Centurius Posted June 17, 2009 Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 As early as the merge of Phoenicia into the Greater Nordic Reich a large group became unhappy even close to revolution however something missed, the final Spark to initiate it and someone who had a status close to the Emperor who was still respected by all. A small group consisting of Scientists, Government Officials, Soldiers and Imperial Guard had come together more and more often. At one of the meetings the above problems were discussed. --- "There is one person who can pull a movement off on the scale of this and might be understanding of our Ideas. She enjoys the respect of the Soldiers, is an idol of the youth and aware of everything on the higher levels of Government. We have to recruit Nadine Peacecraft for our cause"one of the Generals said the others quickly approved however there was a problem Nadine was in the Hanseatic Commonwealth guarded by multiple Guards however an loophole came in as the Order arrived to send a plane. The Officials from the Imperial Guard arranged that 4 people loyal to the Cause would guard it the 4 wold be able to beat the 2 guards that were with Nadine. --- (Diplomatic Jet 23, above the Pacific) The plan was going as it was supposed to the 4 Guards had a majority but rather than taking out the other 2 they would approach Nadine during her sleep rather than with the other 2. At 12 AM 2 Soldiers only armed with side arms entered the Sleeping Cabin in the plane locking the door. "Princess wake up"they whispered while next to the bed. "We need to talk to you" As Nadine woke up and looked at the men she knew something was wrong. "I am listening Lieutenant" "Nordland has pulled the last straw Princess, the people and Army are tired of their Orders and want a change. We need your help" Nadine looked up a bit shocked but willing to consider what was being discussed as she had noticed it herself. "We need you to declare we are seceding as you are one of the only people who could do so without angering the Loyalists this would also keep the throne within the Centuria family rather than those of a stranger."the Lieutenant said. "Will there be violence?"Nadine asked where the tone made obvious the answer would make up her mind. "If everything goes as planned not, if we have to do it with force yes" "Let's do it"Nadine said after which the 2 looked pleased and would contact their superiors. --- (Zagreb) Expecting a positive result the right people were already placed in pretty much every place that was in control of Phoenicia from Missile Base to Tax Office the only exception the same would count for Defending Soldiers who might not be so willing to accept a new Ruler. If it was done there would be little to no resistance. Tensions were high in the palace probably because there were almost more rifles than people. After Nadine arrived she immediately called for a Press Conference with the news of the launch of WMDs her position was only reinforced. "People, for too long have we lived under the jackboot of Visari and his puppets. We wanted peace, he wanted war. We wanted appeasement, he wanted Destruction. Our great culture the Croatian way of life has been destroyed under Nordlandic rule just a few minutes ago he release Weapons of Mass Destruction without consent of other institutions we cant stand this any longer. Therefore I, Nadine Peacecraft order the arrest of the Centuria line and secede from Nordland to reform an ancient nation. Greater Croatia. We will no longer be oppressed by the masses as such I order my men to drop arms against the men in the South and hereby declare war upon Greater Germany to all Nations opposed against Nordland, our land is open" --- As expected there was almost no resistance only the palace would be part of a battlefront. 200 Imperial Guard executing the arrest warrant were stopped by 2,000 Defending Guards who knew their resistance would be short. As the fight went on and most of the 200 went to hide 5,000 fully armed Soldiers were ordered to assist however before this happened the Defending ones surrendered as Joseph had ordered them to stand down and recognize the new rule.
