Episode 31

Transvaal Internal Security Officer Thressa Tshwane and Rayne Ryanor Slovorussian Agent have fought through the elite mercenary company ShadowDragon to the Transvaal Parliament, just with mere minutes to intercept the Slovorussian Dark Hand’s bomb.

We’ve finally made it, if I can disarm the bomb we can save Pretoria. Thressa hand me the wirecutters and…
*Gun Noise* [Click-Click]
Thressa?
This is as far as you go Agent Ryanor
But how Thressa? After all this you’ve been with the Dark Hand
I’m Sorry, I…
You’re sorry, you’re sorry?!?!?!?! You’re betraying Transvaal, you’re betraying me. If you do this Transvaal will collapse. How much is the lives of everyone in the city worth?
They have my younger sister, I didn’t have a choice. I was an intern in the TIC back then, before met you, I didn’t want it to turn out like this, I never wanted to care, I didn’t think we would… I’m sorry. *Sob*
*Gunshot Noise* Bang

With our heroines in opposition, and the bomb counting down can Pretoria be saved?

Hello? This is William Gregorios, operator of Athens National Radio."
Looks like another official contact, ok then. This Generalissimo, Generalissimo of Procinctia. PBC broadcast frequency 103.9. Consider this an official government communiqué from the acting government of Procinctia, although our reply is a little on the late side. Hello? Ok, don't talk, you know our signal if you have anything to say. Edited by Generalissimo

This is Generalissimo with a PBC travel update.

Procintia travel advisory.

Travel to Saint Paul Island currently highly discouraged. The Republic of War was kind enough to leave behind automated gun turrets that will target anything larger than a cat. Landmines are prolific, especially nasty are the RoW proximity mines, especially hindering travel are the magnetic mines carpeting any potential helicopter or aircraft landing site.

The seas north of St. Paul still burn as what little remains of the oil reserves leak into Bering. Sometimes the fires are small and isolated, sometimes everything a mile north of the island burns.

Procintia health warning.

Saint Paul Island is incredibly toxic, and suffers from near fatal contamination levels.

Weeks napalm carpet bombing, casual use of depleted uranium, the destruction of industry and refineries, and Procintia’s ignition of our oil fields surrounding (to destroy a Republican fleet) has left St. Paul uninhabitable.

As the only person current living outside of the bunkers, yes on the surface. I recommend not breathing the air, and try to avoid extended exposure to the soil. Gasmasks are helpful, hazard suits are recommended, and decontamination pills are indispensable. Without decontamination pills I would be dead sixty times over, a word of warning decontamination pills can cause chemical dependency.

Current weather conditions.

Winter ice flows throughout the Bering Sea make sea travel difficult.

Good thing St. George, St. Paul, and the area immediately between are part of an awesome geographical anomaly. It’s true, honestly, thank god for global warming without it Procintia would be doomed. (Policy Notice: Procintia very much supports global warming). The tropical Bering is a cool 70 all year, although various contamination puts St. Paul to a pleasant 80.

Did we lose? Saint Paul Island is near uninhabitable, the Republic of War occupied our entire surface territory, we have been effectively removed from the world community, our economy is non-existent, and Procinctia’s military has been reduced to dozens…

Victory is OURs

The Republic of War now longer exists, replaced by an Amerikanisches Reich, and Highbuzz’s reign of terror has come to an end.

Today Procinctia rises from ground to build from the ashes a new Procinctia.

Is there anyone out there? This is Generalissimo, Generalissimo of Procinctia, reporting from Procinctia Broadcasting Corporation transmission, frequency 103.9. This is frequency 103.9, Procinctia, yes that Procinctia. Attemping contact with… with anyone really.

Radio Station on Unalaska Island

"Sir, you're not going to believe the signals we've been picking up. Seriously, listen to this!"

The operator leaned over and put on the headphones, his face dropped. "You got to be !@#$@#$ kidding me. Relay this to the capital, NOW!"

---

Kaiser Otto and his father were at the dinner table eating when a servant came in with a letter. Instead of going to Otto, he went to his father, Karl (Highbuzz). Karl looked confused, "I am not the leader, Otto is, give any important message to him!" The servant looked at Otto, then back to Karl, "I think it might be much more important to you." Karl, still confused, grabbed the letter and opened it, in bold it read "Procinctia Exists. Generalissimo, ALIVE. Radio messages are now coming out of the former Procinctian lands."

