  1. Yes you can, you just need to know how to wield a pen and give yourself a good amount of creative license. Besides, I was agreeing that alliances making formal DoW's was the preferred thing as far as I'm concerned. If alliances don't adhere to those formalities; what's stopping someone else from making that announcement and staking the first claim the to the narrative? I'll let you figure that one out.
  2. As the saying goes; we were once 'birds of a feather' once upon a time. Still, I bet it makes you feel kinda gross Smitty this is standard spin in any given combat scenario. The aggressor will always argue they were defending an ally and the defender will always argue the aggressor has no case for their aggression even if it is ironclad. You can't win this kind of argument by deferring to logic or the objective reality of whether or not "he started it!" - There's nothing charismatic or convincing in that approach.
  3. Ain't much fodder to post about nowadays so we take what we can get around here, at least until someone kicks something off that properly destroys the planet for good. I disagree, I think any alliance reserves the right to defend or join in on acts of aggression at their own discretion (though I'd personally find it more enjoyable if people put a bit of effort into those actions by way of fashioning a public narrative, instead of silently womping people indiscriminately and hoping no one else notices). Just because you don't have a treaty with a dull and uninspired name doesn't exclude you from having diplomatic relations with another alliance and providing assistance to them in the manner of your choosing, the Moldavi Doctrine streamlines things and does away with a lot of the pointless paperwork and "line drawing" posturing everyone is so accustomed to. I reserve the right to defend anyone I please at any given time, it's called having sovereignty. I choose not to let my actions be dictated by too much legalese jargon which is one of the main culprits responsible for the political inertia on this planet. I know that playing 'treaty chess' is all that some people have known/will ever know, but it'd be nice if people at least tried to think outside of the box for once.
  4. Hey I'm not disagreeing with that line of thinking, I just lack the means to do anything about it. Also historically speaking; NSO set a precedent with the Moldavi Doctrine which served as a catch-all ODoAP for whatever cause they considered to be just. They did at least post formal DoW's with their reasoning whenever invoking that though. Maybe it was just the bad PR then? This is the first time in a while a Neutral alliance got swarmed and hostilities were formally recognised by that alliance- which got the attention of anyone bothering to still pay attention. Like I said; maybe they decided it was prudent to not have the spotlight in their faces and their resources could be better saved for bigger fish? I'm just spitballing here.
  5. Something tells me that this was wrapped up because after 10+ years of not fighting any wars? I imagine a fair few GPA members are oozing with cash and if they dug in for an actual fight it'd cause Doomsphere to start bleeding money pointlessly against a Neutral alliance. Also something to do with optics maybe I dunno
  6. One or two of their members attacked Jerdge iirc. It should go without saying at this point that any movement from an alliance on Pink team with the word "Doom" in the name means the whole gang are going to get involved if they can. DBDC posted a catch all DoW a while ago for any raids/wars launched by their members to avoid the hassle of posting a formal DoW whenever they choose to hit anyone, I'm guessing that extends to the wider Doomsphere too? If not then it might be worth differentiating themselves as separate entities using the traditional formalities most alliance adhere to- as trivial as they might consider them. People like to avoid formalities where they can nowadays, that spotlight can be quite pesky after-all. Whatever your thoughts on how jerdge and GPA retaliated to the aggressive action against their members, at least they brought it to everyone's attention which likely facilitated this formal ending of hostilities. If no statement was made by GPA then I imagine they would've been rolled repeatedly into nothing much like the fate that has befallen WTF. Swords and pens somethingsomething.
  7. Which might've been possible if Doom hadn't swarmed a Neutral alliance. Otherwise this was just a waste of money to beat a dead horse for the umpteenth time (no offense jerdge) without making any actual difference to the balance of power on an international scale. Besides, you're relying on a Neutral mercenary to keep a rogue at bay so it's not like you currently have the manpower to spare for an escalation All the same, glad to see this come to fruition. Raiding Neutrals is so 2000-late.
