The difference is "nuts" used in their context was a moral boosting allusion to an act of defiance. Indeed they are out numbered and defiant, check. In the context of the other posters, the historical and strategic links are disregarded and "Nuts" is used similarly to how a child would repeat everything their target would say for the purpose of annoying.