Karl held it in his hand, staring at in, somewhat in disbelief for a while. Otto continued eating but finally bugged him, "What? Another one-night stand claim against you? Heh." Karl just turned his head, "Procinctia Exists."

---

Planes were gassing up at the Unalaska Airbase. Their mission, to spot any movement on any of the former Procinctian Islands. A small naval group has broken away from the Mexican blockade to monitor the lands as well. Possible landing attempts could be made.

OOC: Welcome back. If you don't know, Highbuzz is still here, but not leading. Amerikanisches Reich is pretty much Republic of War, just a new name. Karl is Highbuzz, the father of now Kaiser, Otto. PM me man, it's been a long time, was wondering you'd ever return.

"This is Generalissimo with the news. I’m looking at our early warning system and it seems we have a fighter flyby, wait an armada of ships, no a blimp, a dozen blimps? And nothing *kick* [static] or something. Sorry about that our early warning system is currently held together with duct tape. Remember, if there is anyone out there trying to visit our little island I wouldn’t recommend it, for their own safety. Not that I wouldn’t mind some company, I’ve the only person topside for the last six months and there are times I really thought I was going to lose it.

On a lighter note we have international trade. I was talking to the Wolf King Menes of the Lost Tribe yesterday, yes the little raider who walked through the RoW coalition blockade just to steal a little technology. In exchange for bunker purified water, a little coal, and some smooth refreshing BunkerBeer he was willing to give us sugar, tin, three million silver dollars, and bit of freshly raided consumer technology. The first exchange was yesterday by submarine to bunker7, but we are expecting regular trades by the end of the month."

"Today on cooking with Generalissimo we will turn a seagull, a can of black beans, and a package ramen flavoring into a full and satisfying meal.

Today I was able to bring down a seagull with an assault riffle, and found the rest of our ingredients wandering the ruins of the Saint Paul City wasteland.

Roast the seagull over an open fire of a burning Highbuzz novelty effigy until well done.

Cook the can of black beans, ramen flavoring, and a teaspoon of decontamination solution into a pot and cook for 20 minutes over a radio generator.

Put the cooked seagull into the pot and let simmer for an additional 5 minutes and enjoy.

Mmmmm tasty."

"Tonight on Generalissimo’ book club I’ll be reviewing a little gem I found earlier today scavenging the Saint Paul City wasteland. Tomas Pons’ The Benevolent Royal is a text postulating the dynamic of a hypothetical benevolent monarchy. It is objective, clear, and concise while remaining informative. I give the quality of writing a 10/10 and the political theory a 7/10 if only because monarchies aren’t my thing. So I recommend all intellectually inclined bunkeristas to go out and scavenge, trade, or illegally download The Benevolent Royal."

"Is he really recommending books, sir?"

"I don't even know what the hell is going on anymore myself! I'm afraid if we send this message in too, the Verteidigers will think we're !@#$@#$ stoned out of our minds and and that we're trying to prank them..."

"The Republic of War may have burned St. Paul to ash, there still several freestanding structures on the Embassy Boulevard. Apparently the Republicans were kind enough to not directly attack diplomatic missions.

The embassies of Artica, Empire of Shilla, Grand Dutchy Of Finland, Kashlinkov, Planet Huston, Russovania, Smygor, and Viniland all currently stand as rubble from the fighting on the island. I personally apologize for the loss and inconvenience for all nations affected.

Tonight on Generalissimo’s Saint Paul City Wasteland Guide, presented in no particular, order are the island's remaining buildings. This is a must listen to looters, raiders, scavengers, survivors, tourists, or even the nations these buildings represented.

The first embassy was constructed in accordance with scientific communist architectural principles, and as a result was drab and boring. Initially constructed by Solidous’ Socialists of Earth, latter occupied by Comrade Norris’ East Germany prior to Martins’ betrayal and subsequent German reunification, and finally the People's Democratic South Asian Republics. This structure is notable for currently being a wall, just the wall facing the boulevard.

The Slavorussia's embassy was perhaps the most elegant structure in all of Procintia but thoroughly looted by RoW troops. Currently sporting majestic half collapsed spires and a moderately high contamination rating.

Transvaal’s embassy has walls are not easily climbed, and suffers from a second floor roof collapse. The structural integrity is questionable and best avoided, although the Cherokee Namibia annex is still mostly intact.

Republic of War’s embassy was used as an operations center by RoW forces after the war is full of great scavenge. With ammunition, batteries, scrap metal, and wiring the Row building is a prime stop for any intrepid looter willing the traverse the minefields surrounding the structure.

