Kzoppistan
Is this where I place my poorly informed opinion, state it as fact, unrelated to the sub-conversations, and without having read any of the preceding pages? Ok, here it is: Who will win in this war? Everybody. I mean, here we are, with another day filled with something to occupy our worrying little minds. The larger powers get to smash each other, and the smaller powers get to take advantage of that to strut their stuff and not be smashed as heavily as those at the top. Saber
The winner is those of us who like war and believe that casualties is the only stat that counts. TOP only needs to lose 20 members to lose their sanction. I'm sure their middle tier and low tier (along with whatever ghosts they have) will be decimated enough to leave TOP. The top TOP guys seem to be in it for the long haul. The others will be dropped quite a bit as well, I look forward to seeing the tier barriers drop quite a bit in the coming weeks/months.
Hell, if we could ask admin to take us off the sanctioned list we would. All we got from it is ghosts at 100NS who joined and won't leave. We were actually under 200 members for a while but ghosts kept us up. We are over 200 real members now because lot of people returned to fight for TOP. But no one in TOP would see loss of sanction as a loss. Infact exactly the opposite. We would like that.
Inquisitor Tolkien
At the same time, if that were the case, nobody from CnG could ever grow. The larger CnG nations would have to stop buying both tech and infra to keep their NS from growing large enough for the TOP nations to declare on them and beat them down again. I don't know how realistic this is, but if TOP could make it happen, I'd certainly count that as a win for TOP.
That sounds unrealistic to me. The losses a nation sustains from continuous nuclear warfare means that, even were an alliance such as that to fight nothing but 3v1s, the poor nation on the receiving end would still easily be able to damage their aggressor nations, and knock them out of their formerly high NS range down to a more manageable NS range. It's an difficult position and can be attritioned away over time with enough nations. It would, of course, still be very bloody (and fun), but still.
