animea90
Just curious if Kevin ever plans on taking cybernations out of beta. I mean we have been in it for a fairly long time now.
thedestro
I don't know 'bout you, but I like all these new updates and such. I suppose the end of Beta will be far from now, but I'll be happy with the game regardless
animea90
I don't know 'bout you, but I like all these new updates and such. I suppose the end of Beta will be far from now, but I'll be happy with the game regardless Once the game is out of beta that does not mean we have to stop receiving game updates. Most games continue updating after the game is out of beta.
thedestro
If this game is out of Beta, that means (according to the definition) that there are no bugs. But we still have bugs with updates anyway. It seems you just care about the semantics of it, which is...trivial. [/bigwords]

It seems you just care about the semantics of it, which is...trivial.[/bigwords] What definition are you using which requires no bugs before a game is out of beta? If that were true then at least 90 percent of the software on the market is still in beta when it releases and many games never leave the beta stage. Delta1212
Saying it is in beta means that he is still adding to the game. Other than that, there is no difference betwee in beta and not in beta, so I don't really see the point.
zzzptm
Admin doesn't need to ever take it out of beta. Heck, I'm not entirely convinced the Real World is out of beta. And for those milleniarists out there, does that mean The Second Coming is God's way of resetting? Big war before the reset, because we know we'll lose everything, anyway, so why not just use it??? But, back to topic, the game can stay in beta forever. FOR EV ER FOR EV ER FOR EV ER Now let's go play some ball, huh?
thaone
You know Gmail is also still in beta? I've heard the reason they do that is: Certain privacy rules don't exist as long as a program is in Beta. /tinfoil-hat mode
Gryphon
Given how long the game has been in beta, I hope we don't have to start over when the game comes out of beta.
Gebiv
Pray to admin that our beta lasts forever. The afterlife, it isn't as forgiving as you have to start over.
zzzptm
If we all get a reset, there will be lots of nations buying 1 infra and 10 soldiers, then going after age-old enemies...
fireguy15207
As everyone has pointed out many times, if the game gets reset, a lot of people would leave, especially people who have donated lots of money to the game.

Viluin
I wouldn't mind a reset, but that's just me.
Britanicca
so this beta thing means you can update the game and stuff, well is that not part of what makes it a great game, that you can suggest things and new things are added, personally i wouldn't want to restart again
USNA
Does it really matter? I say if something works just let it be. It's fine in beta.
Max Beck
Beta, a process in a software creation where selected individuals test the program or game for defects. Personally I find it hard to actually define CN to be in beta.
