The New Irish Gala

Akemi Estelle awoke as the sound of one of her new interns banging against her irish hotel room door, having arrived the night previously, thinking [i]"at least these ones actually want to get to work on something other than texting and tanlines"[/i] as she got herself awake, taking an Alert® tablet, before putting on a formal style sundress, grabbing her phone, and briefcase with tablet PC and numerous folders of paperwork in it off the desk in the room, taking the elevator with her three little minions down to the lobby and out into the waiting car to take them to the castle.

Upon arrival at the castle, Akemi stood in awe for a moment, deciding to take a picture of the beautiful ancient structure before entering, overhearing [i]"Select dignitaries are being invited to the Observatory after a time; I would be glad if you all would join us."[/i] as she walked in and decided that would be her goal of this trip, walking straight over to the Taoiseach as her Interns went to grab food and drinks, extending her hand and bowing graciously, "I have enjoyed how beautiful Ireland is, all this green is overwhelming at times, Mogar sends his warmest regards and hopes that Ireland will become a stable nation in the Atlantic," before reaching into her bag, pulling out a bottle of wine, "He also sent me with this, as a welcoming gift to you!"
Caitlin Mizuki smiled and greeting Viceroy Bogart while loading up a plate of food, meanwhile Carey and Siobahn made their way to the bar, ordering 4 whiskey and sodas, Siobahn bringing Caitlin her drink first before giving Akemi hers, bowing to the Taoiseach deeply, "It's such an honor to meet you!"

Baldrick, now sufficiently tanked up with beer stood and approached the Taoiseach. He was by no means drunk, but his drymouth was abating somewhat. He walked smartly towards the Taoiseach and snapped to attention and proving a salute.

"Ma'am, I am Brigader General Baldrick of the Royal Irish Guards, my I personally congratulate you on gaining Irelands Independance and may I present to you my sword?" he said as he unclipped his scabbard from his wasit and presented it to her horizontally.

"Pressed steel with guilded gold and silver in the grip and pommel, whilst never used in battle, it is as perfectly battle ready as it is for ceremonial duties and activites. It is a gift from the Royal Irish Guards Ma'am. I do believe the Kings gift will be arriving later tonight, I shall notify you when it is due."

Arriving fashionably late, Canadian minister of foreign affairs, Nathan Campbell silently entered the room. Almost immediately heading for the bar.

The Base Commanding Officer of Fort Anchengo would then look for suitable persons to converse with. Dressed in his full dress whites of Royal Cochin Navy, the Vice Admiral had arrived at the venue in an RCAF METAC from Barra.

As he presented scabbard she grabbed it somewhat forcefully but played it off with a gentle touch and a pat; her muscles, which had tensed up for a moment, relaxed and a smile returned to her face. "Thank you very much, Brigadier General. The Royal Irish Guards have my respect and I will await the King's gift," she said lightly, and she took the scabbard and clipped it to her own waist. It contrasted starkly with the rest of her rather business casual dress but it gave a bit of an emphatic air to her.

The Taoiseach took a slight breath at the sight of the brilliant amethyst; in order to keep her hands free for the party, she handed the box off to another butlery person to be kept in a special place. "I thank you for the gift, Alexander. As does the rest of Ireland."

Admiral O'Halloran shook his head as he shook the Cochin Vice Admiral's hand. "No need for a salute, as far as I'm concerned at this party we're all just men. And don't worry, half of the country isn't fluent - English is the main language here. We preserve the language for cultural use, yes, but it's much easier and faster to just speak English. I wonder, Vice Admiral - how is it on the seas? Ireland hasn't had a proper navy for some time now."

Each member of security would be watched via an assortment of human and computerized eyes, and if anyone would try to do anything suspicious they would be approached by a clearly marked member of the security team already in place.

The Taoiseach, noting the alarming number of gifts she was receiving, gently extricated herself from the situation to walk over to Jia and hold her hand out. "Jia from the United Federation, yes?"

Emperor Thomas Atkinson-Asgeirsson walked in, his dark brown eyes scanning the hall. He wore a grey tuxedo, a little longer than usual, the jacket going down to mid-thigh. A black shirt and grey long tie completed the outfit. His sister, Commandant Alice Atkinson-Asgeirsson, head of the Imperial Air Force, had once again chosen to forgo military dress, instead opting for another daring ensemble. A black halter dress, nearly backless, with a long slit up the right side. The front was solid but woven with a number of different threads, giving the impression that the dress was moving itself whether or not the Commandant was. And finally there was Dr. Leonard L. Church, Thomas' trusted adviser and head of most R&D within the Empire. The good doctor wore a nearly floor length black jacket, black pants, and a white dress shirt that had the first two buttons undone.

Thomas turned to the other two and smiled. "Go have fun. Alice, stay out of trouble and try not to kill anyone. Leonard, try not to freak anyone out." Thomas then started making his way towards the Taoiseach.

OOC: Christian Bale from the "Batman" series is what Thomas looks like, Alice looks like Scarlett Johannsson with very pale blonde hair.

Akemi, feeling stupid for not noticing the Irishman before her, decided to bow at almost a 100° angle, and then shake the hand of Admiral O'Halloran with a firm grip "No disrespect to the Irish people of course, I am just really excited to meet a Cochin national, I've read many books and reports about them, this is the first I've ever meet a real citizen of their nation, MoG[Corp]'s navy is at the disposal of the Irish people, we will gladly assist in any humanitarian crisis that may present itself to any nation across the globe, while we may not have an extensive navy, we want to ensure the safety of everyone across the planet!"

"Not many care to venture to the harsh climate that makes up the majority of MoG[Corp] property, your hottest days here in Ireland are just regular weather for us, We were taught quite extensively about Tahoe amongst many other nations, my specialty was Modern African History, I enjoyed learning about the previous nations that controlled the property MoG[Corp] currently controls, Sarnungian Republic most notably, I enjoy history because you will be doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past if you do not study it, and in a world like ours it's important to have as much information as you can get about the mistakes of the past, I learned much from the stories about Neo Japan and their atrocities in Asia, removing Han Chinese in Manchuria on the pretext of "returning them to their home", colonization of China, repeated attempts to genocide the Kyokujitsujins, among others, the list goes on and on. From what I have seen at least, your nation appears to be one of a noble people, and MoG[Corp] prefers our friends to be those who are just and over those who wish to commit crimes against their own people. MoG[Corp] also has many subcultures, we have more spoken languages than I could even count, as long as you are willing to learn English to communicate for business, we don't mind you keeping whatever language you wish to speak."

Miss Mizuki nuzzles the bunny, handing it back before hugging Mr Muta, not a traditional diplomatic move, but considering the close relation MoG[Corp] shared with PRA, she doubted it would make much of a difference, after embracing the gentlemen, she began some normal chitchat, secretly plotting to steal the rabbit, already named Mr. Fluffers she decided.
