It was a simple message from a simple young woman who had made it her goal to try and establish peace across the globe. The message read as follows: Greetings nations of the world, My name is Laura Kingswell though some of you may know me by my old name of Valerie. I have recently visited the world on a global trip and I quickly found that in the hidden streets of many cities were those that had suffered from the wars that ravaged our world. Those nation's leaders or representatives who were attending were met at the airport by security personal belonging to the Pax Pacis police force who escorted them to a large conference hall in the centre of Hansi the capital of the nation where they were guided inside and lead to their seats whilst they were offered refreshments. Violence is the natural state of humanity. Violence and death may be the natural state of humanity but that doesn't mean we can't break away from it. All it requires is effort, determination and drive by the human race mixed with understanding and acceptance and you will gain world peace. Quite simply because mankind has never chosen to activly attempt it, oh we always said that we strove towards peace but they were just words made to hide aggressive actions. Cody Seb Posted June 11, 2009 Report Share Posted June 11, 2009 Matthew Dodge's pilot steered the seaplane down onto the runway, making quite a scene as the plane landed on the asphalt instead of water like it was intended. Matthew extended the ramp and hopped down, tugging on his red suspendors which ran over his red flanel shirt. He had spared no expense, and had dressed his best. The police officer who would take him to the conference extended his hand. As Matthew went to shake it, he tucked in his thumb and shoved his hand into the man's palm, toothily grinning. "Fished ya!" he exclaimed, "So where's the party?" The police officer was quite taken aback by what he found to be a ghastly man, but gestured twoards the car, "This way." Matthew smiled and slapped the man hard on the shoulder, "Thanks bub!" He hopped in the car and it sped towards the conference hall. Once he was seated, a waitor came and offered him some champagne, "Ah, no thanks buddy, I brought my own!" He promptly pulled a flask out of his pocket, took a swig and put it back. Maybe this conference will serve that purpose. Considering Laura Kingswell aka Valerie's track record of starting wars, there are people who doubt if she's the ideal person to sponsor the event, but nonetheless Slavorussia’s Foreign Minister will attend. As Deputy Consul of State, she was the third highest ranking diplomat the new nation had, after the Director, Louis Egon, and Consul of State Bill Worthington. She had been Egon's chief negotiator during business meetings and dealings, and so far found diplomacy very much the same. She thrived in this type of environment. He charcoal pantsuit and black blouse were meticulously pressed and fit her quite well. She was not unattractive by any means, only in her mid-forties, with sharp blue eyes that sparkled with fire and intelligence. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a simple bun. The meeting room caused her to stop in shock for a moment. A man in a red plaid shirt with red overalls was the first thing she saw. Blinking, she was only broken from her staring when a waiter asked her if she wished something to drink. She took a water, downing it, and shook her head. Not only was this conference a waste of time, now she had to share it with loonies as well. Perfect.