  8. Good to see this has been settled amicably between Kashmir and the GPA. Indiscriminate attacks on Neutral alliances have been a long-standing and stale tradition among the un-imaginative alliance leaders of Bob for too long. Props to jerdge for taking a stand in defence of his own without relying on a network of treaties as a safety blanket and to Jason8 for getting a grip on things for the benefit of Kashmir and bringing a close to a situation that was spiralling out of control. Hopefully this move will serve to further re-iterate who actually has their hands on the wheel in Kashmir. This honestly is a good idea and I would even go as far as to encourage other alliance leaders to consider doing the same. The GPA and other neutral alliances have never meddled in the business of others and stayed true to their Neutrality. It'd be nice to see that reciprocated toward the GPA (and other neutral parties) by the other alliance leaders of Bob. If people want a fight, they'd be better off picking one with someone they have a legitimate grievance with and who might actually fight back (looking at you here Doomsphere- though I know you aren't the only ones guilty of this)
  9. I mean another truth of the matter is Kashmir's alliance bio literally states that SirWilliam is the leader, maybe you should change this to clarify who actually calls the shots over there? Maybe jerdge got sick of watching people constantly womping on Neutrals (specifically his own AA) without repercussions and seeing that SirWilliam is listed as the Leader of Kashmir, he opted to skip the diplomacy in favour of going right for the fireworks. I certainly don't sense anything personal about this, SirWilliam just happened to be the person attacking GPA nations and is publically listed as your leader. If he is only a figurehead at this stage and his position within Kashmir does not match what your bio says? Then that's on you guys for failing to maintain an accurate bio and visible chain of command, it's not on jerdge for not giving you a heads up first; it's on you for not noticing your member had hit them and subsequently reaching out to explain that it was not something sanctioned by the actual govt of Kashmir. The real truth is that you're all picking low-hanging fruit and chest thumping about it, knowing fully well it's unlikely that any cavalry will ride to their defence, which would happen if you hit an alliance enveloped by the many vines of the treaty web. Very impressive and ambitious stuff though, go you!
  10. Congrats Legion, you used to be terrible once upon a time but you're one of the few alliances capable of putting up a decent fight when the chips are down. Always enjoyed sparring with you in the wars we've fought over the past two years. Perhaps you could develop a reinvigorated taste for unilateral action with that firepower behind you?
  11. "Someone else do it; our billions of dollars might run out!" - said everyone else.
  12. My apologies, the crowds at these attempted festival reboots are very loud with their own chanting it can sometimes drown out the headlining act (and in this instance they seem very forgetful about what happened to them less than a year ago, when they tried to cherry-pick members of an alliance to hit and argue it wasn't a blanket act of war on that alliance.....)
  13. @jerdge Don't backtrack or half-ass these things. Full ass it every time (preferably a screaming one) Imagine being an alliance that managed to antagonise the Neutral Menace (of all people) into recognising hostilities with you. This may be more of a reflection of how dead this world truly is though, who can say? Imagine also being in one of the alliances currently chest-thumping about their attack on GPA and trying to justify it as being the Neutral's at fault. I'm getting really crappy Woodstock flashbacks. Don't take the brown acid
  14. Yeah, when it came to peace it was essentiallly agreed the Samsara/Yin-Yang symbol wasn't something either alliance had ownership of exclusively for their flag.
  15. I was referring to your affiliation in a more general sense rather than you specifically, you are actively posting here though. Alongside the whole; click button, make numbers go vrrr part? This does unfortunately count as doing things in CN. Don't worry, I also actively fight doing things here too. I've some spare festive time on my hands to kill before Santa gives everyone the plague and I spotted this place twitching as if a part of it was alive again- like a moth to a flame and alla that, y'know? Merry Christmas!
  16. This is true, the impression I'm getting is that you want a reason to attack them and are kinda salty that they haven't given one yet- despite how loudly you collectively try to bait one. It must be so frustrating!
  17. Didn't see much of a meltdown myself, probably because that demented circle-jerking going on. You guys are too easy.
  18. Ah crap I'm sorry, I totally forgot to tell you; it's already occupied. I'll have leave it to you and @Jazzy95to figure out which of you gets the top bunk. He already claimed to be living rent free a while back and there's only so much space to go around up there.
  19. Wouldn't know, your crew are good at covering tracks for the most part. I just don't buy that you're "literally not involved at all besides trolling this announcement" - It's been pretty clear how NG members felt about UFP from the outset. Then your "former" member Londo turns up in FTW and starts trying to mess with them? Yeah sure; you're "literally not involved at all" I'm sure they did join of their own free will, I'm also sure you found it odd the first time the free will of some NGers led them to join you not long ago. Then the most recent new recruit was caught brazenly trying to undermine your former ally by attempting to poach them to join your alliance, an ally which NG has no love for. Smells like monkey business to me but if you're comfortable with the idea that everything is above board, then who am I to argue otherwise without proof? Just an observation, some food for thought.
  20. I was curious as to the why the other people weren't liked, LWW cleared that part up though. Spare the faux-outrage though, seems you guys got your hands caught in a cookie jar and are annoyed at being caught out. There's been a few of your NGers joining FTW lately, haven't there?
  21. Weird, this is about some merger involving Wayward Sons. So why are NG and FTW in here frothing at the mouth? 🤔
  22. Boycott Big Malt; support traditional Farkistan Malters 🍺
