyebrow at the huge man. “Don’t tell me you actually expected people to stay in this hellhole, Dante.” The man grunted. “I guess not. I reckon this place fell to anarchy right quickly. Still, you’d think some damn fool would’ve at least tried to claim the place. All this steel could make a guy very, very rich. Start his own empire-rich.” “Which is exactly why we’re here, isn’t it? Recon Three reported the Treasury vault was still sealed and probably still full of gold and diamond.” The woman said, grinning slightly nastily. “With that kind of finance in hand we can rule the place. The outer communities we’ve run through want to be part of a country – so let’s give them one.” “And we all get filthily rich in the process, of course, Margaret.” The man drawled, an eager look carved into his scarred visage. “Of course.” She said, smirking. “But none of that will happen until we get inside and find those diamonds.” “Then what the hell are we waiting for?” ~~~ Meanwhile, in the former capitols of Namibia, Angola and Zimbabwe, similar infiltrations were underway, teams setting up explosive charges in the countries’ sealed treasury vaults, blowing the doors open with the power of advanced plastic explosives. The recovery teams strode directly past the now-worthless paper monies and directed themselves towards the precious metals which made up the true value of the nations’ currencies. There were other vaults to be blown – private as well as governmental – but the treasure trove of diamond and precious metals were already amounting to a truly monumental fortune in today’s currency, even without having begun to salvage the old, still-useful steel that made up the cities themselves. Dante stood in front of a smallish steel crate packed fit to bursting with gold and silver, running the ancient coins through his fingers, testing the smelted bars in another crate with a hammer and screwdriver. “This crap is pure, Margaret.” He said, inspecting the gold. “My God, there has to be several billions’ worth of gold in here.” “That’s exactly what we’re going to need if we’re going to get this new country up and running, Dante. “ she said, popping open a small box of gold, half-dazed. “Just why in the hell aren’t we taking this and runnin’?” he groused, stubbing his cigar out on the lid of the steel grate and lighting another. “With this we could all retire and live like kings and queens.” “Because, if we build up our own country when we own the industries, we’ll make more than this will ever be worth. And we’ll have power. Power we can actually wield, power greater than just having money will grant us.” She explained, looking up from her box briefly to catch his eye when she began to speak of power. His face shifted – he liked the sound of actual power. “Just think about it, Dante. A whole nation’s military at your disposal, with all the firepower and toys you could ever ask for.” She said, dropping her voice and pushing his buttons, stoking his love of all things that go boom. “All right, damnit… I’ll be along for the duration, if that kind of reward’s on the table.” He said, taking a long drag on his cigar. “But I’ll be bookin’ it if this all goes south.” “Don’t worry, Dante. I’ve got this all figured out.” she said, shutting her box's lid. ~~~ Many of the various tribes had fallen back to their internal power struggles, the struggles which the nations of old had attempted to end. They fought and warred amongst eachother, killing indiscriminately and destabilizing the region as a whole. The Confederate movement was slow to catch on - very slow - but once it had, it exploded, spreading like a wildfire throughout the savannas and deserts, the plains and hills and mountains. The original, small group of five hundred troops swelled, growing to seven thousand within a week of the movement's explosion, and thirty thousand within a month. For the first time in far too long, roads were actually patrolled, and the violence of the tribes and gangs slowed, finally nearly coming to a stop. Margaret started a company, the West African Mining and Salvage Corporation, and put the region's destitute inhabitants to work, tearing down the old cities. Her partner Mgombe Naganda built new buildings practically the instant she had torn down the old ones and salvaged what was useful. Under Margaret's direction, Dante started ArmaCorp., buying aluminum and steel from her and turning them into vehicles and weapons for the small army that was growing in the still-unorganized region. But he also built tools; his company made shovels, axes, plows, tractors, irrigators - all of these they provided to the farmers of the three regions, and the effects of the revitalization were felt when farmers tilled previously infertile fields and harvested their first crops from them, selling to the newly-monied citizenry of the regions, trading in gold and silver for job lots of food. The rebuilding would take a long time to finish, but it had finally begun. ~~~ As the regions became more dependent on one another, became more affluent, as they grew to know and trust one another, the first murmurs of incorporation spread. They grew and grew until they became a roar of demand - the people of West Africa wanted to unite. Representatives from all over the regions gathered in Gaborone, and set about studying several examples of a constitution - The ones of the old countries, and even of the United States, so far away. Inspired by the other constitutions, they set about hammering out the details of just what they expected to have in the constitution - protections from tribal and racial discrimination, economic rights, the whole nine yards. And then they began to write. The finished document was turned over to the various representatives at the convention, and they in turn distributed it to the peoples and places they hailed from for a vote, a vote on the creation of a Confederacy of West Africa (which, despite the name, had far more in common with a cross between an oligarchy and a federal system than a confederacy, being comprised of a small High Council (made up of the leaders of the Confederate movement, i.e., Margaret Stratton, Dante Willamette and Mgombo Naganda, whose progeny and family collectively eventually became known as the Old Families) headed by a President followed by the popularly-elected House of Representatives. The House had the power to propose and vote on laws, and held the power of the purse; the High Council lacked the power of the purse but held the power to declare war. The President was the Commander of the armed forces, and had the power of veto over any law that crossed her desk. The result of the vote was 82% in favor, 16% against, and 2% undecided/did not vote. And thus was the Confederacy of West Africa born.
