Should the people of France choose not to split them-selves up again, Newfoundland will recognize this new version of the state.

We are glad to see that the nation that so many of us are from, to decide to rightfully overthrow the monarchy for a new communist state. We wish you well, and hope that we can open relations some-time soon.

Communique to France

Uneasyness and worry fill our hearts when we look upon the situation in your country. Altough we do not fully trust the outcome of the elections, we have to accept facts and these facts do not please us. Radical change has taken place in France, and while Vicidalia was trying to stay neutral in the past, wenow have to condemn this movement. Not only was the ancien regime overthrown, but the communists also did away with democracy and the free market. With the rights of the people curbed politically and economically, we see that despite Mdme. Valentins repeated wish for it to stay civil and free of state terror, the state was given the means to exert said terror. And Mdme Valentin may truly believe in this ideal, but this cannot be proven for all the communists in France and it may be entirely possible that the revolution will eat its children in the end.

To show our discontent with the recent changes, we close our ports to every ship under the command of Comunist France until we are proven that France has a stable government with sufficient respect for the old values again.

Mme. de Vicidalia,

While I do respect your attitude towards the Revolution in the Mother Country, I must also respectfully disagree with your outlook on the situation. The Ancien Regime, one of many, which ruled over the French people until recent times was an ineffective and inactive regime and the need for their removal was only reinforced by the King of the Angevins disappearance with nuclear codes threatening both French and Global security. Beyond the fact that these people changed themselves through radical surgery into reptiles, I cannot begin to explain the necessity that existed to destroy our Monarchy. With the nuclear codes now changed, France can breathe easy and so can the world.

It is unfortunate that one of the few Francophone countries refuses now to trade with the Mother Country and if need be, you may come yourself, Madame, to Paris and across the country to see that this Revolution and my rise to leadership did not take away the fundamental rights proposed by philosophers as Rousseau and Voltaire. That said, if you do feel strongly about the situation in France. I would ask if you would accept the former Queen and some of the aristocracy as Exiles. Surely in a country of your principles, they would suit the land better.

Regards,

Simone Valentin
Chairwoman of the Revolutionary Party

Private message to the Red Government

I am gravely saddened by the attempt on your life Comrade valentine, sly Royalist !@#$%^&*.

If still required, the ships outside Calais can make port and unload their weapons, ammunition and other supplies of a military nature for your budding military. Furthermore I wish to invite you to Kamchatka Oblast, to our grand city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to discuss the extension of our relations to a more official level.

Signed
President Malenkov

Comrade Malenkov,

I am eternally grateful for Siberia's assistance in the success of the Revolution and I humbly accept your gift of munitions at the port of Calais. You make dock along side the Papuan ship as it comes into the harbor. Furthermore, I would be delighted to come to Kamchatka to discuss advancing our relations. Leftist ideology has been corrupted as of late and is in need of reform, which we will discuss, perhaps the possibility of a larger alliance of our nations and other nations who share our ideologies.

Needless to say, the Revolution which began in France will spread across the world. I have found bullets do not stop me well and I makes me all the more passionate to continue my work.

Yours in faith,

Simone Valentin

Comrades,

It is with great pleasure I congratulate you on your revolution against the Monarchists. It is always a pleasure to see new Communist and Socialist governments arise.

We in Finland are very interested in assisting the French in any way we can. We will be sending a diplomat to Paris shortly and we hope we will be able to talk soon.

Comrade Paatelainen,

Much like the Siberians and the Papuans, Finland's help and support was essential in making our dream of Revolutionary Reform a reality. With the collapse of the Franco-Swedish Alliance, it is with all importance that France regains her influence, however small, in the Scandinavian Zone. As such I would be honored to meet with a Finnish Diplomat in Paris to hammer out the budding ideas for a Franco-Finnish Alliance. There is much work to be done, but will perseverance we will prevail.

Yours in faith,

Damion was in the Assembly room as well. Although he didn't like the communists much this is what the people wanted so he kept telling himself. "This is what the people want so we have to make this work." He actually liked the fact they were expanding the military a lot. He did not agree with the one party system though. "It is the people's decision on whether to create a political party of their own and so that ability should not be taken away from them. As for the military I agree, it should be expanded so that we don't have to worry about the threat of invasion."

Meanwhile back at the estate on the Andorran coast Jesse was about to shoot the TV but didn’t. “They won this one fair and square and as long as she doesn’t become another Stalin everything should be fine. Although if she was going to try to rise to power like that the first thing she would have to do is tie up her loose ends. Which would mean she would try to kill us along with the former Estates General and the Empress.”

Brian didn’t agree, “She cannot be that evil. The people support her and as long as she is still doing what all of them want I’m sure she will do fine. Heck even Damion is starting to like her.”

“That is because she is expanding the military and he used to be a military leader. Paul might have focused more on infrastructure and economics but Damion was always the military person. He was basically his Secretary of Defense, he may not trust her a lot currently but soon he will if it gets him more power in the French Military, right now though it is nothing we should worry about.”

(OOC: Ignore what they said in earlier posts about knowing where Bridgette is.)

Brian continued, “What we should worry about is locating Bridgette and rescuing Paul and Ben. The people might like Damion right now because Paul trusted him but that might not last. What we need to do is focus on finding them and bringing them back safely.”

Mme. Valentin,

Altough it is sad that the french noblesse has to leave its own country, Vicidalia shall gladly accept them and give them somewhat of a new home. This however will bring up the question wether or not, the French Commune will refund the rightful owners of the estates, as I guess that the Revolutionary Government has seized control over the accounts and estates of the nobility. As it seems, it may be recquired for myself to accept your offer and to visit the Mother Country myself, to see for ourselves how post-revolutionary France is faring, as well as to discuss the matter of the aristocracy and the relations between our two countries. In this regard, I will hope that the Revolutionary Government and you, Mme Valentin may name me a date for a visit as soon as possible.

Mme. de Vicidalia,

It is not the entirety of the aristocracy who must leave, but only those leaders who once ruled over the nation. While some may see this as barbaric, I see move as a necessary precaution in preventing a Royalist Rebellion. King Geoffrey de Plantagenet is still at large in the world and his return may create a surge in Royalist loyalty that the Commune and France can ill-afford. In this way, the Noblesse will be taken care of in a society which tends to their needs as aristocrats. As to your other concern, Madame, their estates were seized by the government, however, in due time we may find it fit to reimburse those who lost property during the Revolution, in a kind of understanding that they will not return to the Mother Country.

If you would like, however, to come to France and see the outcome of Post-Revolutionary Thought for yourself. I would be happy to receive you at anytime. Though I do hope that you come here with an open mind and not one that already sees the Commune as a blight against the world. I have been very cordial with you, Madame, do not take my kindness for granted and believe you may insult my beliefs or my country. I hope the idea that blood, French Blood, will always be thicker than water.

Mme. Valentin,

If you wouldn't mind then, I would visit France in the next week, as preperations for a sudden leave need their time. As I want to visit my family's origin, I would also be overjoyed if I could visit Blois and the surrounding areas. I have some private matters to take care of there, but nothing that would conflict with the law of France, as far as I'm aware of it.

In ideological matters, I guess we can accept that there is a state of affairs and it cannot be changed anytime soon. It will be better to accept it and make the best out of it.

One last thing I want to ask though, is wether I'll be living in a hotel or where else will I find hospitality. It'd be me, as well as two personal assistants.

With regards,

Louise Françoise I de Vicidalia
Grand Princess of Vicidalia