The South Moore embassy and the "Legitimate Italian Business Center" is still around and full of money, but a contamination rating well above lethal levels is stopping anyone from cashing in Don Brando’s money.

Russany's embassy was a sturdy fortified concrete structure, like many of Baron Uberstein’s designs, built for survival. It might have been occupied by the United Communist Countries after the dissolution of Russany. Except for a leaky roof the old Russany embassy remains largely intact although thoroughly abandoned. It’s also great place to sleep after a long day of scavenging because of the lack of contamination.

The North Ulster Embassy & Pub is still intact without any significant contamination, and full of ale waiting to be looted. I love the Irish, because the NUE&P has been the only thing keeping me sane for the last year.

That's it from the Saint Paul City Wasteland tonight, this is Generalissimo signing off.

Stay tuned for an hour of light

Vasilli Markov looked at his radio for a few minutes and listened then adjusted it back to the music station he was listening to.

*sigh* "kids these days, give them a radio transmitter or an datanet connection and they think they own the world." he muttered to himself.

He made a note of the frequency and would pass it on to intel in the morning, for now he wanted some quiet music so he could go to sleep.

Let us know if you come up with something. Back to… wait I’m getting a call from KiloIndiaSierraKiloAlpha… Kiska. Let me take this for a minute.

Hello *static* Generalissimo? *static*
Kiska, how’s it going? I’m tracing your call to Scandinavia? Enjoying the Russany winter? How’s the old Baron these days?
Russany hasn’t existed for a long time, destroyed by Uberstein’s own hand and that was before his second shattered nation. Uberstein himself is extremely irrelevant right now. I’m in Helsinki, Hansa. Before you ask, Hansa is a nation in Finland.
Good, did you make contact with the Hansaistas?
No, not yet. They’ve been preoccupied with a series of high-profile incidents. Is this a secure line of communication?
Secure line, sure why not.
Don’t tell me this is…
frequency 103.9, broadcasting live, nothing else in Procinctia can pick up a cell phone. Oh, you less than a minute before we lose your call.
I know you have email…
Three times a day, for documents under 300 words.
Don’t interrupt, this is important… *static*
We’ll get back to Kiska latter, for now we’ll put you back to Good Morning Procinctia. Edited by Generalissimo

"No offence to our international listeners, please stop sending fan email, it’s only cluttering my inbox. With my current bandwidth I can only read three messages a day, for documents under 300 words, and all three slots are reserved for extremely important government business. Speaking of which, how does anyone even have my address? Generalissimo’s electronic mail address is Procinctian state secret of great secrecy."

"This Generalissimo with a PBC news update.

Our intrepid (former) Minister of Foreign Affairs Kiska Atka has been working tirelessly *exaggeration* without rest to further advance the Procinctian cause, in the year of our isolation she hasn’t been hiding in a tropical resort hiding trying to be forgotten *blatant lie*. Recently in negotiations with the honourable southern nation of Dranagg, Kiska was able to secure full-spectrum lights for our bunkers. These full-spectrum lights will allegedly 'mimick the sun better than standard lightbulbs.' I would like to remind every Procinctian in the Bunkers to give thanks to Kiska and our new Dranagg friends.

In other news, I would change my email address if my bandwidth would allow me to reach email subscription sites."

"I’ve heard from a Ham Radio operator on the inside track some foreign media types are already trying to cash in on someone else’s story.

Has anyone out heard of a movie project tentatively titled Presidente? Apparently it’s a film already in production.

The movie is supposedly about the leader of a destroyed nation, wandering the wasteland of her once great capital, with only a radio for companionship… sound familiar yet?

Fortunately for whoever this studio is I happen to a public domain property, but who out there is really going to want to watch Generalissimo The Movie by People Who Probably Have No Idea What’s Going On In Procinctia?

I completely forgot that Transvaal embassies often handled visas and other boring diplomatic administration duties for Cherokee Namibia.

Since Cherokee Namibia is no more and we re-annexed their lands last summer, we'll also re-annex their still-standing diplomatic annex.

OOC: my what a glowing passport :awesome:

IC: A medium sized fishing trawler has left the ice port of Dranagg. Harbour boats saw it clear of ice bergs before leaving it to the open ocean. The ship will be taking a wide route to avoid the australiasian fighting occuring to the East on a trip to the north. The name has been painted over, and any identifying marks have been removed from the ship.
