UCR made an agreement to reach out before responding to anything. If they had just reached out to resolve the issue, it likely would have been resolved with very little trouble. Instead, they elected to forsake, ignore or disregard the agreement that they made. That makes their word worth nothing. We will see how it plays out, but right now there isn't going to be a lot of trust moving forward, I think. Not with someone that readily ignores their agreements to launch attacks with no effort to resolve things diplomatically for a treaty they failed to even announce or publicly recognize. I actually misread the thread, it was passed Octobor 1st. Either way, though, it's a fundamental disagreement on what constitutes justified defense. I don't recognize defending unaligneds as defense when you don't even try any form of diplomacy in the process. Had they actually approached Bundy, I would be more understanding of their position from a recruiting sense, but I still wouldn't agree with it. Most of us in DS are old and retired, we only come out when we have to, and don't do much of the politics anymore. We exist enough to do something when prodded, as is the case with much of the game. There was no nefarious grand scheme or plan, were just old and tired

Bundy announced in his DoE that he was protected, though he did not officially disclose who was protecting his aa. Regardless, as our allies can affirm since we already informed them about it, we protecting them in conjunction of another alliance. He should have disclosed it publicly, but as the aggressors, they should have done research into who the Protectors were before declaring the war

They chose to hit, instead of a diplomatic approach? And why are we arguing with Johnny instead if UCR, given Johnny isn't the one to have declared this war? I don't think he is capable of providing UCRs stance or reasoning in this situation
